Who: Saburouta Bandou and Tatara Totsuka
What: Bandou tracks down Shouhei's god to make sure the guy's good enough for him.
Where: Minerva's temple
When: July 1st - afternoon
Warnings: none!
[ So, the guy had shown up. The cheery, smiling idiot who did nothing but irritate Bandou every time he thought of those dreams he'd woken up to a few weeks ago. And he was a shinki, no less. Which means the idiot went and got himself killed. Probably cause he didn't bother to think of how his actions might effect other people or how he might be getting himself into something he couldn't handle on his own.
Thinking about it just pissed Bandou off. But there wasn't much he could do about it other than promise himself he'd look after the guy now that he was here. That and make sure whoever had been placed as his god wasn't some asshole who wouldn't care.
So with a little help from Eno, Bandou found out just who he needed to have a little chat with. But what's the point in texting or calling the guy up when he can just show up at his temple and bang loudly at the front door! ]

There's two that reside here, some might say -- one with a hat, and one... with a hat that he's given a name to, now, as it turns out. So Bandou might have to be a little more descriptive in clarifying which idiot he's looking for, either way.
Not that Tatara's expecting that company to come calling tonight, of course. So a loud banging at the front entrance definitely snaps his bright eyes open wide, even earning a tiny jump. Naturally, Tatara being Tatara, there's no "who is it?" that prefaces anything, just a door that pulls away... to reveal a face that's familiar.
...ish. What happened to his shades? No matter -- it doesn't stop the blond from a reflexive exclamation -- ]
San-chan! [ It's followed immediately by emphatic waving. ] Come in, come in~!

Eh?
[ ...did he just call him 'San-chan'?? How did he know that nickname? Yeah Bandou'd instructed Shouhei to call him it after he first re-introduced himself to his old friend, but that meant Shouhei must have told his god all about that meeting. Right? ]
Ah, okay?
[ Rubbing at the back of his head, definitely a little more than confused, Bandou slowly follows the guy through the large front door of his temple. ]

...yep, let's go with that -- blame it on Shouhei, telling Tatara to call him "San-chan". That works.
He closes the door behind his guest, gesturing to a sectional sofa he's got in the living room. ]
Please, sit! Make yourself at home!
[ Already, his mind's turning with ideas on how to be as hospitable as possible, even though this is all on a whim. Should he offer tea? ]
What brings you over at this hour?

I just wanted to talk with you about Shouhei.

[ He sounds questioning rather than surprised, as Tatara honestly could have expected that. It’s Bandou, after all.
He makes no immediate move to ask what his guest wants with “his shinki”, nor is he inclined to call Shouhei by that title whatsoever. To him, he’s a friend and a partner, same as he was in their last life. Nothing changes just because he’s given the other man a name.
Tatara sits across from Bandou, leaned forward, hands neatly in his lap. ]
Sure! What would you like to discuss?

I wanna make sure you're gonna be a good god for him. Not someone who's gonna be an asshole. But someone who'll take care of him and make sure he doesn't do stupid things by himself.
no subject
Ehh? An asshole? Is that what San-chan thinks? [ Alas, you wound him, Bandou!
How long have we known each other, now?, is that he wants to say. But given that he’s pretty sure Bandou’s a shinki, the answer to that might not be helpful. Ah, well -- shall he take it from the top, then? ]
Shouhei and I are friends, just the same as San-chan and Shouhei are. [ Well, not exactly the same, Tatara thinks; but he won’t split hairs here. ]
no subject
What, already??
[ He clicks his tongue. ]
I mean, good. Cause you two have to work together now. And I wasn't going to let you take advantage of him if you were that kind of person.
no subject
If I was, do you really think I would have invited you in? Especially if I had something to hide.
[ His smile broadens, hazel eyes scrunching closed for a moment. ]
I know you care for Shouhei. So San-chan is welcome here any time, unannounced or not.

[ Bandou visibly relaxes. This guy seems like a good guy. ]
Don't tell him any of this, but I know Shouhei from when we were both alive. I woke up one day and remembered everything about him.
[ Something that's even stranger now that he knows it wasn't just a bunch of extremely vivid but random dreams. ]
