Who: Roxas & Fujin; Roxas & Izumo
When: July 9th; July 11th
Where: Hawaii; Somwhere
What: Mission 7; Mission 8
[Roxas has decided that he really needs to buckle down and do some more missions and prayers. As much as he sometimes didn't like being a goddess, a job was a job.
And he may as well learn how to have some fun with it if he can.
There's more excitement than anything about just what kind of missions he can go on and with who.]

Mission #7
Receiving a letter asking for help was even less expected.
Of course Roxas is willing to help! He's all set to go before he can even let Sora, Kairi, and the others know he's even off on a mission. He can always just get them some gifts later... Hawaii was a place he knew not to take a hoodie to, so for one Roxas leaves his favorite clothing item at home and off he goes to Hawaii.
Seeing as he's never been to America before, all these different people and tourists throw him off a bit. Wearing weird hats and flower covered clothes, some of them as red as lobsters from the sun. So weird compared to the parts of Japan he's been to. It was sunnier and smells a lot nice for one. Finding the main part of the shrine pretty unoccupied right now since it was early morning (time zones what are they), he sneaks into the building.]
Fujin-[Honorifics, Roxas, use them!]-sama? It's Artemis. Are you here?
no subject
[His voice calls from the far right of the room. The wind god is seated on the floor of the temple with his back leaning against the wall. He looks pretty comfortable with one leg up and the other stretched out in front of him. On his right side is a small pile of various colorful papers and on his left is a lit candle with a small bowl next to it.]
There's just no escaping your godlings, is there?
[A lazy bitter chuckle escapes his lips as he lifts up one of the strands of paper, eyes glancing over it because it's clearly more interesting then the god in front of him.]
no subject
I don't know what a godling is-[He glances up.]-but I've gotta reason for finding you!
[Note to self: look up godling later. Roxas stands up fully, rubbing the back of his neck.]
I probably should have brought one of my shinki since she's a lot better at talking than me... but I've got a question. Why do you hate us so much? It's not like we asked to be gods and shinki.
no subject
That would be you. All of you new baby gods. Think duck to duckling only a unlike a newborn duck, godlings lack common basic instinct. But I'll give you credit for the bow and correct honorfic. Good job.
[ Though the bow is at least some progress in the right direction. More then he can say for a lot of the new gods he's has the displeasure of meeting. Still, it's not that impressive. Espeically when he mentions his shinki. Fuujin shakes his head.]
Then why didn't you? A god without a shinki is useless for just about anything. Well, unless you're a God of Fortune like myself.
[His lips thin into a strained teasing smile. He idly twirls the paper wish between his fingers before holding it against the flame of the candle. Once the paper catches and the flames reach about half way, he drops the paper into the bowl for it to finish.
The question actually draws a laugh out of Fuujin.]
Hate you? Oh, I don't hate any of you. That would imply you're actually even worth that much. I tolerate you because I have to because Amaterasu's heart is so big. You godlings lack manners, common sense and take the stupidest risk that you rub off on to your shinki like a disease. I pity your shinki more then anything.
no subject
You mean I'm useless when there's an ayakashi around. I don't need my shinki to come with me everywhere I go. I don't mind doing things on my own. Sometimes it's more fun that way.
[You can find things that you normally can't when worrying about having someone keep up with you.
His eyes are drawn to the paper that was burning, wondering if this was how to make the wish come true, or if... are those wishes made by the new gods here? If they are, which Roxas hopes they aren't, that would be cruel. Don't literally burn wishes to not make them come true.]
You don't have to. That's your own choice. [That part's muttered before he replies.] You can't just expect everyone to be like you and the old gods. That's not really fair to us or our shinki! I've been to a ton of different worlds. Everywhere is unique, with different people and creatures, different adventures you can have, but you can still make friends with everyone there. Unless they're trying to kill you... don't make friends with those people... I think if you told the new shinki you pity them they'd get upset.
no subject
[But okay, Roxas can do what he wants. Godlings are still learning, he needs to remember that. Suijin had told him to be a little more patient with the new gods but it's so annoying sometimes.]
I don't care about the different worlds you've been to, you're in this one. This world has rules that most of you completely ignore despite being warned. Be as unique as you want to be but respect the world you're a stranger to. It's really a wonder how you godlings haven't corrupted more of your own shinki. That's why I pity them. All shinki are in danger when it comes to you godlings because you can't accept the world you're in and keep your mouths shut.
no subject
Kairi's just better at talking to people, that's all.
[OKAY THAT'S HARSH AND HITS HARD. Roxas grits his teeth, curling his hands into fists as he glares at Fuujin.]
Maybe if the old gods like you had warned us before anyone got hurt, it would never happen! We can't read your minds and know what we can and can't do with a shinki. It's not like you hand out rule books to us! You just assume we know! [This guy...] No one knew that a shinki would turn into an ayakashi if you told them about their past! No one told us, so how could we stop it? That feeling we get? That's pretty easy to ignore if you're riled up... so stop acting like we're doing things wrong when you're not telling us what to look out for!
no subject
Warned you? Ha! When you first arrived did you not have a messenger of Ammy's around to explain things? Were you not forced to attend Suijin's conclave back in May? It doesn't matter if we hold our hands out to you goldings....We have gone out of our way, wasting our time and resources on you ungrateful little shits. Why Amaterasu wastes her tears on you godlings....it pisses me off.
[His voice is low, even as he raises to his feet. A harsh gust of wind blows back from around Fuujin, the doors of the shrine are blown open from the force. If Roxas doesn't stand firm, he's likely to be blown back as well.]
Don't talk down to me, child. [Fuujin's voice gives a low growl.]
You have been warned. That isn't the problem. It's that you don't listen and think you're above our rules. You talk and complain about how this isn't your world when this is the only world your shinki know. This is their world now, a second chance after death and thus their past lives shouldn't matter. But that's not enough. All of you have to poke, give a slip your tongues and drop stupid reckless hints to get your shinki curious. You can't let them just make new, maybe better, memories and possibly enjoy that second chance at life, can you? The ayakashi and God's Greatest Secret aren't the problem here...
[He raises his hand, pointing at Roxas] it's you.
no subject
[The wind is nothing. Roxas has faced far angrier and stronger things.]
You want them to have a good second life? Stop bringing shinki here that people know from their own worlds! I didn't want Kairi here, not like that, and neither did Sora! And why do some people come here as shinki, leave, and come back as gods?! That makes no sense!
[He narrows his eyes.] Then I'd rather be a problem than someone as old and bitter as you.
no subject
[Fuujin's blood is boiling. The wind surrounding the two of them is growing more powerful with the shrine itself threatening to give way to it at any moment. The howling wind is already starting to tear the building apart from the inside out. But it's not just the inside of the temple, its spreading out from Fuujin and kicking up the winds of the island itself. But Fuujin only has eyes for Roxas right now as he glares down the young god.]
You're an idiot if you think we're bringing you second-rate gods here. I don't make Amaterasu cry, it's you! The shinki that become ayakashi are only symptoms. You're the cause! The cause of your own shinki demise and nothing will ever change that! We can have all the meetings, send all the messengers but it doesn't change the fact that none of you listen! You have no respect for those above you or for this world.
[He steps closer, hands clenched into fist as he stops in front of Roxas.]
If you'd rather be a problem then your existence is meaningless to me. But a god isn't the only one that gets punished for standing against heaven, keep that in mind before you decide to pick a fight with me, godling.
no subject
Which falters at the last part.]
.... you'd hurt innocent people just to get at me? [Eyes widen, a frown slowly forming, Roxas trying to think of- Oh... his voice drops down. Fuujin might need some good hearing to understand Roxas.] No wonder people call the gods cruel... you hurt innocent people and animals just because you hate each other. For wanting to protect humans, why do you want to go after them just because someone is making you mad? Not even the Witch back in Koriko was like that... she took my freedom, my name, everyone else's, too, but she never took her anger on one person out on the rest of us.
[The anger he feels is more directed at all of the old gods now.]
I'm glad I'm a godling then. I don't want to be cruel to my followers or any of the other's followers just because of some grudge. I guess being a human turned god makes you more benevolent. Most of the shinki were humans, too. So do you hate us for being new gods or them for being human?
no subject
[Fuujin gives a dismissive hand wave. He likes to help humans despite how oblivious they are. But that's also how it should be. They pray to him and make him that much more powerful. Despite the accusations and tone Roxas is using, Fuujin seems to calm down a little. Chuckling even. The wind circling around them doesn't stop. He's still clearly pissed off but for the moment...this is sort of funny. Here have a rough and forceful head pat you dumb godling.]
Idiot! Do you hear yourself? The hell do you take me for? That's the problem with you godlings, you don't see the big picture! You tunnel vision everything. Let me clear some of that up for you, brat. What you do, how you act, doesn't reflect just on you but on those around you. Your guide post.
[He stands straight again, arms crossed as he scowls at the blonde.]
I hate you because you're stupid, ungrateful, whiny little brats that have no respect. I pity your shinki because of that too. You're dangerous.
[Fuujin turns on his heels, turning his back to Roxas as the wind finally dies down. He gives another dismissive wave]
If you ever come at me again don't expect me to be in such a merciful mood. Work on your manners and attitude, godling, or you'll never last.
no subject
He huffs softly when Fuujin turns away from him.]
I don't care if my attitude or manners are what you hate about me. I'm here to help the people of the Near Shore. I don't care if they're my followers, if they hate gods, or anything like that. As long as they're safe and happy, I'm happy. I wouldn't be going after ayakashi, doing prayers, or any of that if it wasn't to help the people who need it.
[Biting his lip before he goes on.] I know not every godling like me thinks like that. And I get that we're dangerous... but as long as we're helping humans and those like us, that's what matters, right? We're trying to keep ayakashi from destroying everything.
[This is winding up a lot harder than he thought. Sora would make a huge speech right now.]
Even if you hate us, can't we at least work together to keep the world from falling into darkness?

Mission #8
Roxas.
It makes him wonder just what kind of trouble the young god had gotten himself into, but since Izumo's never one to really refuse a request, he thought it'd be good to find Roxas in the mean time.
So he sends a text:] Where are you? Can we meet?
no subject
Seeing a text from Izumo, he smiles before replying.]
Sure! Where at?
no subject
[And he'll send Roxas the location.
Roxas, he is both concerned and bemused over this letter, okay.]
no subject
Izumo?
no subject
Hope I wasn't disturbing anything.
[Because he's going to show Roxas Orihime's letter.]
no subject
So what's up?
no subject
[Taking out the note, he hands it over to Roxas.
He frowns slightly.]
Did you do something recently to earn yourself a reputation?
no subject
He takes the note and reads it.]
.......... Fuujin.
[It takes a lot for him not to crumple up the note.] Just got into a fight with one of the old gods.
no subject
Izumo raises an eyebrow at him.]
I won't ask. [Because he really doesn't want to know just how Roxas got into a fight with Fuujin.]
no subject
Thanks... So. We're crossing the river to find something of Hikoboshi's... Let's go then!
no subject
Good thing they're at the bridge then.]
Let's go. Hopefully we can manage to get something. [Time to cross the bridge then?]
no subject
So it's with some hesitancy that he starts walking across the bridge, remaining quiet the whole time.
Once on the other side he takes a deep breath.] Should we stick together?
