Where: Somewhere in the entertainment area of the living world
What: Prayer # 27: A prayer for entertainment. Sorey and Mikleo help aspiring stars become the best of themselves with some side shenanigans.

Whoa... it's huge.

[ Mikleo who happened to approach the scenario first thing was completely mesmerized by the skyscraper buildings and the amount of condensed buildings next to each other. He's never seen such things before and even though he did venture to this area once or twice with Sorey, it was still incredibly new to him.

He was fascinated and intrigued. Even more so when this specific area was filled with aspiring artists. People were singing and dancing on the street, albeit terrible in some ways, but nonetheless, they were doing their best and he couldn't help but taken in by the atmosphere. He momentarily stopped to gaze at every individual that was walking by in the crowded urban streets.

He didn't really understand an ounce about the world of entertainment but it didn't stop him from learning about it. ]

Sorey did you see that?

[ Someone was making an almost fascinating sound from an instrument that he was pointing to. ] Is that what they called-- a uh guitar?

I bet we could see the entire city from there! [ Sorey beams, looking to the top. It's a lot bigger than he even imagined.... This is the first time they've had a chance to look at the city a little closer than they had before.

He cringes slightly when he hears the singing, but offers wary smiles their way all the same. This... was why they were here, right? But really, how bad could they really be?

He blinks when Mikleo calls his name, following Mikleo's gaze. ] -- Hey, yeah! [ He answers him. ] I've read about those before! Looks like we'll get to hear one for ourselves....

Yeah. I wonder if we can go up one of those buildings before heading back.

[ Because there has to be an entrance somewhere right? Even stairs will do. He wants to see what the view is like on one of those large skyscrapers. He's never seen a view from something like that before. It made sense. Mikleo feels the same way. Usually they are only in certain parts of the city when they have to do something.

Mikleo flinches briefly at the sound too but he doesn't really know how to fix it other than help the other person practice. Unfortunately, music isn't really his strong suit. He doesn't know if Sorey has anymore experience than he does. ]

Yeah it's a whole different image when you're looking at the real thing though.

It seems like the group of people over there are our clients? I wonder what would be the right word for those who pray to gods. In any case lets approach them.

Why not head back here later if we can't this time? [ well, the buildings aren't going anywhere, after all. ]

He can't help but blink when he hears how they're continuing to play, scratching the side of his head and offering a sheepish smile. If these weren't their clients, he can only imagine what their clients actually do sound like.... They're there because their playing is poor, right? ]

They're over there, right? Let's go.

That's true.

[ Buildings don't disappear over night but he can't hide that he's curious about it all. There are more important things to focus on right now instead of the layout of a large cityscape. I will just have to wait per usual. not that it will bother him too much. He's enjoying himself buildings or no.

He knows he's not the only one that's excited. He doesn't know the culture of people performing on the streets so it can be a possibility. ]

Yeah I can hear them from here.

[ He takes a few bigger strides ahead. ]

[ The closer the walk, the more Sorey can't help but cringe at the sound of it all. They weren't kidding when they said their playing was pretty bad. ... It could be worse? And hey, they got to see a lot of near stuff by doing all of this! ]

... Guess this is where that prayer comes in, huh?

[ Mikleo's trying not to look like he's cringing at the sounds but it's kind of hard as well. He doesn't know what kind of instruments those are but he's pretty sure it's not supposed to be used that way. There are always situations that can be worse but thankfully it's not that bad and seeing new things definitely makes things ten times better. ]

I suppose so. However, how do we assist without knowing how these things work? Reading about it is one thing.

The only other thing I can think of is learning from someone who can play them well.

[ Though, it also definitely looks harder than he thought... Still, it'd be pretty fun to learn something new, wouldn't it? ]

That's probably a start. Though, I'm curious on how difficult it will be to find someone in the field. That's not a bad thought.

[ Someone who has experience was also a thought on his mind but the question if they can find someone who could do that. The idea of them learning it themselves too would be fun but it all depends on how much they time they had to help these individuals fulfill their prayers. ]

There's a chance that we can find someone nearby. There's a lot of people who seem to be playing nearby, aren't there?

[ Even amidst the people who... aren't playing so well... There seems to be others who are playing a lot better. ]

We can ask and see.

[ he has his concerns but he supposed they can address it once they get further into this prayer. The idea in itself was good. It was true that there were plenty of people playing around on the street but the question was-- how willing were they to share their secrets? ]

Where should we start first before we dive in?

[ Sorey looks around carefully then, taking in the sights around him. He points then - looking to the side. ]

How about there?

Good choice. They seem friendly engaging with the people passing them.

[ Mikleo nods as he started walking in that general direction where Sorey had pointed ]

Let's go talk to them, then.

[ Or technically, just... him.... He begins to make his way to that group of people, then. ]

[water_meebo]

[ Mikleo nods his head. He has more or less accepted that he can't be seen so most of the talking will have to be done through Sorey. He at least trusts his God's communication skills and will probably step in to assist on the side if he really needs to. ]

Sure.

[ He nods his head as they both make it to the large group of performers. ]

[handle]

[ Sorey does the same as he did the last time - speaking for both himself and Mikleo. ]


... Excuse me, sir. I was wondering if I could have a second of your time.

[water_meebo]

[ Mikleo only hovers over Sorey as the other asks the individual questions. He would very much like to speak to people of the living world but it seemed like it was the same procedure as his own world. Humans didn't and couldn't see him... except gods and other shinkis. ]

Eh?

[ The young man turned around at the addressing. ]

It better be a quick second. I need to get this recording done for the livestream.

Sorry, I'll be really quick!

[ He explains what he wants then - asking politely if he could just learn a little bit about playing. ]

Fine, what is it?

[ Mikleo peeked over at the guy as he seemed strangely rude to Sorey, but somehow he can kind of understand from watching all the random musicians on the street.

At least the man takes his words into consideration and showed Sorey a few gestures on how to play the instrument correctly. Since the boy somehow eased out the man's gruffness he eventually offered his instrument for Sorey to try. ]

[ Sorey watches as he explains and shows him how to play the instrument - going over the basics in a near hurried manner. Sorey quickly nods his head each time, offering him a wide smile in return. ]

Thanks a lot! I think I'm starting to get it! [ He looks to Mikleo then, seeing if he's starting to understand, as well. ]

[ He'll even had maybe a few tips on how to change the tones and such since he's never seen someone so passionate about learning on these parts of the streets. All the while, Mikleo just watched as the two of them were going at it.

It would seem strange if he attempted it and the residence saw a floating instrument. ]

No problem kid. I thought you were trouble stopping me in the middle of the day. Just remember, ya gotta be passionate about this stuff. You can't half ass it.

[ Mikleo put a hand under his chin as he nodded his head. Watching certainly helped. ]

... Yeah. I think I know what you mean. It sounds like you'll be able to go far with this sort of thing.

[ He beams at Mikleo then, sending another nod his way before waving at the man and telling him good bye. ]

What do you think? Do you think we'll both have the hang of it?

Ya think so? Thanks man.

[ The person seemed rather happy to hear the compliment as he grinned from ear to ear at Sorey's word. ]

[ Mikleo trailed behind Sorey not too long after they bid their good byes. ]

I think so, but I'd rather let you do the work. I don't think the people here will take well to a floating instrument being played.

[ He can't help but laugh at that. ]

Yeah. That's true. Guess it's up to me, then.

[ Not that he really minds. Mikleo can't help not being seen and all. ]

[ It would be incredibly fun to watch but at the same time, he's going to have be discreet about messing around. Plus, he's not out to play pranks on anyone and this prayer is really important. ]

You can handle it without a doubt.

[ He replied in an encouraging tone. He really can't and it can be a bit saddening but it's fine. He has people he can still talk to and see when they're back in the world of Gods. Sorey can also see him as well so he's not completely alone. ]

I'll do my best to live up to your faith in me!

[ He beams at Mikleo, suddenly feeling like he could definitely take care of it... Though, he can't help but admit that he's a little nervous. He's going into this without doing this before or really practicing... ]

Just do your best.

[ Because he can't honestly expect Sorey to be perfect at this. He was only taught the tricks right on the spot. Whatever Sorey can do, he's sure it will help out the people in a long run. All they can do is really try right now. ]

Will do.

[ He offers a smile at that, moving forward then towards their new destination. All he had to do was try what he learned... Right? Well, he'll try - like he said. ]

[ There's a nod of approval from the water seraph as Sorey smiled at him. Good. They'll make some progress with this somehow right? That's all they need to do. ]
