The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[Corrin stops as she turns to Leo with a pout.]

It looks really cool! I won't let you get in trouble, I promise!

[While she wants to run around, she doesn't want to get Leo in trouble by accident. There has to be something they can do. She starts messing with her fingers as she digs her shoe in the ground. Her maids aren't around, it's fine.]

Can we go to places together? If we walk, that will work right? I promise I won't run off again, please!

[It's always so hard to spend time with Leo even when he visits the fortress. It's a rare time where her maids aren't around. She can't lose this chance!

In the morning! I brought you here to sleep and eat because there's food and I think it's whatever was for dinner last night but it's already made so we don't have to worry.

[twilightdragon]

[Corrin instantly brightens up.]

Okay! We'll go in the morning! Really? What did they make for dinner?

[brynwieldr]

...I'm not sure, but I tried some and it tasted good. It was a flat bread with tomato sauce and cheese and meat on it.

[Pizza. Leo's grown fond of frozen pizza here, since it's so easy to cook with the countertop pizza oven thing he has.]

That sounds really tasty. In the fortress I eat vegetables all the time.

[Corrin made a face as she shook her head. She didn't like them very much, despite her maid's words.]

Where are we going to sleep? This place looks really big.

[brynwieldr]

There's beds, or there's a big room with a glass dome we can make spaces in if we need it. I think it's for stargazing? There's books about constellations there.

[twilightdragon]

That room sounds really big. Hey Leo, can we look at the stars before bed? Can we? Um, do we have to sleep in separate rooms or can we stay in the one with the glass dome?

[She's a bit nervous about sleeping in a place this big by herself.]

Well...I might have to sleep with Takumi and Aymeric because we're boys?

[Maybe?]

But you're my sister and a princess so I don't care where you sleep. If you want to sleep wherever we sleep, then go ahead.

[twilightdragon]

[Takumi? Aymeric? Did Leo make some friends? He did! She wouldn't want to disturb their boys only room, but she doesn't like the idea of being alone. She relaxes at his suggestion and nods.]

Okay! Thank you! Don't worry I won't sleep near you guys. Um, are they your friends Leo? Are they inside?

They are! Takumi's from Hoshido and I dunno where Aymeric's from, but he's really cute and nice and I like him.

[twilightdragon]

Your friends sound great! Hoshido? I heard about that place before! Does he dress like in the books?

[Corrin can't help giggling at the way Leo talks about his other friend Aymeric.]

You said he's really cute! Do you like, like him Leo?

[Corrin hasn't heard Leo call someone else cute besides Elise. That's so cute! She can't miss this chance to tease Leo either.]

No, he doesn't and Aymeric's six, Corrin! I can't like-like a six year old! I'm ten.

[Corrin laughs, teasing Leo is always so fun.]

Do they know magic like you?

[brynwieldr]

No one knows magic like me, Corrin. Not even Xander!

[twilightdragon]

Oh yeah, Xander isn't that good in magic either. But Leo do they know how to use magic? Any type of magic?

[brynwieldr]

I don't think so. They're too little.

[twilightdragon]

Wow, they wouldn't know how to hold a sword either.

[Not that Corrin is doing so well in her training, but she's working on it!]
