The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[ Oh, but like hell are you just going to call people idiots and start walking off. Seems like a good time to grab the kid by the back of his clothes. ]

You need to pay more attention to where you're going and learn to apologize to people you run into.

[And just who the hell do you think you are? Fuujin narrows his eyes and glares at Shizuo over his shoulder. Excuse you.]

Piss off and unhand me before I send you to join that eye-patch kid.

Who?

[ But you really shouldn't just go threatening people, kid. Especially the clueless ones that don't know better. Because now this blond pre-teen is gonna lift you up by that hold on the back of your clothes. ]

I guess it doesn't matter. I'll just have to bring you back to whatever temple you're from- in your right not. Especially when you're running into and threatening people constantly. You're gonna get in trouble that way.

[fuuthewind]

[He warned you Shizuo. Well...threaten-warned. Same thing. Picking Fuujin up isn't going to help his temper at all either. The wind is starting to pick up a bit around them. It wasn't this windy before.]

You'll do nothing other then put me down.

[The words come hissed, he's not struggling--he doesn't need to with what's about to happen. You have five seconds]

[ Vague threats don't work if no one gets the context around them. And while it's weirdly windy all of the sudden, Shizuo's not thinking much of it. He's dumb and has no self-preservation. It was always like this.

Clearly this means he has to change the way he's doing things. By holding the kid under one arm before turning around and walking in the direction Fuujin came from. ]

I'll put you down when you're in a better state or in front of the temple you're from. Or you can explain why you're not paying attention to where you're going.

Either of those ways is up to you.

[Okay. Fuujin holds out his hands, palms down towards the ground. That wind picks up around them but more pressing is Fuujin using a blast of wind to propel Shizuo and himself into the air like a rocket. Unless Shizuo lets go, Which he should. Seriously what is this guys problem?]

Hah?

[ See, now it's clearly dangerous. Meaning he should hold on tighter to make sure he doesn't drop the kid. Actually, given that Shizuo's a shinki, it's probably pretty easy to propel him up into the air.

Luckily the guy isn't afraid of heights, or landing from great ones. In fact, as they get sent up into the air, as if this wasn't all Fuujin's doing, he seems to trying to act responsible. ]

Don't worry, I'm not gonna drop you. I'm pretty good at landing.

[fuuthewind]

I want you to drop me you idiot!

[He practically shouts as they go flying. He even struggles in Shizuo's grip but in this tiny body he's so weak]

[bartenderizing]

... I'm not dropping you this high in the air.

[ Duh. He's not so irresponsible. This is your luck, Fuujin. You clearly upset one of the Fates. ]

[fuuthewind]

[He hisses but with Shizuo not letting him go, he doesn't exactly want to go flying into the ground himself so there will be a big gust of wind guiding them down gently when they get closer to the ground.]
