Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Few were ever gods before, at least in their own minds. One of Zeno's own shinki says we're not like gods to her at all. Just people who remember their lives.

[But he chuckles fondly as he recounts that, clearly thinking it's a little naive. But then, most ideal things are.]

But everyone's inclinations are different, and Zeno thinks you're adorable, and we serve the same god, so that's all there is to it!

[It's really something they should be teaching the new shinki immediately, he thinks, but it can't really be helped if the guy is still pretty new, can it?]

It's good to get a head start on learning these things.

[At least, that way, you can be prepared when something does come up. It does make him wonder, though,] You know how to cast one, right?

When did I become a queen?

[ Tsubasa asks, bemused. That's certainly not a title she's earned, and she doesn't recall being the descendant of royalty. Not that she would be able to recall any part of her family tree. ]

There's nothing physical... I heard it's possible to trap shinki with a spell if you have their true names, but you're a god, so...

[ Tsubasa circles around Hibiki, wondering. ]

But first I should get this out of the way. It's dangerous.

[ She doesn't usually do well with cleaning up after herself, but a knife sticking out of the ground requires at least that much attention, so she plucks it out, unwittingly dispelling the Shadow Weave.

Regardless of whatever precarious pose Hibiki is holding right now. ]

[Knowing Keith, it should be pretty simple to guess how he'd start out practice, and he wastes no time in dishing out an attack borderline.]

[It's quick, well aimed, and flashes brightly. Hope you're prepared to block it, because he definitely isn't pulling punches with this practice.]

Shinki training

[Kaya had been informed of the situation by Zeno, and she goes to Bishamon's temple to meet her new partner of sorts. The hall is familiar, as she's trained there before. She has yet to make real progress, but a lot has happened since the first time she's been here.

It's not hard to find the girl. Hair as red as Yona. Cute. Yes, that seemed to be the one she's looking for.

Gently, she taps Chise's shoulder. Kaya's smiling in a calm way, but in reality she's a little nervous. Hopefully they can get along!]

Sorry, hello? You're Chise, right? Um, my name is Kaya and I'm Zeno's other shinki. It's very nice to meet you!

[ 'Our age' seems about right. Even though Goku's got no idea how old that is. He feels old enough, even though he doesn't remember living through any of those years especially. It seems wrong to consider himself zero though, somehow. ]

...so what happened to your other shinkis?

[ Goku didn't ask about memories, but maybe that's secretly what he wanted to know: if gods-who-used-to-be-shinki get their memories back. And does it change them at all?

He wants to think about it, but doesn't want to at the same time. It's a little weird. ]

Maybe you can ask the person who used to be your god before?

[ It does look like a wall, glowy and pretty. Goku watches it with fascination. ]

Do you do anything different to get that version? I mean, compared to what I did before.

Mmm, yeah that one looks good.

[ Goku is a big fan of fruits, especially peaches. He scarfs down the rest of the cheesy cake and then gets back to the sandwich he had in his hand. Hey, training makes a guy hungry, okay? ]

So do they feed us like this all the time? Hehe. Maybe it's not so bad being dead.

[ Hmm...Goku ponders on that word. ]

You mean like the kinds of weapons or food you might have here?

[ Weapons, because he knows they're supposed to be fighters here and that's the first thing that comes to mind as being a handy resource to have for such a situation. And food because...well. It's always important to be well fed. You can't fight on an empty stomach. ]

except not, because she manages to turn dropping into a dramatic, leg spread pose, one hand in her bangs

they settle to an arrangement of purple sparkles drifting on the breeze, and her gaze flicks upward

Then she fixes her posture, and adjusts her tie. ] Heh.

[ That appears to have fixed it, Tsubasa. In case you hadn't noticed, dazzled by the incredible talent on display. ]

A. Physical Training
[ Tsuna figures he could learn something while he's here. He's never been very good at any sort of training, or anything dealing with physical activity. However now the he's a god and has a shinki to consider, he figures he owes it to them to at least try. So Tsuna is looking a bit wary at the various weapons on display, but he chooses the ones closest to his own abilities. A pair of boxing gloves, and he works on hitting a punching bag. Though his hits doesn't really make the training prop wiggle in the least!]

[ Tsuna takes a well deserved break. He decides to hide out in the garden. He could have had lunch with his new shinki, but he figures that Yata wants to focus on his training. He sighs to himself looking back on how awful his attempts at training has been. Just thinking about it just makes him a little depressed. Maybe some kind words or familiar faces will cheer the god up.]

[At the very edge of the garden, just shy of getting an annoying shinki attached to him, Gokudera can be found sitting on the ground with piles of dynamites in front of him. He woke up with a lot of them on his person, but he doesn't remember how to use them. They feel familiar to him, but that's about it. And it's frustrating him to no end. It's not like he's trying to recall his memories...all of them have been warned about the dangers of that. But using these, at least, he wishes he can recall.

He's in the middle of deciding whether to light one or not when the rustling of branches nearby alerts him to someone else's presence. Gokudera immediately snaps his head towards their direction, and meets the newcomer with a glare. A look that is just daring the other to make a comment about the shinki and his dynamites...if they want to be in a world of pain, that is.

Gokudera growls.]

[ Tsuna doesn't mean to startle whoever is on the other side of the bush, he brushes pass. At first, he's already starting to apologize for making them uneasy. Yet that familiar and very nostalgic glares makes Tsuna pause. His mouth open as the words are unable to leave it, and his brown eyes shine with recognition.

This is...Gokudera!]

[He quickly stops himself from uttering the other's name from habit! He remembers how Hibari reacted when he spoke his name by accident, and the last thing he wants is to anger Gokudera as well.

Especially when he looks down at the other's feet and sees all the dynamite spread all over the place. Somehow that distracts Tsuna from figuring out how to handle the Gokudera who has no memories of him.

He starts pointing at the dynamite on the ground.]

HIIIIIEEE!! D-D-DYNAMITE!

[ Tsuna is running up to Gokudera, gathering them up and tossing them away from the shinki! Even in this state, shouldn't he know not to play with these things?!]

That's dangerous! You're going to hurt yourself!

[He doesn't even think about whether or not Gokudera will try to attack him because of his foolish actions. In retrospect he realizes none of them are even lit, so he's definitely over reacting!]

Is it? Zeno wasn't sure.

[Though there's more to it than hand motions. Zeno assumes. No one's taught him how to borderline, though Kaya was interested in learning. Kaya was lately his benchmark for 'how cute is this,' and that was only mostly because he could barely see anything else around the hearts in his eyes.]

Did you do it? Zeno isn't sure of that, either.

Well, with Hana-san, I think I was just borrowing her until Hibari showed up?

[To be honest, he's still not sure why he was asked to send her back, although he is grateful he didn't have to deal with Hibari's reaction to being a shinki and not being the only one all at once.]

And then Hibari...Hi-kun's very territorial and already didn't like me very much, so he decided he wanted to leave after Eric showed up and I made it clear I wasn't going to just abandon him.

[Tsuna doesn't know what to expect especially when Yata's body language seems as if he's apprehensive of showing Tsuna. Is his power something to be ashamed of? So he watches as Yata is able to engulf part of his arm in Red Aura. However to Tsuna it looks like something from his world. Storm flames are the same crimson and has a similar characteristics to Yata's power.]

That's really cool, Yata! I never saw someone handle those kind of flames with their bare hands before...not even I can do that!

[As for his inability to do a proper borderline, Tsuna doesn't seem at all disappointed. Especially if it seems as if Yata is trying really hard. He gives the other a reassuring look.]

I'm sure you'll get it eventually, but a wall of fire seems really useful too. You have to show me later, okay?

[ Though he isn't going to allow Yata to be the only one to show his abilities. Tsuna shyly digs into his pockets to pull out a pair of wool looking mittens with the number '27' knitted on them. He hopes Yata doesn't laugh at him, Tsuna already knows it looks weird. He puts them over his hands, one of which has two very distinct rings on his fingers. Then Tsuna forces himself into Hyper Dying Will mode.

An orange flame igniting on his forehead, and his large brown eyes burn an ardent orange hue, similar to fire. Those dorky looking mittens transform into flaming red gauntlets. Just for emphasis, he makes orange flames engulf both gloves. From where Yata is standing he can feel the warmth his flames are emitting.]

It looks like we have similar powers.

[Tsuna's happy for the topic change. The last thing he wants to think about is training! The topic about his new shinki does perk him up a bit.]

Um...well I only met him today, but he seems cool so far. He possess a lot of energy, despite being a bit nervous about meeting me at first.

We're still working out some kinks with how to work together, but I think we'll be fine.

[Tsuna was very nervous about meeting his shinki too, but now he feels very good about it. He's grateful he has someone who he can easily talk to and work well with.]

[ Another person with fire powers! Yata's mouth drops open in surprise for a moment before he punches his fist into the air in delight. ]

Oh, hell yeah! That's really cool! [ It's obvious he's thrilled to find anyone with powers similar to his. Although his immediate thought afterwards is how similar? ]

Oh, hey. This might sound like a weird question but... Do you have one of these? [ Yata yanks his collar aside to reveal the strange brand on his collarbone, the one he's become more and more convinced has to do with his fire. Tsuna's a god, it's not like he would have forgotten about something like that, right? ]

[That depends on your perspective of what 'prompt' is, Kurosaki.
But she makes no comment, trusting that he will get his information in the end.]

"Usually" is not "always". Yet, unpalatable though it be by any guise, we expect your continued cooperation at those times. [She cannot help but draw the parallel to a child who doesn't like peas who is still expected to finish his whole meal. The image brings a lightness to her tone.]

Obon is not today though. I shall continue my observations, and leave you to your own contribution to today.

[Ah, yes. A good question, and one she had not considered. Her own armor is a part of her, and even her Einherjar have theirs materialized along with them when she summons them. Working with those who have their own proper bodies is different.]

[Fortunately, this too is well within her purview.] They will require routine care. I will demonstrate for you when you are done here, after you have used them, how to clean and oil them.

We're supposed to be... their guides. Their moral compasses, I guess. [Which goes to show, in Dust's mind, that the 'old' gods here either don't have shinki or have corrupted their shinki over time to forget that morality. So much happens they ought to get stung over, but don't.]
