Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Is it? Zeno wasn't sure.

[Though there's more to it than hand motions. Zeno assumes. No one's taught him how to borderline, though Kaya was interested in learning. Kaya was lately his benchmark for 'how cute is this,' and that was only mostly because he could barely see anything else around the hearts in his eyes.]

Did you do it? Zeno isn't sure of that, either.

[The others had fancy giant light-up walls, so if he did succeed, his is pretty plain in comparison.]

How are you not sure? You've never done this before?

Zeno's a god of youth. Hasn't had much need, so far.

[Kaya was doing this on her own initiative! It was adorable, though he'd been slowly kicking around some ideas... but he did everything slowly. The product of having too much time on his hands.]

That and Zeno will tell you a secret. Zeno's not a fan of the shinki set-up. Would prefer to avoid it as much as possible, but that's not much, going forward~

Is it that much of a secret?

[Hak sighs, because neither is he. He's yet to meet his god, and can only hope that they're at least as friendly as this kid but having a say in some things would have been nice.]

Not like we have much of a choice. We don't get to choose our gods, just like you don't get to choose your shinki, right?

Wouldn't be the first time Zeno lost track of what's kept secret and what isn't.

[He tilts his head.]

It's possible, but if the heavens have made an assignment, you either must break it mutually to pledge yourself to another, or else make the second bond without breaking the first. It's looked down upon quite a bit, to be so disloyal.

[Though Zeno doesn't assign much meaning to the word 'disloyal.' He states it as a cold, emotionless, nonjudgmental fact, the same way he'd state "it's half past noon."]

[There's a lingering silence as he considers all of it, his fingers shifting back into position in a more absent-minded fashion than before. It's a little hard to be optimistic about these things when you're dead, but no point in being completely pessimistic about it, especially when he won't have much of a say on who his god is.]

Well, let's hope it doesn't come to that. [He begins to draw a line with his fingers again, going back to mimicking what he's seen before.] I'll pray to the gods that mine is half as decent as you.

[He'll see how much good that'll do him.]

[He smiles so serenely, though. It's not his divinity that reassures him... but Yona is herself a reincarnation of a god, and now the replacement incarnation of another. He can't believe the heavens that love her so dearly would keep him from her.

Well. If you ignore the fact that he's dead at really quite a young age, after all, and she isn't. Him and Ryokuryuu and Seiryuu and the young boy... and Hakuryuu had been a shinki before, so surely...

What was happening to these kids...?]

If not, work something out with Zeno. Zeno doesn't mind breaking a few rules if it's for a good reason.

[Hopefully these gods are better than whatever ones he might have served before his death, not that he can remember them, nor does he really care to.]

Do you have your own shinki, then?

Yes! Her name is Kaya, she's so cute and sweet!

[Also resilient and kind and understanding and a bunch of more substantial things. But if he boils it down to 'cute and sweet' to start off, that's okay.]

Zeno is also getting a new girl today. Went looking for her only to find you instead.

Maybe I'm your girl. Congratulations, you've found me!

[He's clapping for you, Zeno.]

[He knows you can better than you do, child. Right now, Zeno dearly wishes he could remind Hak of the numerous times he's seen genuine proof of that... this place.]

So you'll wear the uniform, then~? It's a few sizes too small, since Zeno expected a much smaller girl, but it'll do, it'll do!

[He looks down to observe himself, a smile curling both corners of his lips.]

Will it bring out my curves?
