Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[She's embarrassed? But that was such a good punch, delivered with so much force! Yelling while everybody else is training doesn't seem embarrassing to him... but he also went to superhero school so maybe some things are skewed for him.]

You did a good job. Those are the fundamentals of punching.

I can teach you the basics of borderline if we go outside.

[She returned to looking at him.]

[He'll head outside, a few feet away from the entrance so people won't be bothered by them.]

Alright, did you read the brochure?

[Chinatsu follows after him]

Ah, yeah, I did.

[She pulled it out again from her pocket]

Kind of weird that they'd have a brochure in this kind of place.

It's a new thing. They [I.] figured it would be good to have the basics of shinki down somewhere since it's not easy to search it on the internet.

[redmare]

[So they have google in the afterworld?]

Right... so it says--

[She opens it up and reads the sections on borderlines]

Make your fingers into a...halberd? Who wrote this thing?

[What kind of description was that?]

That's the description they were given.

[Admittedly it's not the best description out there, but that means he's getting criticism now. He can fix it tomorrow.

He'll form a loose fist and extend his middle, index and thumb, keeping them all together.]

This is the way your hand should look when you're drawing a borderline. How would you describe it?

Eh? Uhhh...

[She formed her fingers the same way, staring at them for a bit]

I guess...it kinda looks like a salute that some people use?

[She raised her hand, giving him a two-finger salute. Shit, now she feels like some kind of magical girl character]

[He looks at her for a moment.]

Yeah, it does kind of look like something from a magical girl show.

Anyway. You swipe your fingers through the air. [He'll mimic it horizontally.] Think of an ayakashi you want to keep on the other side and say "Line."

[redmare]

[Chinatsu clears her throat.]

Okay---

[She paused for a moment]

Actually I...don't know what ayakashis look like.

They can look like a lot of things. I've seen them look like animals most often. Usually, they have way too many eyes and they feel uncomfortable to be around. Like a bunch of negative emotions in one space.

[redmare]

[Chinatsu cringed at the image]

Seriously..?

[She definitely wanted to keep them on the other side of a wall]

Ugh okay, how do I do it? I just swipe my hand and say 'line', right?

[fullcowl]

Think of the border you want to create and how much you don't want an ayakashi to get close to you. Then you swipe your hand and say 'line'.

[redmare]

[It was kind of hard to picture something she'd never seen. Well, was worth a shot. Holding her hand out in front of her, she swiped right. Or should she have swiped left since it's supposed to be against something she doesn't like?]

L-line..!

[It was kind of weird saying that out loud..]

(ooc: I'm laughing about my own tag AHAHA)

Right, just like that.

... It's harder when there isn't an ayakashi to test on.

[ooc: Do your best Chinatsu!]

Let's go find one then.

[Not that she particularly wanted to see one, but if that meant she'd be able to do it, then of course she'd use that method.]

[ooc: it's not good enough until she actually does it!]

They'll be on the Near Shore.

[Give him a second to pull on some gloves and he'll teleport them down to his local shrine.]

[Oh right, they said something about the near shore and far shore. It was still a lot for her to take in. Seeing it might help, just like with the ayakashi.]

[She wasn't mentally ready for this! ]

[ Oh my god he's gonna drop it! ]

[She continued striking her hand against the air, but nothing was coming of it. She gritted her teeth, feeling more anxious and frustrated. Why wasn't it working?!]
