Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ Hibiki is not paying attention to the practice. Hibiki is not even paying attention to the fact she has just been Shadow Woven. Her focus is completely entranced by the sight of her own beauty in the puddle.

Her captivity to the former comes in handy, however, as she starts to lean over a little too far. The knife tugs on her shadow and she stops, bobbing at an odd angle. She doesn't even notice then. She's...

...she's just too perfect. It's enthralling. ]

[ Hello, Hibiki? Tsubasa stands there and just watches her hang precariously over the puddle in a mixture of amazement and puzzlement. What exactly is she doing, and how is she doing it? ]

Hibiki...-san?

[ The shinki calls out, but realising that she's not going to get a response, squats down and looks up at Hibiki, trying to catch her attention from this angle instead. ]

[priforprince]

[ Hibiki sighs, blissful, content. It is almost a lovestruck sigh.

How close are you to her, Tsubasa...? You might have to get closer. ]

[1wing]

[ It's time to edge a little closer then, until she's right below Hibiki's face, blocking her line of sight. ]

Um...

[priforprince]

[ WHOA WHO PUT THAT GENIUS IN FRONT OF THE OTHER GENIUS ]

Ah!

[ Hibiki pops back to sentience. Her eyes focus. ]

...You?

[ if your strong, yet fleeting heart...is now stirred by revolution...

oh wait, wrong situation ]

[1wing]

Yes, it's me, Kazanari Tsubasa.

[ Genius singer, apparently, and fledgling ninja, also apparently. There's a lot she's still figuring out. ]

It's dangerous here. Everyone's trying to figure out how to fight. You ought to be careful.

[ Careful, or people might stab you in the shadow and not even realise what that means. ]

[priforprince]

[ Hibiki blinks, processing this information, and then smiles. ] And your heart filled with such concern for me you had to speak up? Thank you.

[ She fixes her posture, adjusts her tie. ] There's nothing amiss here.

[ So she takes a step to try to vacate the premises, they being, as Tsubasa'd said, a bit too raucous for her tastes.

And is brought up short. Abruptly. By an inability to move.

What the? ]

[1wing]

[ Mainly because Tsubasa almost hit Hibiki with a deflected throwing knife, but if Hibiki didn't realise what happened, then let's not talk about it. ]

There's no reason to have anyone in unnecessary danger, after all. [ And she's not even lying!

So Tsubasa waits for the straightened Hibiki, fully intending to escort her out of harm's way. Only... Hibiki never takes any first step. She's just standing there, feet glued to the ground. ]

Did something else catch your interest?

[priforprince]

...Queen Tsubasa.

[ Hibiki speaks through her teeth, smiling. It's not Tsubasa's fault, she's sure of it. But seeing as she's unable to, well, properly look around at the moment.... ]

Is anything imprisoning me?

[ Why can't she move. ]

[1wing]

When did I become a queen?

[ Tsubasa asks, bemused. That's certainly not a title she's earned, and she doesn't recall being the descendant of royalty. Not that she would be able to recall any part of her family tree. ]

There's nothing physical... I heard it's possible to trap shinki with a spell if you have their true names, but you're a god, so...

[ Tsubasa circles around Hibiki, wondering. ]

But first I should get this out of the way. It's dangerous.

[ She doesn't usually do well with cleaning up after herself, but a knife sticking out of the ground requires at least that much attention, so she plucks it out, unwittingly dispelling the Shadow Weave.

Regardless of whatever precarious pose Hibiki is holding right now. ]

Expedience is--

[ WHOA SHE'S FALLING

except not, because she manages to turn dropping into a dramatic, leg spread pose, one hand in her bangs

they settle to an arrangement of purple sparkles drifting on the breeze, and her gaze flicks upward

Then she fixes her posture, and adjusts her tie. ] Heh.

[ That appears to have fixed it, Tsubasa. In case you hadn't noticed, dazzled by the incredible talent on display. ]

Haaaa...

[ There's nothing wrong with breaking a fall however you see fit of course. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But was the pose and sparkles really necessary?

Actually, where did the sparkles even come from? Ah, right, Hibiki did transform the karaoke room that one time. She must have powers of that sort.

But still.

But still. ]

Are you alright...?

[ That's all Tsubasa can manage at this point. What in the world could she say about that entire performance? What words would suffice? No, words could never express the bewilderment she's feeling right now. They are truly insufficient. Somebody blow up the moon.

She doesn't even make the connection between the knife now in her hand and Hibiki's loss of balance, so... something-struck she is. ]

It seems you've discovered another talent.

[ Assuming that is your knife. But you're here, and the sight of you with a knife....well, it suits you.

Hibiki turns to Tsubasa with a smile on her face, the sparkles having been a perfectly organic occurrence (no god powers here). There are absolutely no hard feelings about being almost speared with a knife, because geniuses are exempt from the world's rules. ] The beautiful whirlwind, arresting all with enchantment....

[ SHE IS A HELPFUL GOD. THIS IS USEFUL CONTEXT. ]

Absolutely splendid.

Is this one of my skills?

[ Tsubasa's as bewildered as anyone. She has no memory of paralysing people with a knife. But that's because she has no memories of anything, so that's not very helpful.

It's all she can do to rack her brain for general knowledge, not connected to her own life. The things she must have learnt in a school or a dojo somewhere, even if she has no idea who taught her any of it... ]

I must have... had some training in ninjutsu, then.

[ That's right, this is a ninja technique, isn't it? ]

I wonder what kind of life I lived, where singing and fighting both come so naturally to me.

[ She doesn't know, and she's not really supposed to know, and yet she can't help but be a bit curious. ]

[priforprince]

[ Hibiki could give some answers to that. Some. She lacks context for many of them.

But there's a warning pit in her stomach that has nothing to do with the strange energy in the air today, so, as smooth as can be: ] There's no need to worry.

[ This is a smile you can trust. By all means, discover more fascinating aspects of yourself! But you don't need your former life.

Leave investigating that to Hibiki, who will best know how to employ the knowledge. ] Simply shine.

[1wing]

[ It's for the best that Hibiki's good at putting on her facades, and Tsubasa is terrible at seeing through them. Nobody wants Tsubasa's time here cut short by a terrible case of turning into an ayakashi. ]

I suppose there's no point. This is my second chance at life, after all.

[ Who was it that told her that? The pink-haired woman she met at the concert the day of her arrival? Did she ever catch her name? Tsubasa will have to thank her if they ever meet again. ]

A bird needs to be light to fly, after all. A shinki already carries a heavy responsibility, I don't need to take on more for myself.

[ Even though she inevitably will, because she's bad at following through on these things like that. It comes with the territory of living, even if she's already dead. Caring for others, and taking on their burdens.

Tsubasa looks up, raising a hand to shield her eyes from the glare of the sun, but taking in the vastness of the sky before her. ]

I wonder how far we'll go...

[ Hibiki joins her, but doesn't look at the sky. She watches Tsubasa instead. Perfectly splendid. Sharpened yet surprising, guaranteed to entertain. That is Kazanari Tsubasa. That is CelePara. ]

Would you like me to schedule you a concert?

[ She'd been planning on taking things easy until after Obon, when Sparkle Motion had professed an interest in performing. Tanabata's grandeur should have set a bar they couldn't possibly grasp already. Raising that bar still higher almost feels unsporting.

And yet. If her songbird longs to fly....who is she to deny her the heavens? ]

[1wing]

[ Tsubasa certainly doesn't rate herself that highly, as she continues to stumble about trying to figure out what kind of person she is exactly, but for all the differences between the Tsubasas that exist in their minds, they certainly have one major similarity: ]

I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to sing.

[ That'll be her debut, won't it? It should make Tsubasa nervous, but somehow it's the exact opposite. She's excited, certainly, but she's also calm. Like this is the way things should be. ]

Ah, but I'm not the only member of the group, am I? Will the others be okay?

[priforprince]

Not to worry. They've already had their solo debuts.

[ Though, a thought. ]

Unless you'd prefer to share the stage....

[ A team, right away? It could be worth the experiment. Though, she wonders. Kuroyukihime is perfectly respectable, but not Tsubasa. Natsuru shows promise, but is just starting. Working with non-geniuses takes so much more time!

Perhaps the only person in CelePara currently worthy of sharing Tsubasa's spotlight is Hibiki. ]

Is that so?

[ An idol team where everyone starts solo seems rather unorthodox to Tsubasa, but what does she know? She has no memories.

But if she had to choose: ]

I'm not sure I'd know how to handle a stage. It'd be reassuring to have someone by my side.

[ She might not remember anything, but Tsubasa did start as part of a duo in life, and only ever became a solo act because there was no other choice. It certainly feels more natural for her. ]

One wing can't fly anywhere, after all.

Then I'll look forward to flapping in tandem.

[ And since she's a genius....Surely, her judgment can be trusted. Hibiki is at her best in duets when complementing and resonating with others, so: ]

[ And after that, they'll put the team together. Tsubasa deserves to be highlighted. Let the world clamor for the three-person team she will lead! Hibiki intends to prolong her moment of victory as long as possible, the better to enjoy it.

After all, the moment Tsubasa takes the center position in a three-person team, CelePara Talent Agency's reign shall begin. ]
