Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[Goten reaches out, trying to grab the sunglasses with his own hands. He's always seen them on Shizuo's face but he's never really looked at them.]

I think it's cool. Do you have a power or something? I know some shinki do when they turn into something? I wanna met Yona sometime too. Are her other shinki nice?

[ He'll let Goten get the glasses and get a much closer look. They're similar enough that people would think his and Izumo's were the same, but there were enough differences that the lookalikes didn't get them mixed up. ]

We'll probably figure all that later. She and I haven't tested it out, and I haven't met her other shinki to know if they're nice.

[ Well, he has actually. They just didn't know it yet. ]

Ah, and if you ever want to meet her, the temple's there.

[ He'll point at a particular mountain that clearly has some kind of structure at the top of it. The structure being a living quarters that could house a small town, probably. Actually, it probably has. ]

[Goten takes the glasses carefully, looking them over and turning them over in his hands before grinning and putting them on. They're a little big but he laughs all the same.]

How do you see like this? It's dark!

[The concept for sunglasses is lost on him. He's outside most of the time in the sun and very has needed them. Still, for some reason they make him feel cooler. Maybe its because Izumo and Shizuo always wear them?]

When you figure it out, let me know. I wanna know! I bet its awesome.

[But he does look in the direction he points, at the mountain.]

I can fly there easy!

You get used to them.

[ It's the best explanation he has- which is why he wears them indoors as well. You just get used to everything being dimmer and looking a little purple. Which is especially nice when the sun's bright enough to obscure your vision. ]

Ah... Yeah. I'll try to remember to tell you.

[ He doesn't know about awesome, but there are some things you don't argue about with a seven year old. ]

You can fly to most places pretty easily. Usually I take the shortcut and teleport because of how many stairs you have to use otherwise. So it's probably best that you can fly.

If I can figure out that blonde thing and get sunglasses then I'd be like you and Izumo.

[He laughs a bit, taking the sunglasses off and holds them infront of Shizuo's face, waving them from side to side for him to grab.]

Oh, I guess you're right. I haven't found a place I can't fly to yet.

There's other ways to become blond, you know.

[ Ways that aren't potentially dangerous, given the way Goten had turned blond before. Casually and gently taking the sunglasses back as they're waved in front of his face, Shizuo folds up and pockets them again. ]

You can add that as your slogan... The Goten Express, yeah?

There are?

[He's curious now, not that he'd really go through the trouble and he'd have to ask Aymeric and Izumo if he ever really wanted to do it.

But that last comment draws out a HUGE smile! Goten nods quickly.]

YEAH! Anytime you wanna fly, lemme know!

[bartenderizing]

Yeah. It takes a bit of time, but is easy enough to do.

[ Though... Really, Goten might be a little young for that option. ]

Thanks. I'll, uh, keep it in mind.

[ It's not about being afraid- he clearly has no trouble with Goten's flying. Shizuo usually doesn't ask for that kind of thing though. Last time it was a case of Goten being that excited to see Izumo. ]

[sonofson]

Will you? I get the feeling you're gonna forget.

[He glances down at him, patting his head]

We're suppose to be training right? Do you wanna keep doing borderlines?

[bartenderizing]

[ Well. That kinda hurt, like to a stab to what little ego he may have had. Shizuo didn't realize that even Goten had little faith in his memory. ]

I'm not sure what else I could be practicing, at least shinki-wise. What're these spells you've learned?

[sonofson]

[Oh Shizuo, don't take it so much to heart. ]

Uh...the spells, I've only learned three.

[He holds up his fingers as he counts them off, even if Shizuo can't see]

Bind, Silence and Umbra.

[bartenderizing]

[ He takes everything sincerely, though. He can also imagine that Goten's counting the spells off on his hand as well, because that sounds like a thing the boy would do.

The first two he could imagine the effects or reason for. ]

What's the Umbra spell for?

[Stop it. Goten loves you too, dummy.]

Umbra is for hiding. It let's me hide myself and someone else or just someone else. I'm still getting the hang of it but I can do it. I taught Kairi how to do it to.

[Goten rests his arms on Shizuo's head again. Sorry, you're comfortable.]

It makes it so you invisible sorta. But people can still hear you if you talk.

[bartenderizing]

[ Yes, and he can take that sincerely- well, no. It'd be hard to understand, but he wouldn't argue against it. It's kind of what makes Goten's disappointments hit harder than they should. ]

Ah, so you're teaching her these kinds of things too. I thought she was the one teaching you and Izumo everything with this shinki stuff.

[ Though the real question that Shizuo keeps to himself is...

Why did you learn a spell to keep you and someone else hidden?

The reason why he doesn't ask is because it was completely possible that these were just the spells available to learn, and the kid just wanted to be the best at as much as possible. Especially with how concerned he was and related it to keeping someone else around. ]

[sonofson]

She does teach me stuff but I learned that from Yukine. We all sorta show each other stuff. I wanna help you to Shizuo.

[Borderlines, spells, it doesn't matter what. Shizuo is a good friend so Goten wants to help however he can. Even if they've only know each other a little while, that doesn't take away to how important Shizuo already is. He's Izumo's brother in Goten's eyes and no one can really convince him differently.]

[bartenderizing]

I'm sure it'll be figured out eventually. I probably won't ever get as good as any of you.

[ Which he sounds strangely okay and accepting of. Possibly because of how new he was compared to the others. ]

It's good that you're all working together for that kind of improvement. Anything you've taught the Yukine person?

[sonofson]

If you keep practicing you might be. All of use had to practice to get good.

[You do you Shizuo, but Goten thinks you can be great. He won't stop believing in you Shizuo! You can do it!!]

Yukine? Uh-uh. He's amazing. He's been here longer then any of us. I think this place is his home.

[bartenderizing]

Yeah, and you're all gonna keep practicing too.

[ The rest of you can't just stop and wait for him to catch up. What if that never happens? ]

Longer than everyone getting pulled in regularly? Huh.

[sonofson]

I like fighting more then I like shinki stuff. I don't really like doing it at much when I can punch stuff instead..

[It will happen because Goten believe it will! If anything he'll always lead Shizuo a helping hand!]

Yeah, I think so. He's been teaching almost all the shinki.

[bartenderizing]

Yeah. It's easier to stick with what you know. Not that you always should.

[ Man, almost all of them? Shizuo's starting to wonder if he's the only one that hasn't met this Yukine person. ]

Sounds like he's pretty busy, if he's teaching so many people.

[sonofson]

I guess so. You like punching stuff to, huh? Mmm, throwing it I think?

[He giggles a bit, kicking his feet a little but careful enough not to kick Shizuo's face or slam the heels of his feet into his collar bone.]

Yeah but you should learn from him too. Besides, the stronger you get the better you can protect people you care about right?

[bartenderizing]

Actually, I don't like violence or to fight at all. That's just how my body tends to react.

[ Hard to tell with the way they've managed to go, and what happens during their fights. Save for the part about his body acting on its own. That's not a surprise anymore. Just like how it wouldn't be a surprise if Goten did slam his heels into his collarbone and Shizuo didn't notice. That's just how he worked at this point. ]

Yeah. I wouldn't bother learning or training with any of this if I wasn't trying to protect someone. I don't really wanna add to the kid's workload, but I'll think about it.

[sonofson]

You like training don't you?

[Goten gets not wanting the hurt people but fighting is fun. At least to him. He wants to get stronger and training is sort of more of a game then anything]

Mmmm, if you don't ask Yukine, I'll do it for you and I'll teach you everything I learn to, okay? That way you're not missing out!

[bartenderizing]

It kinda makes me uneasy, actually.

[ Then again, if it were a feasible way to be, he'd just bask in the sun all the time and not do much else. So a portion of that could be his 'take it easy' personality. ]

And I don't know how much that'd work. You're at a way more advanced point than me. Either you won't be getting better, or I'll have too much trouble to keep up. Like I said, I'll think about it.

[sonofson]

Why? Is it cause you're scared you're gonna hurt me or Izumo?

[It's a guess anyway. But the last bit makes him frown. He grabs a fist full of Shizuo's hair, tugging lightly on it]

I wanna hang out and train with you. I'm starting to think you don't wanna hang out with me. All that other stuff doesn't matter as long as one of us is getting better and we're having fun.
