[A promising prayer has reached Forrest's ears: an aspiring clothing designer who's about to get her big break needs some help coming up with ideas for an upcoming fashion show. She begged and pleaded to be allowed to showcase her designs, and of course now that she's got her chance, nerves have gotten the better of her and she can't come up with a single thing. So it's Lakshmi and friends to the rescue!]

All right... this is the address. I'm sure if we all work together, we'll be able to help her come up with some good ideas.

[Kairi's pretty excited to go with Forrest on a prayer, but she can also focus... until they get to Mumbai and she's just gawking all around her, imagining that any given clothing store was where he found the saree that he bought her.

But with Hibiki here too, she doesn't doubt things will be... fabulous, to say the least. She promised Roxas when she goes on prayers to help her god friends that she won't let them pressure her into nora'ing so she's keeping a cool head all things considered.]

I can't wait. You said she's pretty young, right? And to be getting a big break... oh she must be so nervous.

Hmh.

[ That isn't a derisive snort, though. More the sound of someone who knows they're up to this task.

Who may be standing at this door with their arms on their hips, projecting confidence personified. ] I'll showcase her creations to the point that fashion shows will be begging for her presence!

[ This offer came at the Perfect time. Perhaps by doing proper godly things, she can increase her standings within the Heavens and make sure something like the past two days never happens again.

Ever. ]

Just remember, this is about her, not us.

[Forrest respects Hibiki's talent and drive, but he knows she can be a bit of a showboat too. There's no harm in giving her designs a proper canvas, but the clothing is what needs to shine. And with that in mind, Forrest knocks on the door to the small apartment.]

Ah... hello? Priya? Priya Mishra?

[There's a brief sound of panicked shuffling from behind the door, and eventually a young woman in her early twenties answers, looking quite frazzled. The apartment itself is nearly covered in fabric swatches and sewing supplies, scattered about haphazardly.]

Yes, hello? I'm afraid I'm very busy today...

Don't worry.

[Kairi pops her head around the side of Forrest's shoulder.]

We're fans of your work, Miss Priya! You don't have to show us any private drawings or anything ahead of your next show - we just wanted to wish you good luck with it!

[It's honest, from Kairi's perspective, as a way to start things off with a perfect stranger.]

[ Ye of little faith. Hasn't Hibiki fostered geniuses across multiple worlds? Hasn't challenging her raised the Idol Ranks of those previously-uninspiring idols, SoLaMi SMiLE, to the rank of Divine Idol? She's got this.

She's also got a lotus, from absolutely nowhere, which she offers to Priya with her most tantalizing smile. Let them in? ] May your creativity warm the hearts of others like the sun itself.

Well... it's as they said.

[Priya, for her part, looks absolutely stunned at the sudden presence of these three friendly strangers.]

I'm not sure I understand, but... does this mean the gods have heard my prayer?

[Forrest nods at that, his smile softening.]

That's right. The goddess Lakshmi has heard your prayer and she's sent us to help you find your inspiration again in time for the show.

[And Priya lights right up.]

Truly? Oh, thank you! Thank you so much! Please, come inside! I'm sorry it's such a mess...

[It's still rather interesting to her how easily some people will let strangers in, but that's the power of the Far Shore at work.

Kairi walks over to put her hand on Priya's shoulder in a comforting gesture.]

It's no problem - you've been hard at work this whole time, right? That kind of thing was really time-sensitive, I bet. Cleaning up afterwards, that's easier. Maybe a cleaner workspace will help you feel inspired too. I can help you make labels for your drawers or boxes of materials, if you'd like.

What sort of inspiration have you been drawing from thus far?

[ Hibiki can't get in character if she doesn't know the intended thematics of the piece, even if production is currently stalled. Forrest and Kairi can handle the details. And she will make them shine.

This certainly is the studio of one with a...free-ranging mind, however. She'll keep to the back of the group until her cue. ]

[Priya smiles brightly at the three of them, letting out a sigh of relief as she gestures for them to come inside.]

That's just the problem, I'm afraid... I can't come up with anything at all. I've always loved the glittery dance numbers in Bollywood movies, but I'm not sure I'm quite up to the task.

[Forrest listens, looking around at the materials she's been dealing with so far. Saris aren't something he's worked with terribly often, but he's confident that with all three of them here, they'll be able to help.]

Well, let's start smaller, then. Is there a particular feeling you'd like to evoke with your designs? That might help you decide on materials, patterns, and colors.

A feeling...? If I had to pick one...

[Her cheeks flush a bit in embarrassment.]

...I'd have to say 'love.'

[Kairi smiles and laughs as she starts cleaning up in generic ways, like stacking similar books and papers.]

Oh but surely you can get narrower than that. You know... in Greek, they have seven words for love.

[She takes a break to count on her fingers.]

[She nods in Priya's direction.]

Pick a kind of love - or maybe your theme can explore each of the different kinds? I know that helped out some friends work through how they felt about one another.

[Izuku and Shouto... but she didn't want to name them since it's still their own new life change to share, not hers.]

[ Her confidence that this will go well was already through the roof, but it's left the atmosphere and is well on its way to shoot into the sun now that she knows the topic. [Priya looks around the room, thinking for a moment. It's still a complete mess, with all sorts of different fabrics of every color of the rainbow-

[All of a sudden, she lights up as Hibiki reaches for her hand. Smiling brightly, she nods back as she gratefully takes it.]

That's it! Love, in every color of the rainbow!

[Forrest smiles too, nodding back at her.]

Good for you, Priya. You barely needed our help with this at all. Your inspiration was right in front of you the whole time.

[Walking over to a stack of fabric swatches, he picks a few up, counting them off.]

Red, for a passionate and sexual love. Orange, for the playful fluttering feeling of new love. Yellow, for the bond between friends. Green, the love for all those who walk upon this earth. Blue, a love for one's own self as deep as the ocean. Indigo, a protective love for children. And violet for a love that has grown and matured over many years.

[Smiling as he looks back at Priya, he lifts them up in order, splaying them out so they look like a rainbow themselves.]

Those sound wonderful to me.

[Not that she's biased or anything. She tried not to look up at Forrest while he was saying all of those things for fear of just blushing into no work at all, but this is a prayer from one of his followers, so she supposes she shouldn't be surprised he's in his element.

Instead, she looks over at Hibiki.]

And a rainbow shines brightly too, doesn't it? After a harrowing storm, you get a beautiful sight like that to remind you things will get better.

[It's the kind of metaphor she thinks Hibiki will appreciate.]

[ Hibiki nods. ] A theme as multifaceted as its content. Truly, a genius's instincts never lie.

[ She doesn't agree to assist just anyone on their prayer. And, really, she would have been perfectly willing to let Forrest take the spotlight here - she's impressed by him as well - except she's already taken Priya by the hand, so some manner of escort appears necessary.

So she leads Priya to Forrest's side, and asks the lady kindly, checking up on her: ] Do you think you can take it from here?

[ Really, though, Forrest, she's impressed. The true mark of prodigious talent is the ability to foster talent in others merely by contact. By rubbing against each other, diamonds are produced.

And diamonds give off that same brilliant, prismatic light. ]

[It's the next day, and Forrest has received another prayer from Priya, hot on the heels of the last one. That afternoon, he invites Kairi and Hibiki to his temple to discuss the matter.]

Priya needs our help again. She's getting overwhelmed with the project, and isn't sure she has enough material to make her outfits really sparkle. It looked like she was fine on fabric, but she needs something extra so that her clothing line will be truly unique. There are lots of things we have access to here on the Far Shore that would be hard for a resident of the Near Shore to obtain, so I was thinking if we could each come up with something, we can send her a care package.

[Well it's not like it's hard to convince Kairi to come over to Forrest's temple, but when she shows up and Hibiki's there, it IS a little curious. Then Priya's name comes up and she nods, listening to the situation. A care package... hmm....]

They don't exactly have a kind of..... duty-free store in the Far Shore that's nothing but the essentials from the Near Shore though, do they? I haven't seen one.

But as for some supplies... what about some cute products from around the world that she can't get in India? It's easy for you two to teleport around, right?

If it's accents she needs, I can provide.

[ Hibiki is surprisingly normal. Without their charge here, her standard level of noble mien will suffice. And, besides, she's taking this seriously.

Seriously enough she's already mentally scanning a list of the various types of fleurage she could provide a job like this. It's Bollywood-style clothing, so that means....

Hibiki takes out her tablet and starts punching things in, shopping online. Internationally. As one does. ]

I was thinking I could bring her some things from right here at the temple. It is dedicated to a goddess of beauty, after all.

[Forrest smiles, looking around.]

I'm sure some fresh lotus blossoms from the garden would look wonderful as accents. And I have some pearls and other bits of jewelry as well.

[She actually asks both of them. She looks over Hibiki's shoulder slightly, while also looking at Forrest and then back to Hibiki and back to Forrest. Wow, gods really can do amazing things.]

If you give her things from inside this temple, they won't like... disappear when they get down to the Near Shore then?

[Her one big concern. Not that they both aren't being genuine in their offers to help.]

There's only one foolproof way to find out.

[ In the cart. In the cart. In the cart. This universe doesn't have the right website located at ando.com, and when Hibiki orders by phone (her preferred method), it doesn't always connect. Shopping is such a hassle.

Hibiki's tablet gives off a little trumpet fanfare as she presses a button. ] Done.

[Forrest still isn't completely up to speed on the many wonders of modern technology.]

For my own part, at least some of what I was intending to provide actually came from the Near Shore to begin with. There were quite a number of offerings to Lakshmi at the temple in Kolhapur, so I thought giving them to one of her followers would be as appropriate a use as any for them.

I think she can have it delivered to Priya's doorstep, actually.

[ Kairi says gesturing to the tablet, and having been looking over Hibiki's shoulder even before the cute sound effect goes off. ]

You really took a shine to Priya, didn't you Hibiki.

[ She can understand Forrest doting on one of his own followers, but Hibiki? She's pleasantly surprised. ]

Do you want to see the shipping list, Forrest? That way you two don't overlap? Then again, maybe you can't have too many supplies when it comes to fashion?

[ He'd know, after all. Of course maybe Hibiki would too. ]

[ Whatever Forrest uses to read the BBS will react...however he has it set up to react: he's been sent a private message by Apollo to his inbox, with the shipping list linked. Not all of these sites are in Japanese, though. Or in the same additional language.

The gist, however, appears to be: decorations and embellishments. Mostly with a prism theme, to bring together the "rainbow", and also to provide the light Kairi had been talking about earlier. There is no rainbow without sunlight. So Apollo shall provide.

Apollo also ordered an enormous purple and gold flower arrangement to be delivered to Priya's dressing room at the venue the day of the show, but forewarned is forearmed. Foreflowered.

[Forrest is equally impressed with modern technology and how easily Hibiki is capable of navigating it. He knows by now how to look things up and communicate over the internet, but something like this is still amazing to him.]

Well, I'll start getting my contributions together. I have some finer fabric she should be able to use, and plenty of jewelry to provide some extra sparkle and shine.

[With a smile, he turns to Kairi.]

Is there anything you'd like to pass along to Priya? I can include it in the package I'm putting together.

Oh but you're both giving her such cool things!

[She rubs at the back of her neck a little.]

I can't possibly compare to two wealthy gods, but uhmm... If you give me a minute or two, I could write out some words of encouragement at least! Maybe I can send her 12 little notes but each one has a month on it and so she can read them one month at a time whenever she's feeling kinda down again. That's not really supplies but...

Hmm. Actually if I go over to Sora's beach at Baldr temple, I could probably find a bunch of seashells to send her too. You know, intact ones. Sometimes those are hard to find, or worse just really expensive to buy from a store.

[ She's not sure that Priya would actually use them on any designs, but as inspiration pieces, maybe. ]

[ Hibiki does not get why anyone would be happy to receive a seashell, but, Kairi's quaintness is rather charming in and of itself. One could even say her pure feelings are the gift, far more than its material value.

Come to think of it, why is Kairi on this particular job with Forrest...? Hibiki's own presence she can understand, but, did Kairi have any modeling or fashion experience.....?

A mystery worth investigation. ]

It's sure to be a show to remember.

[Both the encouraging notes and the seashells. Forrest has always thought they were pretty, at least.]

[She's hesitating to do any sort of PDA in front of Hibiki merely out of a sense of propriety, but... she still can't help walking up and looking him in the eyes as she gets ready to leave, even if she's thinking she'll return.]

I'm sure Hibiki's contributions will be there tomorrow night if not today.

[And she chuckles a bit at that.]
