[ Open-ish ]
Who: Yona and castmates/adjacent CR
When: The days after the Age-Swap Event
Where: Yona's Temple
What: Catch-all to deal with fallout from the new arrivals and things discovered during the age swap event. Also probably a picnic.
[ The day after time is restored to normal, Yona sticks close to her temple, mind still reeling from what she had learned and the hectic events of the past few days. Between the arrival of her two newest shinki and some of the conversations she'd had with companions over the past few days, taking some time to process it seems the wisest of ideas.
But even though she doesn't venture far from her own temple, it doesn't mean she doesn't welcome anyone who stops by for a visit, clearly happy to greet anyone who stops by. Especially if they are people she needed to talk with anyway.
As for those staying in her temple, she does her best to make sure they get settled and comfortable, answering any questions she can to try and make this new arrangement as smooth as possible. And if there's a sudden resurgence of bad dreams in the aftermath of one particular shinki coming back to live in this place with her... well. She does her best to hide the evidence of it. ]

[It is good to know that some things even this world, with its... eccentric ways of treating people, cannot change so readily. The Princess, of course, deserves no less from her servants and it would be really nice if he could actually share as much with Jae-Ha. Okay, perhaps it is not all that good.]
She truly is. She--
[Kija hesitates. At this juncture, it would probably be wise to introduce himself. Now, how exactly should he put this? There has to be some way - some safe way - to explain some of this, surely? He wonders how much Jae-Ha knows of himself; hastily, he covers his right hand with his entirely unremarkable left. What if he sees it, and he realizes how much they must share?
[He can, he supposes, at least speak of himself.]
She is my master too, in our own world - the Princess and I, I mean, we come from the same... place. I suppose that makes you and I alike. In some way.
[Was that safe?
[Seriously, was that safe? Please let that much be all right, at least.]

You knew each other before coming to the Far Shore. Interesting.
[He folds his arms across his chest, looking Kija over a bit more thoroughly, his gaze lingering where the other man is covering his right hand with his left before it moves back up to his face.]
So we both serve her in our own ways.
[It seems to be safe. For now.]

[Whoops. No, he did not miss that glance. Anything to stop Jae-Ha from thinking too hard about this.]
This place frequently does such things, to friends as well as to strangers. I am not sure it betrays much more than a lack of imagination.
[How on Earth are they supposed to work around this? Jae-Ha could hardly have been unaware of the fact that ordinary men did not have limbs like his, or that meeting another man with a similar affliction might prove suggestive. Clearly more desperate measures are called for. Standing with one's hands behind one's back is completely ordinary and certainly could be entirely natural, thank you, nothing to see here, kindly look elsewhere.]
Nevertheless, I am glad to make your acquaintance.
no subject
[He's a fantastic acquaintance to make. He smiles gamely before narrowing his eyes, canting his head as he notes that Kija has shifted his stance again.]
What are you hiding back there, hmm?
no subject
[Oh, no. He has not missed the - the downward trend to Jae-Ha's glance, and he turns, all the better to look at his brother straight on. Anyone can stand with their hands behind thrir backs if they like.]
Nothing! It - is not important.
[It is extremely important.
[And Kija is a terrible liar.]
no subject
Jae-Ha raises an eyebrow, questioning.]
Well, which is it? 'Nothing' or 'not important?' If it were nothing, its importance would be irrelevant.
no subject
[Did that sound any more convincing?
[Yes, well he might sound flustered. Nothing in Kija's life could have prepared him for this. How dare this place force him to such a pass - to hiding from his own brother, to pretending shame over what had never been anything but a point of pride?]
I hurt my hand!
no subject
I see.
[For now, he relents, a smirk tugging at one corner of his mouth. Whatever Kija is hiding, no doubt he'll slip sooner rather than later, especially if he's this flustered. It's just a matter of waiting.]
Maybe you should get that looked at, then. I'm no doctor, but I know a little something about patching up-- though I prefer to play medic to cute girls.
no subject
[Is it all right to back away?
[Maybe he should just back away and - and try again later. Or something. Perhaps Jae-Ha will have forgotten this conversation, though what chance his memories will become so conveniently clouded, when this wretched place has left him little enough to recall?]
Anyway, I have bandages.
no subject
If you insist. You're quite defensive, has anyone ever told you that? Awfully suspicious behavior. You might want to bring it down a notch.
[As if he's in any position to lecture anyone on dramatics.]

[So thank you for noticing, Kija.]
You just seem awfully flustered over an injury, that's all.

[He wasn't. He'd been prying, and he knows it. He can't help being nosy.]
My mistake.
