Who: Yona and castmates/adjacent CR
When: The days after the Age-Swap Event
Where: Yona's Temple
What: Catch-all to deal with fallout from the new arrivals and things discovered during the age swap event. Also probably a picnic.

[ The day after time is restored to normal, Yona sticks close to her temple, mind still reeling from what she had learned and the hectic events of the past few days. Between the arrival of her two newest shinki and some of the conversations she'd had with companions over the past few days, taking some time to process it seems the wisest of ideas.

But even though she doesn't venture far from her own temple, it doesn't mean she doesn't welcome anyone who stops by for a visit, clearly happy to greet anyone who stops by. Especially if they are people she needed to talk with anyway.

As for those staying in her temple, she does her best to make sure they get settled and comfortable, answering any questions she can to try and make this new arrangement as smooth as possible. And if there's a sudden resurgence of bad dreams in the aftermath of one particular shinki coming back to live in this place with her... well. She does her best to hide the evidence of it. ]

[He holds up a hand at Kaya.]

Say no more. The lion-headed boy, right?

[He knows the exact one she's talking about. You could spot that head of hair from this temple while he wanders the streets of the city.]

[She giggles.] Ah, that's a new one but it's true! It does fit him! I say he's sunflower-haired but he'd probably like that one better.

Although Yona is the one who has a red mane. We both have plain hair next to those two.

Nothing wrong with plain hair. It's easier for people like us to blend in. They stick out in a crowd with theirs.

[A beat.]

It's always messy, too.

[Can he go five minutes in a conversation poking fun at them? No, probably not.]

You think so? [She plays along with a lock of her dark brown fringe, twisting it with her fingers.] You have a point, and Zeno seems to like my hair as it is. Yours suit you as well, very straightforward and strong.

Heh! But she still looks super cute with messy hair, don't you think? Both gods are! Meanwhile your other new shinki, Jae-Ha, has flashy green hair like seaweed but it's all pretty and straight and tidy.

[It starts out as a snort, and then turns into a snicker, and ends up in a full blown fit of laughter at her last comparison.]

Seaweed...! [He strains the word out between breaths.] I was thinking droopy eyes was a good nickname for him, but that one's not bad.

[This girl. Hak likes her.]

That's kind of mean. Seaweed green is a pretty color. His eyes are cute regardless of the shape, too!

[Even if she says that in a bit of a scolding tone, her expression is amused.]

Just don't make him feel like he's being teased that much. You three have to get along, right?

He's an old enough man that he can handle a little bit of teasing.

[His teasing is relentless and will continue to be so until Jae-Ha gives him a reason not to. Which doesn't look to be happening anytime soon. He grins down at her, hopefully making it clear enough that he's teasing and waves his hand in a vague gesture.]

Don't worry. We get along just fine when he isn't talking.

If he's alright with it! I just hope he doesn't dislike me because I came up with it. We were getting along well until now.

I'm glad you do! Yona got really wonderful boys as shinki and friends.

I'll keep it our little secret.

[And by that he means he will gladly take credit for that great nickname if Kaya doesn't want it. They can split the royalties or something. Although his smile falls away at the mention of 'friends', because that's far from the image he sees in this whole arrangement, and he echoes the word out loud as a question seeking confirmation.]

Friends...?

Heh, thank you.

Well... I know we shinki are like some sort of weapons and stuff, but Yona doesn't strike me as the kind of god who'd think of hers as tools or servants. I get the feeling she'd be one who'd rather befriend you guys as you get to know each other. Maybe because Zeno's that kind of person, I assume Yona is as well.

No.

[His voice falls flat again because he is one hundred percent serious.]

Yona makes me work tirelessly day and night. Tending the horses, picking the fruit, sweeping the halls and making her bed...

[Cinderelly, Cinderelly, night and day it's Cinderelly...]

[That doesn't sound like Kaya's image of Yona at all, but she has no reason to distrust this good boy's words either. The tone is so serious!]

..........Oh. Do you want me to talk to her?

[Yes, Hak is a good boy. Please save him, Kaya. He puts on an innocent stare, pretending to mull over his answer for a little while.]

Would that anger her? I don't want to be disciplined again.

[snrk]

[To be what now? The girl looks like she's in the verge of tears, extremely concerned about this turn of events.]

Oh dear, oh no. I-I'm so... Should we... should we tell Zeno to talk to her, then? She's going to listen to him, I hope?

[Oh boy, is he making her cry? Well, he can't turn back now. It's full steam ahead!]

Mmmm, we should get Zeno to talk to her... She might not discipline him. Could you ask him for me?

[How did it even come this far? How is this hole he's dug so deep? Will he be able to get out of it should Yona catch wind of it? Will she catch wind of it? Questions he will perhaps never know the answers to. Bless your pure soul, Kaya...]

I-I will! I'll tell him to be careful, too!

[With luck, Zeno's reaction will be humorous and he'll inform Kaya that Hak is a jokester with a curious sense of humor before she messes up and mentions it to Yona.

Let's hope.

In the meantime, Kaya needs to cheer Hak up. What do boys like? Zeno likes food. Hak is eating fruit, so he must like food as well.]

Ah, here! Let me give you a piece of the cake I brought! It's really good!

Oh? Cake?

[Wow, he even gets food out of this, too! Although he does admittedly feel a little bad about taking advantage of the poor girl's gullibility, so he holds up a hand to her to stop her. He has to draw the line somewhere, and if it isn't going to be at tricking everyone that Yona is a monster, then it's here.

He at least wants to see the look on Yona's face when all of this goes down. That's worth more than any slice of cake in the world.]

I'm afraid I'll have to pass. My stomach hasn't been agreeing with me lately.

[Because the food Yona feeds him is awful? Because she's a terrible cook? Because he doesn't eat at all? He's tempted, but nah.]

I'm sure Yona would appreciate it if you left some slices for later, though.

[For him, not for her.]

[He's such a good person if he wants to give his cake to the person he's scared of. She smiles with kindness.]

Of course! Ah, I'd offer a sandwich but I'm not sure if bread is bad for the stomach. Maybe some tea? I do know apples are good, at least the red ones! So the fruit you're eating is probably a nice choice.

I think I'll stick with the apple.

[He takes a pointed bite of the fruit and bows his head in thanks.]

I wouldn't say no to a decent cup of tea, though. Will you make it for me?

Yup, sure! Do you prefer ginger tea or chamomile?

[He considers his answer for a while because they both sound delicious, but...]

Which is easier for you to make?

Both are equally easy. They sell the herbs already cut very well, inside this tiny bag. You just have to boil the water.

[How tempting it is to tease her further, but she's been a kind soul to him despite his jokes... that she doesn't know are jokes (bless her). So, rather than push it further, he smiles down at Kaya, warm and genuine this time, and rolls his shoulders in a shrug.]

Surprise me.

I'll go check and be right back! Hold on for a few minutes, okay?

[She goes to check if there's any of the two teas in the temple.]
