Who: Yona and castmates/adjacent CR
When: The days after the Age-Swap Event
Where: Yona's Temple
What: Catch-all to deal with fallout from the new arrivals and things discovered during the age swap event. Also probably a picnic.

[ The day after time is restored to normal, Yona sticks close to her temple, mind still reeling from what she had learned and the hectic events of the past few days. Between the arrival of her two newest shinki and some of the conversations she'd had with companions over the past few days, taking some time to process it seems the wisest of ideas.

But even though she doesn't venture far from her own temple, it doesn't mean she doesn't welcome anyone who stops by for a visit, clearly happy to greet anyone who stops by. Especially if they are people she needed to talk with anyway.

As for those staying in her temple, she does her best to make sure they get settled and comfortable, answering any questions she can to try and make this new arrangement as smooth as possible. And if there's a sudden resurgence of bad dreams in the aftermath of one particular shinki coming back to live in this place with her... well. She does her best to hide the evidence of it. ]

[ Well. Someone around here needed to have an excess of it. That balances out the doof with none. ]

... Yeah. I really don't get where you're getting that from.

[Come on, Shizuo, loosen up a little.]

[ He is loosened up. This is somehow him at a pretty relaxed state right now. ]

Sure. Give it a try sometime. It may surprise you.

[Just a hunch, since Shizuo doesn't seem to think much of it.]

[ He doesn't think much about confidence in general. He's been stuck in his default, despite not having the memories to back it up. ]

'A try'... At what, the positive thinking or the confidence?

Go crazy. Give both a shot.

[He knows, it sounds way out there for a guy like him, right?]

Might do you some good. Help you shake the long face.

... What long face?

[ And there stirs up the temper a bit. Luckily it's just in his tone, and he's not acting on it or threatening the guy. ]

[He quickly puts both hands up in defense, shaking his head.]

Ah, I've said too much.

Yeah, well you've said it. Either explain it or I'll toss you off the mountain.

[ Ah. There's the threat. ]

You just seem to lead a dreadfully joyless existence, that's all. You seem like you could afford to loosen up.

[Really, does that merit him being thrown off the mountain?]

What the hell makes you think it's joyless?

[ He's very content and happy when he's out basking in the sun. He's lazy whenever he gets the chance- but Jae-Ha's rarely ever seen that because Shizuo's always on guard, to make sure he doesn't push the boundaries too far with Yona.

But it depends on how the next minute goes as to whether or not this merits a toss. ]

I don't even get what you think I need to loosen up from.

Maybe 'joyless' is too strong a word, but there's all the sour looks to be considered.

[He continues on flippantly, unbothered by threat itself, but it's plain enough that it's not meant as an insult so much as an observation.]

Feel free to prove me wrong. What do you do for fun around here?

[ He's got Resting Angry Face, where it can look like he's brooding when it's him relaxing.

It seems that he has a bit of trouble admitting what he enjoys, if only for the awareness of how it can sound to others. ]

... Relax out in the sun, or go out for milkshakes.

[He smiles, and it's more genuine than those that came before it.]

Both worthy endeavors. [He thinks. Actually:] What's a milkshake?

[ ... Oh, right. He took Yona to the Near Shore for that. ]

It's a drink made with vanilla, ice cream and milk. Before you ask- it's partially frozen, and it's better to try ice cream than ask what it is.

Ah. Interesting.

[His smile pulls a bit wider, into a full-blown smirk.]

I sense you've lost patience for further questions.

[Jae-Ha, he didn't have much patience for you to begin with.]

I've been through this line of questions before.

[ Almost. He introduced Yona to ice cream before the more advanced milkshake.

Also, he'd argue that he was being more patient than usual. You should be grateful for small wonders like this. ]

There's also a bunch of different flavors. More than enough that I'm not listing past the basic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.

Does that mean you had to introduce our goddess to these marvels as well?

[He assumes so.]

I assume she was quite taken with them. She seems the type.

Yeah. They're some of her favorite things from the modern things she's tried. I was thinking of taking her to a boba place next.

[ ... Oh, right. Jae-Ha wouldn't know what that was either. ]

It's a kind of iced tea that has tapioca pearls in it.

So many fascinating things in this world. I'd like to try them, myself.

[He's having trouble envisioning what boba actually is, but it sounds interesting.]

Do you have any other recommendations?

Ah... Well there's a lot if you just walk through a city that's pretty good, but you'd probably get overwhelmed.

[ So he wasn't really sure on where to start. ]

Have you had mochi before...?

[He shakes his head, intrigued.]

What is it?

Pounded rice.

[ At the center of all of it, that's really what the stuff is. ]

You use it in snacks and treats, like mochi ice cream.

[ ... Of course it went back to ice cream. Though probably appropriate, given that it's actually summer? ]

[Like the other things he'd mentioned, it sounds exceptionally intriguing.]

More 'iced cream.' [Hmm.] Perhaps a trip to the Near Shore will be in order soon.

... Ice cream is kind of a favorite, yeah.

[ The question is, would it be easier to unleash them on the Near Shore to try these things, or to bring it all back to the temple?

... Both seem like a lot of work. ]
