Dave(sprite)
Odin
Damn, so we're both lost on the matter of actually knowing what the fuck this place is, which is kind of gonna put a damper on finding the sweetest treasure trove of important landmarks that would make any self-respecting movie archaeologist cry for a week. I'm not really getting the impression anybody knows what the fuck is going on right now, so at this rate we've got about as much chance of stumbling over someone who does as we do stumbling over one of those landmarks.
[On one hand, if this guy can actually sense auras of landmark power, that's pretty cool. On the other, Dave isn't actually sure whether that's legit or just more backing up of the ramble competition they seem to be having here.]
no subject
I suppose that does put a damper on overwhelming this aura with sheer, overwhelming and undeniable power. A more clever hand and a far more subtle tactic would be needed, if only you words were not true. The nature of this hex is beyond my senses and I am unsure of my potential at divination to even attempt to gleam the truth through such means. Mayhaps you know of a seer, a soothsayer or enchanter of great awareness?
[Odin doesn't even know he can magically bash this thing away. Of course he's going to need actual powerful backing beyond the levels of shinki and gods to try and that's just a pipe dream.]
no subject
[Which is kind of shit, because now he'd really like to know if he actually knew any people like that at any point. And also if there's anything he should be remembering, given he's drawing blanks on anything earlier than when this timefuck commenced.]
no subject
Fear not! For even if our enemy is beyond comprehension and our resources limited, we have the power burning within us. The darkness that swirls forth and engulfs all that stands in it's way. Even despair or defeat. I know it will guide me and when the time is right it will savage the very tapestry of powers against us.
[That's not really how it works. That's not how anything works.]
no subject
Right, yeah, the only tapestry of powers I'm feeling right now is the one where time is so contorted it might as well be up its own ass, but if I find anything else I'll let you know so you can swirl forth that darkness, oh lord of edges.

[Owain gives a flourish of that cape and a bow before moving on in search of... even he can't be sure but he's sure he'll find it.]
no subject
Forrest
Alright, that's kind of a start, do you remember anything about any of them other than the pimp shack you came from.
[This should not be his first thought when it comes to the matter of a golden temple or when speaking to a kid, and yet.]
Re: Forrest
[Thankfully, he doesn't know what pimp shack means in the first place.]
no subject
[So that's helpful. He crouches down to go on anyway.] Sitting around here isn't going to get you back there any quicker.
no subject
[He tentatively reaches out with his small hand.]
no subject
Sure. Shout if you see something that looks any kind of familiar.
Kairi
That's why I said us and the nearest person. As in, both of us. The dynamic duo of flower crown wearer and non-flower crown wearer remembered by only the finest of history books.
[He had a point here somewhere, but he lost it, so time to pull another one out of thin air.]
We're like flower crown model and flower crown designer, you and I. This is the start of some shit that's gonna take the Heavens by storm.
Re: Kairi
[He did say 'us' didn't he? Darn, she frowns for making a mistake, but at least he's not too upset about it, from what she can tell. Her hands fidget a bit in front of her before she tries to clarify another point.]
I thought a crown made you a King or a Prince?
no subject
[That does beg the question of who actually is in charge here, though, and Dave is kind of wondering about that now in a brief divergence from the flower crown thing.]
You haven't seen anyone with a real dead giveaway large-and-in-charge look going on, right.
1/2
Hmm...
[Large and in charge...]
2/2
OH! YEAH I KNOW!
[She raises her hand like she's in school.]
Her name's Hibiki!
no subject
Okay, so, what does she actually look like, and did she have any idea what was going on.
[Actual serious questions, for once, mostly because he doesn't know enough about the person they're talking about to craft proper unserious ones. Real comedy needs to be done with knowledge of the person or thing he's slinging shit about.]
no subject
[That could be so many people though.]
And her hair is curly... and...
[She's trying to process the second part of his question, but unsuccessfully.]

Hiyoko
I'm fervently hoping you keep that naming sense to this day, because there are a veritable fuckload of things that oculd be radically improved by naming it something like that.
[He is also not sorry for enjoying the majestic shittiness-yet-perfectness of the name.]
Are we talking people who've pulled shit like this before, because if we are then you're gonna have to fill me in on what I've missed.
Re: Hiyoko
[She declares that firmly. And with a little salute. For... some reason.]
And normally the Xerox Banditos' M.O. is to plaster all these 'down with heaven' fliers everywhere and then light something on fire and somehow leave no evidence at all. Something like this would be a real departure.
no subject
Go forth and fuck those loads, soldier.
[That...could have been worded better, but moving on to the issue of people throwing trash fliers and setting things on fire.]
So they set up some tacky kindling, light it up and then leave. Sounds like some classy villain shit right there, but also sounds like they wouldn't have the juice for fucking with time.
no subject
Yeah, they're a mess of cliche Snidely Whiplash nonsense. If they could mess with time, everything would be on fire right now. This has to be somebirdie else.
[A sigh.]
Not that I have any other suspects.
no subject
[Fourth walls, what are those. But the point of it being highly unlikely that people like that would've done something like this still stands.
It kind of sucks that there's no other suspects, though, and Dave even has to kind of deadpan stare at her for a moment.]
So you're saying the only villains we have around here so far are comic relief-tier chumplords.
