Maybe she is. Where were you when you woke up this morning?

I'm staying near the school today in case -- anyone I know comes looking for me, because this is where I was when I woke up.

[And it's already worked with several people who knew him under another name. The hesitation, though, was because the one person he really wants to see hasn't appeared yet, and no one seems to know the first thing about her.

He's genuinely starting to wonder if she's a shinki, lost and confused somewhere. Maybe if he leaves a note on the front door, and goes looking....]

In a temple. Or at least that was what one of the people there said it was. It looked like a big hill. [Shun still looks a little doubtful about the whole temple thing, because it certainly didn't seem like what a temple should look like, but he doesn't know what else it would have been.

In that unfortunate child-like way of noticing things they really shouldn't, though, Shun's eyes widen a little at the next remark.]

Are you looking for someone too? ["Anyone I know" is vague, but they were talking about forgetting, so wouldn't people they remember be important people to them?]

Maybe she'll look for you there, then. You should put up a sign telling her to wait, and then go back every once in a while.

[It's a good strategy! At least, it's as good a strategy as he can think of, with all of the confusion and so many people here having lost their recent -- or all -- of their memories.

He hesitates to answer Shun's next question, but he lets out a breath, after a few seconds, and smiles uneasily.]

Yes, I am. My wife.

I stayed there for a little bit this morning and I didn't see her...but maybe it would be a good thing to do.

[This appears to be another matter of serious thought for him, because while he does want to explore more and actively look for her, it would probably be a good idea to have some kind of base to work from so he's not just all over the place and unable to be found.

This guy seems like he's a bit worried as well, though, and Shun smiles reassuringly once he gets to admitting he's looking for someone as well.]

I hope you find her too. Do you want me to help you look?

I don't want to take you away from looking for your sister, but if you see her -- she's about this tall [he marks a height just taller than his shoulder with his hand] with long brown hair and green eyes. Her name is Kanan.

Tell her to come find me here?

[It can't hurt. He doesn't know how likely it is that she's out looking for him, but -- it can't hurt to have more people helping him search. He smiles, still visibly uneasy.]

I can look for them both at once. I just have to know what they both look like, right? [Childlike optimism happening right there. He nods firmly at the information he's given on the woman to look out for.]

Okay, definitely. [This guy still looks worried, though, and Shun gives what he hopes is a reassuring smile and reaches over with the intent of patting his hand.]

It'll be fine. We'll both find who we're looking for. [When you stop hoping for it, it's almost like you've given up already.]

[Gonou smiles at the boy, and lets Shun pat his hand. He's not at all sure that's true -- he's not sure any of that is true -- but he desperately wants to hope it is too.]

I'm sure we will.

[Once he gets that answer, Shun grins back and withdraws his hand, looking around at the library.]

Do you need any more help, or should I go back to looking?

I think that's all I needed to do in here! [He'll just pull himself together, here, and smile more confidently at the boy.]
