But that isn't 'extra stuff' to ponies. It's just different kinds of ponies. And the ponies who think their own kind are better than the others are making a very sad mistake.

Um...I guess in my world, we only have the one kind of pony, then? I've only seen ones with wings and horns in picture books or on cards and stuff.

[The concept of other worlds is a weird one to think about for a kid his age, but he is in some kind of unfamiliar place talking to a horse with a rainbow mane.]

That's really very sad, honestly. But our world doesn't have humans at all, so I guess it all has to work out in the end somehow!

I guess. All the worlds can't be the same, or it wouldn't be very interesting. [Shun nods sagely, as if the multiverse definitely took that very simple factor into consideration when creating itself.]

I honestly never really thought about how many different worlds there must be before now. It's so fascinating!

Neither did I, but if there's cool ponies like you here, then there must be lots of other cool stuff too, right?

[Logic. Beings like Celestia didn't exist outside of cards in his world, so to him that's a sign there must be a lot more out there.]

[Celestia had to giggle at that.] I'm not a cool pony. I'm kind of a dork. But thank you anyway!

You can be cool and a dork at the same time. There's nothing wrong with that. [Shun nods confidently. He's a bit like that too, after all.]

You should tell my sister that. I think she'd have a thing or two to say on that subject. [Celestia knows perfectly well she isn't a cool big sister to Luna.]

She's the one you thought pranked you, right? Is she a cool pony too? [If Celestia looks like this, surely her sister would have to look impressive too.]

[Celestia looks around carefully, then leans in as she drops her voice to a hush.] You can't EVER tell her I said so, but she's really really cool.

Well, I dunno if I'll ever meet her, so I might not ever be able to tell her anyway. [Logic. Probably. Shun still isn't too sure how this whole situation is working right now.] What's her mane like? Is it rainbow too?

Well I have to be careful anyway. [Because it would be just her luck! To have somepony tell Luna that Celestia thought she was cool, and then Celestia would never hear the end of it!]

Her man is darker. More like... mmm, the night sky! Or maybe just at the end of twilight when it's almost entirely dark, but not quite all the way.

[Any remark Shun would have made on the point of Celestia being careful is gently wiped away by dawning awe at that description of the mane. With Celestia's looking how it does, he's very definitely imagining this one with stars and all.]

That sounds really amazing. I wish I could meet her now...

You'd like her. [Everypony likes Luna. Celestia is proud to have such a cool and popular sister!]

Well, I like you, so if she's like you then I'd like her. [He'd also probably like her even if she wasn't like Celestia, but as far as he's concerned, Celestia is pretty cool too.]

She's a lot more energetic and cool than I am. You'd probably forget I existed if you met her. [But Celestia says this without jealousy, proud to have a little sister who's so neat and likable.]

It'd be really hard to forget you existed. I mean, you have rainbow hair and everything. [It's...pretty straightforward logic, but he's probably not wrong, strictly speaking. And Celestia doesn't actually seem upset, either, which is good.]

My sister's mane is more like the night sky, so it is probably more impressive.

I think they're both impressive. Rainbows are cool too. [There's an almost defiant firmness to that statement, as if Shun's daring anyone to tell him a boy can't like rainbows (especially if his little sister does).]

They're actually pretty hard to make, or so I hear from the pegasi. Getting the colors just right takes a lot of effort.

[revolutionfalcon]

[Shun looks rather curious at the thought of flying ponies making rainbows.] What do they make them out of? If the colours run, then it'd definitely be really hard to get them right.

If I knew that, I'd be a rainbow-maker. [Celestia can't help but grin at her little joke.] It's a trade secret!

But you make a rainbow wherever you go. [It's obviously not really a serious argument, but Shun points out her mane like it's an answer nonetheless.]

Oh, well, not quite. Rainbows have more than three colors, after all! But I'm glad you like my mane nonetheless.
