[Flowers, huh? While Shun isn't sure all the flowers in his garden are the kinds of things people would want to receive in a crown, he does know there were some there, so he crouches down with an optimistic look.]

There's actually a lot of flowers in the garden near where I woke up. There's some vultures hanging around there too, but they seemed to be pretty calm around me, so I don't think we'd have any problems picking some.

[Presumably it's not some kind of off-limits garden if the vultures weren't actually doing anything to defend it.]

[Kairi squeals in excitement.]

Really?! Can you show me?

[She's never even heard of vultures, but his voice is calm and didn't indicate danger, so she's feeling pretty good about this so far.]

[Well, he did make the offer, but he waves a hand a bit to try and calm her down before he answers.]

I can, but you'll have to promise not to be so loud around them. They startle easily, and they'll do bad things if they're startled.

[While he's trying not to be incredibly grave about it, there's definitely still a certain weight to his words.]

[She nods and covers her hands with her mouth to show she understands.]

I can be quiet. Promise.

[And she even says that in a whisper.]

[Well, she seems sincere enough. Still, he might keep her a bit back from the garden at first to make sure she's not going to abruptly squeal or something.]

Then it's back this way. We'll have to walk a little. [Not far, but it's also not as if they're right in front of his temple.]

[She holds tight to his hand and uses a squeeze there in place of her normal predisposition to squeak excitedly.]

Okay.

[It's a very quiet whisper, more mouthing the sounds than actually speaking. She's trying to not even smile, as if that would shock whatever it is she's trying to not startle.]

[As Shun already said, it's a bit of a walk before they get there, but not a long one. Before too much time has passed, they approach a large, grassy hill with doors and windows set into the base, and off to one side is a rectangle of trees and tangled bushes that block off visibility to whatever's inside.

There are, however, a few metre-large birds perched on the tree branches, some of them eying the two of them off as they approach. Shun lowers his voice a bit as well.]

This is it - just make sure you don't startle the birds. I think you'll be okay since you're with me, but let's not risk it, alright?

[She squeezes his hand because the birds do look rather scary for being as big as she is, with their wings folded.]

Wow...

[She only dares to whisper about it.]

Why are they here?

I think they live here, but I don't know much about this place either. They haven't bothered me at all.

[So he doesn't have that much of an idea what's going on, apart from that they're probably his since the "god" he's supposed to be is sometimes a vulture. But that seems a bit much to put on Kairi to figure out.

To make sure they don't come up too suddenly, he walks them towards the garden entrance at a slightly slower pace.]

[She nods at his assessment, dutifully not breaking hold of her hand in his.]

It's their home and they like quiet.

[That makes sense to her, since someone barging into her front living room would have also upset her as much as - she supposes - walking through the garden would upset the birds.]

Nice birdies.

[The vultures do eye them off a bit as they enter the garden, but none of them move to do anything untoward. Beyond the wall of hedge and trees, the enclosed space within is surrounded by various kinds of flowers - roses, lilies, crysanthemums and others - down to tiny ones growing out from between the stones of the path. There's also two shallow pools that stretch down the garden's length, shimmering in the sun.]

It's the kind of home it doesn't feel right to be too loud in, anyway. Don't you think?

[Kairi tries to walk closer towards the shallow pools, if her guide will let her. She likes the way the garden looks in the water's reflection.]

Yes. I like it here.

[This sort of guided tour through a garden does make the young girl feel very at-home, after all.]

Can I come back tomorrow too?

[Shun doesn't stop her, though he does follow after her. They might be shallow, but they could still cause problems if she fell in or something.

If Shun was his normal self right now, he'd definitely refuse that request, but as it is, he thinks on it with a small frown. He'd like to say yes, but he's unsure of what's going on here himself, honestly.]

...It seems like there's a lot going on, so maybe we should see what happens tomorrow first. If nothing changes, then you can come back.

[She's not entirely sure what all that Shun said, just that she'd be allowed to come back - under certain circumstances, sure, but she still heard a yes in there.

So she smiles at him and then lets go of his hand to walk towards the exit of his temple that she came into.]

Thank you very much! I had fun.

[And she does hope she can come back.]

That's good to hear. [It really is - with things as confusing as they seem to be in this place right now, at least he let one kid enjoy herself. There was no telling what tomorrow would bring, but for now, it seems okay to him.

He waves to her as she leaves, remaining in the garden for the moment himself. He should probably familiarise himself with the vultures a bit more.]
