Open~ Senri is not good coping with change
Who: Senri and open
When: Several days after the bitty event
Where: A park on the near shore
What: Memories don't work the way he thinks they do. Unfortunately, he's not equipped to deal with that revelation at all.
[Senri has been avoiding the temple of Artemis ever since things got back to normal. He's been essentially living in a park for the last couple of days. Most of that time is spent sitting near a tree and paging through his book. Over and over again.
He's not finding what he's looking for though. The kindly Grandmother with her cookies, the sparkling girl with all the colors, the boy with the glasses.... There's too many people that he met, that he remembers, that aren't in the book.
But that can't be right. Memories don't work like that. The book is where his memories are, so... so what happened? And even the memories of the people who are in here are... strange. Because he remembers... being different when he was small. But....none of it makes sense. And the more he tries to figure it out, the more agitated he gets. And the bear in his head gets more and more restless. But he still has the eye patch. And that still works the way it's supposed to. At least, he hopes so... Either way, he's not going home until he figures this out.
He may actually never go home at this rate.]

People watching became a new hobbt. Well, she says new, but she doesn't recall what her old ones were. Everything was new now. Not being seen nade everyone else more visible to her. The things they talked about, the expressions on their faces, the people they hung out with; Chinatsu used all of these to try and put togethere their stories. Maybe it had to do with her not being able to figure out her own, but Chinatsu wasn't into reflecting that much about herself.
She's strolling by the park this time. It's not very busy here, and that makes a certain person stand out even more. She walks over to him, looking him over while he reads. Now then, what's this guy's story?
Huh, not everyday you see someone brave enough to wear an eyepatch. Delinquent? Nah, don't usually see those reading a book. Also, aren't you kinda huge? Foreigner maybe?
[She squats down in fron of him, peering at his book]
What're you reading..?
no subject
But if the book isn't working, what's the point? The only thing he can think of to do is quietly correct her. He shakes his head.]
No...
[He wasn't reading. He can't read. But a closer look at the book will reveal a number of small objects pressed between its pages. Flowers, feathers, bits of paper, strips of cloth, and countless others.]
no subject
You can see me?!
no subject
Then cautiously nods. Is... seeing her... bad?]

And, as an afterthought, adds..]
For Roxas...

He looks back up and shakes his head.]

no subject
No. Not all of his answers come from the book. Just most. But maybe that could use some clarification? He points at the book.]
Memory...
no subject
I doubt you'll find me there. Pretty sure we haven't met.
[Then again, she also had a problem with memories. Could she have met him before they died? Chinatsu peered up at him for a moment.]
Nah, no way.
no subject
Oh, but it is something that can be fixed, right? At that realization Senri points to himself.]
Senri...
[There. Now she's met him.]
no subject
[Not much of a talker is he? She smiles up at him though.]
I'm Chinatsu. It's nice to meet you.
[Getting up from where she was crouching, she takes a seat next to him on the bench.]
Hey, so are you able to remember your past with that book?
[She had no recollection of her past, so she was interested if he managed to find a loophole. Oh, unless he wasn't a shinki.]
no subject
Her question is a tough one to answer though. After mulling it over for a moment, he shakes his head.]
Other people.
[He flips through several pages and pulls out a star shaped charm.]
Kairi.
[After putting that back, he flips to a small piece of torn cloth.]
Ken.
[And then what looks like a flower drawn in lipstick.]
Wendy.
no subject
Sorry, I don't know tho--oh, are you saying they remember?
no subject
I remember them...
[Without the book, and the reminders in it, he can't remember the people he meets. But that's hard for him to put into words. Most things are hard for him to put into words.]
no subject
[And Chinatsu only had so much patience.]
no subject
It's not till he starts feeling the agitation start building up that he decides it was time to go find the bear. So it was off he goes, using the dogs to track Senri as much as he could till he realizes that they can't go to the Near Shore with him.
Senri will find his god out of breath when Roxas finally does find him after a few hours of literally running around the city.]
S-Senri!
no subject
[Senri snaps the book shut and looks up with wide, slightly guilty eyes. He honestly isn't sure whether he's glad to see his god or not.
He left so that his current mental state wouldn't cause any trouble. But it looks as if it did anyway. Because distance doesn't actually affect the god/shinki connection. Not that he really understands that.
For what it's worth, he's sorry.
On the other hand, there is some hope that Roxas can help him explain why his book isn't working the way it's supposed to. And maybe assuage his fears about the possibility of the eye patch failing him as well.
Or maybe Roxas just wants him to run an errand or fight an ayakashi or something.]
no subject
He kneels down and gives his shinki a tight hug. It's okay. Your god gets it.]
You met a lot of new people, huh?
no subject
After a moment, he pulls away and nods, clutching the book tightly.]
Not here....
[None of those new people are in his book. And he doesn't understand how that could be possible.]
no subject
[Does that sound appealing?]
no subject
But that's too complicated right now. For now, he nods eagerly. He does need help. And if he can get those people in the book, that would put everything right again.]
