June Intro/Training Log
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: July 26
Where: Bishamon's temple, the Far Shore
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods and shinki

The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

Divine Bureaucracy
- Wasn't it the newly revamped Shinki Agency's job to assign shinki this time... They thought it was the original team of Amaterasu's shinki's job this one last time before Shinki Agency took over the responsibility. Needless to say, when the shinki wake up at the Meeting Hall, there's a lot of shouting. Eventually, one of the Shinki Agency representatives herds the new shinki together and instructs them to please all go to Bishamonten's temple for the time being and they will send a runner with the god-shinki assignments as soon as they can.
New gods and old gods alike will not be notified that there is a mix-up unless they come to Bishamon's temple for Training, until the Shinki Agency can figure out what happened.
Important addendum: For this round, gods still have a vision of how their shinki died, however they can't make out any details, particularly about who they saw die.
Once a shinki of the Agency gives the god the name of their shinki, the god is then able to find them by name. Once they give their shinki a vessel name the god will have the full vision of how their shinki died.
This addition comes in response to some questions and need for clarification. Apologies and thank you for your input.
God Training
- Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- New characters are welcome to ask old characters if this mix-up is common (spoilers: it's not)
- New Shinki: Get all the information you can handle from the pamphlets provided (links above and see FAQ)
- New Gods: take what information you can from Amaterasu's shinki (see FAQ) while waiting to find out if you've been assigned a shinki
- Veteran gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

MAYBETOTALLY CRASHING[It was weird. The whole thing was weird and a little more than irriating to say the least. How can't it be? She just woke up from her non-living nap only to find those in charge having a shouting match and acting all in rush over it. Nike couldn't help lose a bit of her patience.
....okay, maybe a lot of her patience. If the running away from them was any indication upon the moment the new batch of shinkis were herded to the temple.
Really. Did they really expect to keep her waiting around for her god to pick her up? That's the reason behind those at the agency will begin to yell at her for her impatience and misbehavior, but no way did it deter her instead it made her laugh in defiance.]
Sorry! Not really in the mood to just wait around! Come and catch me if you really want to sto--
[Before she could even finish her sentence, she may have found herself bumping into the very first person or thing in her vicinity, crashing onto whoever or whatever pretty hard with a loud slam and everything.]
SHINKI'S VERY FIRST......PHONE TEXT!
[As much as she should be concentrated on learning to bind while following the instructions over finding her god to train with in figuring out the whole naming and vessel weapon transformation nonsense, Nike was more than just interested in a piece of information that caught her attention the most -- her new phone.
She can be found sitting on the ground in the middle of the training area for those in her particular situation with a phone being held awkwardly in one hand as she began to play around with its features while the brochure remained on the ground.]
Umm, okay, I think I figured out the whole google search thing. You just type whatever at it and it answers back with lots of information! [A pause.] I'll have to read up on that whole facebook thing. Maybe I can find some interesting books to read or faces to remember....? [Are there any faces she should remember? No idea. There are names and numbers though.]
Okay. Um. Now to call. Uh? How do I...? Like this, maybe?
[She may be pressing a whole lot of random buttons and numbers right now. Who may she be calling? Pizza delivery? A taxi? Cotton ball factory? Or maybe another god or shinki by pure luck? Go and pick up the phone or something to find out.]
GARDEN
STALKINGAND SNAKING[Once she had more than enough training and explanation about the rules of proper conduct, Nike can be found by the garden after running towards it at top speed, finding the flowers blooming to be the most interesting thing in the entire area. Her full attention will be on each flower type that she could find with a more than ecstatic look on her face. It was clear she was having fun observing, touching, and smelling them. Maybe someone should stop her from picking a few of them to make crowns out of them?
Food made be the best way to keep Nike out of trouble. The moment she notice the light snacks on display, she will head on over with even more interesting, wondering if she should have some. It was clear she looked a little troubled by something.]

PHONE TEXT
The boy that answers is sweet-voiced, if somewhat worried.]
This is Aidos or Midoriya Izuku. Is everything alright? Do you need anything?
no subject
...this thing can actually be used to communicate with others!?
[Too cool! This was really neat! But then, she'll realize: what now?]
Uh, um, well, I'm not exactly communicating to report an emergency or anything. Um, I didn't really expect this thing to actually work. Like this pamphlet thing says. Um... [Give her a second to look at said pamphlet. Oh, wait.] Oh! Your name is on this thing.
[More silence.]
...so, is this thing only suppose to be used for emergencies? I'm sorry for calling if it is...
no subject
Don't worry, you can use it for things other than emergencies too. It's just that I didn't recognize the name so I thought something might have happened.
Are you settling in alright? Do you need any help?
no subject
[Is that what caller id was? There may be some astonishment at that, but she'll try to keep calm to not raise her voice too much.]
Um, kinda...? There's a lot to think about and...everything is sorta disorganized? Everyone in charge seems to be busy playing the blaming game. I don't really wanna bother them. [That and she just knows they'll give her stern talking to again.] Are you a god, by any chance? Or something?
no subject
[Ah. Yes. He did hear about a bit of a scramble.]
That happens sometimes. Eventually, everything will get straightened out. I don't think you need to worry too much. Uh-yes. I'm Aidos, my domain is shame and humility.
Tell me where you are, and I can meet you.
no subject
[Definitely new. Very new to technology. She figures it may be her first time interacting with something like it.]
Is that so? Well, they better get their act together! They're leaving a terrible first impression on the new gods! [She's hoping her assign god has some experience under their belt because she may need to be strict with them if they decide to adopt the higher ups attitude.] But, it's nice to meet you though! You seem different, so I'll give you a shot.
[Looking around.]
Oh, do you know where the new shinki's train? I'm there. Can you come?
no subject
[There's a soft sigh out of him there too. They should, but they're operating at a low level of chaos with all these new, technically unwanted arrivals.] It's nice to meet you too. Um... What should I call you?
Yeah, I know where that is. I can be there in a little bit.
no subject
[All said a little too enthusiastically, almost like she remembered her name just then. That, and she was excited in getting the chance to make a new friend.]
Okay. Should I...end the call and wait? How long will it take? Are you close?
no subject
Yeah, it'll take me... one or two minutes to get there? I just have to update something.
[He's true to his word, in about two minutes he'll show up via teleportation.]
no subject
[That's all she can say considering that two minutes isn't exactly very long. When he does appear through teleportation, Nike may take a quick step back, after feeling a little startle at his sudden appearance.]
Aidos-sama, right? So that's what teleportation looks like?
[She did read something about that in her pamphlet. Just didn't know gods could do it too. It was both surprising and amazing to say the least.]
no subject
And yes, I don't use it a lot but it's useful.

Phone
[Sakon leans over her and snatches the phone out of her hands without so much as a greeting and starts poking at it himself. He manages to cancel the call, then starts scrolling through the apps. When he gives it back, YouTube is opened and primed to show an animal video.]
This is what it's for! Look at that bird!
no subject
[He came absolutely out of nowhere! It was easy to note she was caught off guard by the sudden appearance and action of her phone being taken, but there was not much to do other than complain and glare at this stranger.
Well, until he returned her phone, only to be alarmed by the sudden appearance of....]
There's a bird! A strange, but beautiful bird is inside my phone!!
[She'll hold her item close, almost right to her face close, trying to figure out the trick to releasing it! HOW DOES SHE SAVE IT!?]
This thing is to capture birds! How do I get it ou---oh, it's gone.
[What was that symbol on the screen where it was before? She'll press it only to find the same bird doing the same thing. What is this!? Her entire attention will be on the stranger because she wants an answer!]
no subject
[There are a few words in there that he has to pronounce very carefully, but he sounds so proud to be showing off what he's learned.]
You can use your phone to record things too!
[He brings up the camera on her phone, which is only showing the ground in front of them right now, but still...]
Ta da!
[He flops down on the ground so that he'll show up on her camera and waves.]
no subject
[The word "internet" she recognized as a worldwide communication type of connection. If she remembered the explanation given to her correctly. Even so, Nike will look amaze at the thought of her phone having more than one function. Record was a word she was familiar with, but not in the way it is being used. Was it the same as recording information to a book? On paper?
When he pushes the camera option on her phone, Nike will slightly jump at his sudden appearance on her item.]
Hey, wait, don't do that! What happens when I record you? It won't hurt you, right?
no subject
[He thumps himself on the chest.]
I'm just fine! It just...uh...
[His brow furrows.]
Actually, I have no idea how it works, but everyone does it! You could just watch other people do stuff all day long! I mean, you shouldn't because your eyes will probably cross and you'll miss out on all the other stuff out there, but you could!
[He sits up and pulls out his own phone, which is becoming weighed down with charms, to the point that he can barely keep the plug in the headphone jack anymore.]
I have all sorts of videos of me doing stuff!
[Nike, don't let yourself get roped into watching Jackass: Far Shore Edition.]
no subject
[There will be some relieve to know he was all right and that recording him didn't have any adverse effects. She'll have to keep that in mind.
But when he decides to show his phone filled with so many knick-knacks, Nike can't help blink a little, finding that more interesting than whatever he may show her, but she figures she can amuse him all the same. He has been very kind to her. She wanted to return the favor in learning about other functions her device can do.]
Yeah, sure. Why not. [A beat.] Do you have any videos of you fighting against the ayakashi? [Because she is rather curious to know what they looked like.]
no subject
[It's more of a question to himself than to her, not that he knows the answer anyway. Could he? It would be kind of hard... He'd ask Tatara to film it, but he's pretty sure he'll say no...]
Ah, maybe, maybe. That's for later. It would be dangerous, though, wouldn't it? You kinda need to focus. Anyway, here.
[He flips through his rapidly growing collection and find video of himself seeing how many kanikko he can fit in his mouth at once. He pushes play and looks rather proud of himself, no matter how mildly horrifying the feat actually is.]
Not ayakashi, but I beat 'em!
[Well, he ate them. That counts.]
no subject
[She figures it would be the case considering the binding ability was more effective when a shinki was focused in the fight. That, and having a third person recording the moment will be needed too. There was a lot of conditions to consider.
When he shows her the pictures of him putting a lot of -- are those baby crabs -- seafood into his mouth. She'll blink a bit at the feat. Blinking, even, too. Stunned silence will be heard on her end until she points out.]
...why do they look weird? The tiny crabs, I mean. I don't think I've seen anything like that before...
[Now that time she was talking about the feat and food all in one.]
no subject
[They look weird by virtue of being tiny crabs in a bag with a crab face on it, to be honest, so he's not quite sure what she means.]
Maybe the stuff they're cooked in? That could be it. They tasted pretty weird, too. I'll eat just about anything once and I'm really not sure if I'd eat those again, you know? I mean, big crabs would be fine, but little ones that are all crunchy? I think I'll stick to chips. Chips are cheaper, too.
no subject
[Okay, maybe she should concentrate on the topic at hand than wanting to learn about other terminology that she may not get in the least bit. They may stray away from this very important topic of food.]
I like eating crab. I think they're delicious when added into soup or stuffed with other ingredients. But those tiny crabs you ate looked really weird. What were they cooked with exactly?
[She was mostly curious about the taste. Why did it taste weird? She wants the details!]
(no subject)
But Who Was Phone?
no subject
Her attention will be on the helmeted woman dancing a bit. Was she okay? But then again, her biggest alarm will be the training dummy's head and her weapon and figuring the music was coming from her direction which may mean.]
...oops...
[Okay, she'll be turning off the call while heading on over to the other woman to...]
Hey, are you okay? [She'll show her the device in question.] S-Sorry. That was my fault. I think Um, is this your number? [She'll hold up her device's screen to show the number she randomly dialed just now.]
no subject
The helmet turns slowly at the attention, and while it betrays no emotion there's something that seems a little embarrassed about the blank stare. The hunched shoulders help. But then she peers in to look at the other phone and offers a nod.]
