[Closed] A Gathering of Thieves
Who: The Phantom Thieves and their Shinki
What: Information Sharing.
Where: The Far Shore, the Park
When: July 26th, Late Afternoon
Summary: 3 new gods arrive to find that 2 of their closest friends are dead, and they are responsible
for two other people as well. A talk is needed.
Warnings: Major Persona 5 Spoilers in comments, also probably language.
[Arriving here with little warning had been jarring enough, but when the Phantom Thieves realized that they weren't alone, and that two of their number had no memories, it was time to confer somewhere. Temples and the like had felt a little raw, and not wanting to stray too far from the Far Shore until they had their bearings, the group had gathered in the park. Akira, Ann, Futaba, Makoto, and Ryuji, along with the shinki that had unwittingly become part of their circle, all standing around in a small clearing, talking. It should've been a positive occasion, but there was no denying the shroud that hung over the group. There was a lot to talk about, and things that needed to be agreed upon.
The question was...how to even start?]

I guess? I mean I've had powers. Well, A power...sort of, it's complicated...but nothing like this.
[She narrowed her eyes, frowning at her hands. Okay. If this was her power, she should be able to turn it off, so...how...]
no subject
Maybe it'll just... wear off? Or do you remember how you had your previous powers stop when you wanted them too? It's probably just a focus thing...
no subject
[Personas are weird man.]
But no I have to be able to make this stop, I mean, it's my power, right? [She hesitates, studying her hands again. No, she could do this. She had to be able to do this. She was a god now, right? As ridiculous as that sounded it was apparently true so...so...]
[So TURN OFF.]
[If there had been any telepaths in the area they would've had such a headache, but...Futaba flickered twice and stopped glowing.]
Oh hey it worked!!
no subject
Ah-- There she goes, though. The flickering makes Shion take a small step back just in case there's something explosive about her power. Thankfully, not.]
Well then! That's not so bad after all. That really is an interesting power. Gods are all so unique.
no subject
I do some kind of light manipulation. Haven't played with it yet. [She still hadn't been 100% on believing it was real.]
Guess if I can glow, at least I know they're there, right?
no subject
That's right. I'm sure your powers have a deeper skill too once you find out how to control it.
I'm Shion, by the way. Shinki to Nike or Ryuji-san.
no subject
But hey, nice to meet you. I mean. In spite of everything. [She was still examining her arms though, to make sure the glow went away.]
Deeper powers would be very cool. Soon as I figure 'em out.
no subject
Ahh. Well...
What should I call you?
no subject
I'm Futaba. [She waves unnecessarily at him, straightening up a bit.] And I guess...Theia? Not really clear on that bit.
no subject
no subject
So do they pray to me or to Theia? Does it matter? I mean it would sort of have to not matter but somehow it feels like a pretty big detail...
no subject
[Shion gives a light shrug of his shoulders.] If I understand all the information I read right, they pray to you. That you and Theia are one and the same person now. Technically, humans more than likely know the name Theia, though.
no subject
Guess that makes sense. Gonna have to build up my own fanbase, probably. [She grinned.] Shame this isn't all online somehow I would be queen of everything then!
no subject
Shion looks a little puzzled...]
Fanbase? Online...? What does that have to do with...
[What's that got to do with being a god?]
no subject
[She grinned. No modesty there, clearly.]
Back home...well. Let's just say I was known far and wide under my internet alias!
no subject
I'm sure you won't have any trouble with followers then, Futaba-san. Maybe you can teach Ryuji-san a thing or two.
