[Closed] A Gathering of Thieves
Who: The Phantom Thieves and their Shinki
What: Information Sharing.
Where: The Far Shore, the Park
When: July 26th, Late Afternoon
Summary: 3 new gods arrive to find that 2 of their closest friends are dead, and they are responsible
for two other people as well. A talk is needed.
Warnings: Major Persona 5 Spoilers in comments, also probably language.
[Arriving here with little warning had been jarring enough, but when the Phantom Thieves realized that they weren't alone, and that two of their number had no memories, it was time to confer somewhere. Temples and the like had felt a little raw, and not wanting to stray too far from the Far Shore until they had their bearings, the group had gathered in the park. Akira, Ann, Futaba, Makoto, and Ryuji, along with the shinki that had unwittingly become part of their circle, all standing around in a small clearing, talking. It should've been a positive occasion, but there was no denying the shroud that hung over the group. There was a lot to talk about, and things that needed to be agreed upon.
The question was...how to even start?]

[And he isn't joking or being sarcastic or dull about it, either. That legit sounds cool and out of all of the things he's excited to do around here (and it's not much), it's checking out Futaba's and Makoto's temples. He tries to remember what his looked like, but...]
I didn't really get a good look around mine. Came straight here soon as that shinki left... but it's kinda big and pretty sure there's a freakin' arcade in there or somethin'. Kinda reminds me of home a little bit.

[This is so important.]

[He'll have to be sure to check later, because it is Very Important.]
The temple ain't half bad, though. I got some kinda fancy bed and my bedroom is huge. [He pauses...] Saw a small runnin' track outside, too.

[Very matter of fact, here. Normally she would've teased Ryuji, but maybe the whole...stuck as gods thing was giving him a little break.]
Mine looked like an apartment. My room, I mean. Except it's underground. Almost my whole place was underground I think.
no subject
[Or Futaba can come over anyway, not like she isn't welcome. It's nice having something to talk about that's actually exciting for a change – it helps keep his mind off of everything else that's going on.]
So kinda like some underground bunker with lights?
no subject
[Decent imitation of Makoto there.]
Yup! Except it also has these great fake windows. They're holograms I think? They were showing a beach and the whole room was kind of warm like I was there! I really need to play with all that more.
no subject
[He totally caught onto that, and he laughs a little... as much as he's able in times like this. At least it's something.]
Holograms? Damn... can you change 'em to look like whatever you want!? Could make it look like you're in space or some kinda video game.
no subject
[And suddenly she really wanted to.]
Maybe I should go back there now..
no subject
[He can understand - he's about ready to head back himself, but he wants to give Ann and Shion a chance to meet everyone they can first.]
I'm feelin' pretty tuckered, too. Been a long day.
no subject
[Which was her small concession to not just bolting, really. She was trying to people!]
Who would've thought gods get tired huh?
no subject
[He lets his shoulders slump, leaning against the bench and sliding down until his head is able to rest against the back of it.]
Found out my wallet didn't get any bigger, either. How the hell am I s'posed to eat around here? Not like someone's gonna cook for me!
[His mom always did that for him....]
no subject
[Did she pay soulless shinki?]
So where do we get money?
[She tried not to think about cooking though because it ended up with her thinking about Sojiro.]
no subject
[That's even a bigger pickle than he thought. Welp.]
I didn't know we had to do that, I got no idea where we're supposed to go make money. I was worryin' about school and savin' the world and shit yesterday, now I gotta worry about gettin' a job and bein' a god...?
[Man, it's a hard knock life.]
no subject
I mean, it makes sense. They have to eat right? And we have to eat...
[She groaned.]
I am way too young to start worrying about having a job!
no subject
[He would like to have Words with them, but he quickly cuts back in before Futaba can answer.]
Is it even legal!? Are you even allowed to work? What're you, like thirteen?
