Dancing Like a Lonely Feather [Open]
Who: Hitsugaya and You!
When: July 26th-31st
Where: Far Shore and Near Shore
What: Hitsugaya's trying to adapt to the Far Shore. Training stuff happens. And he decides to investigate a murder scene.
Warnings: Potential murderplot things describing the death of Ryugazaki Rei
A. Far Shore, July 26-27
[Sitting on a bench in the park is Toushirou, who seems to be staring (glaring, actually) at the phone in his hand. After messing around with a few apps, he eventually huffs and leans back against the bench.
He lays his arm over his eyes, muttering something under his breath.]
B. Far Shore, July 28-31
[For anyone who’s run into Toushirou at Bishamon’s temple before might potentially run into him again at some point in the next couple of days whether it’s at an abandoned temple or in a forest at the base of his temple.
Either way, people are likely to be greeted with a random chill before it passes quickly. Toushirou himself would be found standing in the middle of a clearing, sword held upright in his hand. His eyes were closed, seemingly in thought, but there’s a white aura surrounding him. Above him, the clouds begin to darken and gather as the ground beneath his feet slowly turn into ice.
However, the moment he senses someone approaching, it all dissipates and his eyes snap open. He clicks his tongue in mild frustration, looking at his sword briefly before he turns to face the intruder.]
Yes?
C. July 27th, Near Shore
[Despite being thrust into what is apparently another world, the times are still modern enough for Toushirou to explore the Near Shore without having to worry too much about adjusting to anything properly. However, while he might have come to the Near Shore to explore properly, there’s another reason he went there.
There’s been a murder.
Anyone who has decided to come check the crime scene might not be surprised to see the amount of police officers around the closed community pool. Somewhere by the pool, unseen by the police, stood Toushirou who was surveying the scene with a blank expression masking his face. He wanders over to where there are a couple of unreadable stains on the floor.
If he hears anyone approaching, he’ll spare that person a glance before he resumes examining the scene.]
D. Wildcard
[None of these prompts interest you? Feel free to make one up of your own or hit me up at
seabutterfly or PM this journal if you wanna plot something out!]

It's not quite what he expects to meet Hitsugaya there, but he merely nods to him slightly before turning his attention to the crime scene. The stains on the floor would probably say enough even if Shun hadn't heard the description of the murder on the news, and he lets out a low hiss as he heads for the side of the pool.]
They're getting more brutal. [The remark is murmured, though still loud enough to overhear. He'd wondered if the last killings had been a sign of that, but this seems to have more than answered his question.]
no subject
[This is news to him. Then again, given the fact he's still relatively new to this place, it's not surprising he wouldn't have heard news about any murder yet. He glances over at Shun briefly before he shifts his attention back to the pool.
His eyes narrow briefly when he notices something, walking over to where there's a smashed tile wall inside of the pool. Close to the edge but not enough where he'd fall into the water, Toushirou peers deep into the pool. Immediately, he clenches his jaw once he notices what's still down in the water, eyes darting over to the corpse that was still floating in the water.]
You've investigated the past murders then? [Considering that Shun seems to be knowledgable thus far about this than he is.]

She's been exploring the Far Shore with mild curiosity but of course this would catch her attention. When she see's whose the cause of the chilly weather and clouds, she's almost not surprised.
Of course its Mr.Death himself.
So besides death related things, he's got ice powers. Okay...that's something she hasn't seen before. Or maybe that's just his cold heart and chilly personality do it?
Kirie smirks to herself before scowling mildly at him.]
Did your manners die too or is that how you greet everyone where you're from?
no subject
Seems like Konami was unfortunate this time.
He lowers his sword.]
I wasn't expecting anyone to wander here. [Despite him being aware people are likely to explore. However, given the current season and her current dress of attire, the chill recedes entirely.] You just caught me at a bad time.

But that's okay. Goten knows how to help! It's just like when he first met Eric!
Digging into his pocket, he takes out a candy bar he was saving and drops it onto the gods lap]
Here mister, you look hungry! I betcha need this more then me.
[Or upset. Food helps with that. You're not you when you're hungry!]
no subject
So, he lowers his arm and he looks down at the candy bar on his lap. He looks bemused before he looks at Goten.]
No, I'm fine. I'm not hungry.

Bokuto held loosely in one hand - but not so loosely that he wouldn't be able to defend himself if needed - he strolls closer. Watches the fait white glow around the boy, the clouds gathering, the ice creeping across the grass-
Ah. He gave himself away. Whoops.]
Sorry, sorry! I was just curious, that's all. It suddenly pretty cold for summer. [He laughs lightly, swinging the bokuto at his side. No match for a real sword - not that he hasn't sparred against real weapons with something like that before.]

But there weren't. And her morning went by in a haze of tears and screaming and demanding for answers both from his god and the police. They took her in to question her when she came forward as his girlfriend and had finally released her along with a small duffel bag of the boy's belongings.
She had agreed to meet up with the Baron after which is why she found herself back at the crime scene. But she does notice someone familiar. A hand goes up to rub her eyes with the ball of her palm before she approaches. ]

Being most familiar with walking through a city, aside from other things, it was common enough for Shizuo to spend a few hours walking through the Far Shore and Tokyo. It was... relaxing, and felt normal enough- like he was just the type that walked around a lot (despite preferring to laze around.) The community pool, while he didn't go there, was always passed by.
Now there was a crowd, constantly talking about the 'gruesome incident,' and the victim. Checking his phone, out of intuition more than anything, the blond decided to wander closer to the scene. It didn't matter too much, as long as he didn't touch or mess with anything, given how easy it was for the 'living' to continue on as if he wasn't there, taking up space. Just as it seemed like some other kid was doing- maybe they were a friend of the victim. ]
... The hell. How many more damn times?
[ It seemed like there was enough damage- both to the property and to the kid that was killed- that it couldn't be a normal person doing this. Normal by Far Shore standards, even. Not many people had that kind of brutal strength. ]
no subject
[Shifting his position a bit, Toushirou looks over at the man.
Hello, Shizuo. Meet Toushirou.
The shinigami doesn't look happy about the situation, but otherwise, nothing else really reveals itself on his face.]

B - 29th
If Hitsugaya was paying enough attention to the young spirit's energy over the past few days, while she clearly doesn't leak, like Tsuzuki, there is some oddities about what's been going on. How exact would depend on how often he checked and looked into it, though. However, this is where Botan, sort of, goes right to the subject. ]
Well, I've been curious-
[ Like a cat with her curiosity. ]
Say you're feeling rather tired, and resting doesn't quite bring you to full. Are there any particular ways that you'd try to build that reserve back up?
no subject
But he can understand her concern. Toushirou, admittedly, hasn't been keeping tabs on her. There's been a leakage of spiritual power lately and after he's sensed Tsuzuki's, he found out why.
He looks at her briefly before he appears in front of her in the air.]
Are you having difficulties keeping your power in check?

[So he makes his way through the crime scene, with all the care of someone used to dealing with them, and meets Toushirou's eyes when he looks up.]
I take it they've already taken the body to the local morgue...?
[Reaching up, he adjusts the blue and white beanie on his head. It seems like it'd be better to not wear it during the summer heat, but fight him on it.]
no subject
[But he shifts his gaze back to the pool.]
But they've missed a few things inside of the pool.

B July 30 (arbitrary date choice is arbitrary.)
Unperturbed by his obvious irritation at having been interrupted, Suijin continues approaching, her dark eyes lingering on the ground that had so recently been iced over. She then raises one white-painted hand to point towards the sky.]
I was curious as to who was creating a storm. It was different from the ones that are usually attributed to Raijin and Fuujin. Quite so- perhaps it was closer to an ice storm.
[From beneath the veil her eyes give an interested look towards the sword he holds. She had not missed the look he had given it.]
Are you testing the ability of your shinki?
no subject
[There's an initial wary glance.
Her presence feels different from the rest of so many others he has come across so far. There's something powerful about her, marking her as someone who isn't quite like the rest of the residents of the Far Shore.
Eyes flickering to his sword once more, he shakes his head.]
No. I'm testing out my own abilities.

Thing is, she didn't tell Kirie that Hitsugaya was joining them, to provide input on what counted as appropriate attire for training, and Hitsugaya wasn't told which person she could get to come along, or that Botan was combining both for efficiency. It was a good idea.
Just a little devious. ]
that icon..
As promised, Kirie is right on time as she walks over. She is wearing the same school uniform she first showed up in, which has sense been washed everyday. Shopping was the best idea yet.]
