What: A sleepover!
Warnings: None, and there probably won't be any. Will update if necessary.

[ Axel, Sora, the Riku Replica, Ventus, and both Roxases--they've all been notified by text that Naminé's hosting a sleepover. (Riku, she'd just told herself.) It had been Sora's idea, but Naminé liked it well enough. She's actually not sure what a sleepover entails, but she knows lots of snacks are involved.

Which is why there's a huge variety lain out in the main room of Naminé's temple. There are tons of pillows and blankets, too, enough to make pillow forts--but someone would have to suggest the idea for Naminé to even consider it. There are movies, too, but maybe someone should bring their own, if they have any...

In any case, Naminé's excited (if somewhat nervous, funnily enough) to get the night started. ]

It's great! You're a pro at this already. [Sora gave her a reassured wink and adds his things to the pile.]

I know these things can get sorta messy especially with that dummy Riku around, but I promise I'll help you clean everything up in the morning! [And Sora knew, he'd had plenty of sleepovers in his life and it was always always chaos (maybe more his fault than Riku's but that's an unneeded technical detail). But he wasn't sloppy or inconsiderate, he always helped clean up.]

[ Naminé seems to brighten at that, smile and all. ]

Oh--he's been wonderful. [ Wait. ] Um, I mean, he hasn't made anything messy. He actually... seems uncomfortable.

[ She pauses, frowning now. Naminé can't help but think it's her fault he feels this way; it is their temple, and there are so many people Riku doesn't know... ]

[Sora rubs the back of his head sheepishly.] Yeah, he's never liked stuff when there's lot of people he doesn't know. When we were little he'd only come to sleepovers if it was just me and Kairi and no one else.

[He huffs and crosses his arms.] He always has fun if someone makes him have fun though! He's just a big baby.

[It was probably going to be a little bit more difficult for Riku to come out of his shell now without...you know...memories. Years of Sora shoving him in social situations and all that.] I'm sure he'll be fine once he gets used to us all.

I hope he does. I don't want to force him to do anything that will make him uncomfortable.

[ Sora's a lot more outgoing than Naminé is. Maybe... she should leave it to him? Really, she's not sure if Riku will ever regain his memories, but she hopes. Strange, that--hope. But here... Naminé thinks she can understand it better. ]

Honestly? Sometimes doing stuff that’s uncomfortable for him actually helps. [Sora laughs,] Like I said, once he’s doing fun stuff he actually is a lot of fun. It’s just making him do the fun stuff that’s the hard part.

[Sora likes to think he's pretty good with dealing with Riku. Growing up together did that. But Naminé was the one who was going to live with him and she was a lot more soft spoken than Sora was. When he thinks about it though, they might just get pleasantly along not matter what. She was sweet and gentle and maybe that would be a better approach to Riku’s memory loss right now than Sora’s more straight forward attitude.]

It might be better for you to coax him into stuff than me right now...Haha.

[ Naminé's sure Sora meant that as a lighthearted comment, but she... genuinely feels bad. Still. Riku doesn't remember either of them, but what if he remembers her sooner than he remembers Sora? Is that... is that really fair? It's a maybe, and Naminé's thinking entirely too hard about it, but... ]

... Better for me to do it? How?

[Sora snorts a bit and laughs.]

Well, I freaked out so bad when we got here; I bet he thinks I’m a serious weirdo.

I’m not used to this, it’s hard. I’ve known him all my life how do I just turn all that off without freaking him out? I don’t know!

[Sora’s not looking upset or sad though, he’s trying to be optimistic.]

I guess what I’m saying is he’ll probably like being around you. Once he’s ok with being a shinki with you then I’ll come annoy the stupid blockhead more. Punch him right in the belly. Pow.

[As much as Sora wanted to just grab him and shake him and tell him everything right away and force his friendship back…Sora knew that wasn’t how Riku worked. He couldn’t place 15 years of friendship back in a few days.]
