[closed] if we catch a criminal / when we catch a criminal
Who: Team Robbers (Chikusa Kakimoto, Ken Joshima, Lavi, Ayumu, Oona, Fushimi, Yata, Niles)
What: If you want to catch a murderer, you need the tools for it. It's fine if those tool are acquired a little illegally, right? They're all dead, it's fine.
When: Backdated to late July 27, after Rei Ryugazaki's murder
Where: Tokyo Metro PD
Warnings: It's a gaggle of teenage shitshows, breaking into a police department, and also Niles is there. Jackassery abounds. Has to do with the murder plot.
At this point, with the murder count only steadily rising and threatening to break the double digits, there's no help for it. Heaven clearly got its hands all over some of the original crimescene, but it's become doubtful if they know how to handle it or do anything, really.
If one were to ask Chikusa, he'd say that it's debatable on how familiar the Heavens are with modern method for crime scene investigation. That's probably why he's here, not too far from the Tokyo Metro PD, ready to break in.
Well, not just him. That's why everyone else is gathered here, with the majority aiming to just go straight inside. Has everyone brought majority dark blue clothing to wear? They better have, because Chikusa told them to.
Chikusa's goals are simple, although the "shopping list" is long. He wants equipment suitable for the investigation of a crime scene and the coroner's report for Rei. He'd also like it if they could find where in the morgue the body itself is along with any evidence the police gathered at the crime scene, but they're not a top priority in Chikusa's mind if they can get the coroner's report.
How are they getting in? Well, it's simple. Those of the Far Shore, such as gods and shinki, don't "really" exist to the sight of normal humans, and they quickly forget them when they do see them. Thus, when pressed, Chikusa will explain that's why he's told everyone to bring, if not outright a blue blazer and slacks, some sort of blue outfit. If they just go in and are mindful of fucking around, then they should be effectively invisible or, to anyone who does see them to some degree, the cop blue of their outfits will trick anyone into thinking they belong there.
For everyone's benefit (or at least those going inside), Chikusa has provided very rough sketches of the map of the building, or at least the most relevant floors they'll be at. With that, those going inside will.
However... Maybe you're just really bad at following directions. Or reading a map. Or are a dick with your own agenda. Since Chikusa isn't going to make everyone stick together, especially since splitting up will get them all they need faster. So feel free to get into wherever you please, whether by accident or design. It's an 18 stories tall building, after all. There's lots to do.
Keep in mind that the group is split into two teams: Team Hacking which will be outside of the department (probably) and getting information via computer, and Team Robber which will be the jackasses going inside.
Everyone make their own top levels either way, there's no way this would be a single thread without dissolving into disaster.

Fushimi | Team Hacking
And when Yata didn't understand what Fushimi meant by hacking into the computer systems, he figured he had to go to save them from themselves.
So there is one fairly pissy-looking twenty something with a laptop tucked away at a table not far from the station. He has coffee and at least three portable chargers, one of which seems to be solar powered.
He's prepared, alright?]

Maaaaaan. When I volunteered for breaking and entering, I thought there'd be more actual, y'know, breaking and entering.
[ Or at the very least breaking! ]
This is boring.

Chikusa Kakimoto - ota
[Unlike possibly some of you shitshows, Chikusa came prepared... on the uniform front. Instead of just a simple blazer and slacks, he's decked out in full police uniform. Where did he even get this thing? Don't ask questions, you're all breaking into a cop station with him.]
[If you have any questions, whether upon arrival or while he's explaining the plan, now's the time. Alternatively, you can just harass him, that's fine too.]
B - Equipment Got
[It's taken a little bit- because of shenanigans? Maybe- but Chikusa has finally gotten to one of the supply rooms in the enormous building. Carefully, making sure to avoid anywhere too populated with regular people in it, he starts to go through all the equipment to pack the kits as he wants them. Some things are just extra baggage he can get anywhere, like flashlights. He needs to only get what he needs.]
[...Oh. And-]
Don't touch that.
[He's not even looking up from what he's doing.]
C - Morgue
How are you with dead bodies?
[Wow. That's. That's sure a question being asked. You weren't busy doing anything, right? You better not be, because Chikusa's dead eyed stare is focused right on you.]
D - Kennel
[Wandering around? Well, wander around to the kennels, and you'll find Chikusa waiting outside, leaning against one wall and staring blankly at nothing.]
[Feel free to ask him what he's doing, because he's not going to offer it of his own free will.]
E - Wildcard
[Drag him into anything, this nerd needs to be exhausted from this event and is available anywhere.]
C
[Lavi was looking at some of the dead bodies. He was searching for the one named Rei, of course.]
no subject
[That's what having an assassin's skillset does for you. Still, he glances over what Lavi is looking at.]
Where have you looked so far?
no subject
[He gestures to the wall on the far right.]
You'd think they'd have some sort of proper organization for this, but didn't take account into multiple people potentially having the same name.

Despite his best efforts.]
This thing's annoying, byon. [Ken's fussing with his collar, again, tugging at the tie.] It's too tight. How'm I supposed to fight in this?
[You're not, Ken. That's the point. Chikusa's probably already explained this at least twice. But Ken's clearly uncomfortable enough to just be ceaselessly complaining, without any real point to it.
For all that he clearly hates the uniform, though...Chikusa was able to convince him to wear it remarkably easily. And he's making no move to take off any part of it. He's been strangely compliant in that area.]

[So after a second, he finally sighs in defeat and looks over to Ken.]
We're not fighting. We're stealing.

Lavi | OTA
Really, one thing that stands out is the case file concerning the latest murder victim.
Come bother?]
because why not
[He's going to move to read over your shoulder, Lavi, so don't freak out about the archer sneaking up behind you.]
Something interesting?
why hello there
['Sup, Niles.
Lavi leafs through some pages.]
This one right here is about the victim that died in the pool not too long ago.
hello from the outside
[And has his own gruesome thoughts on the matter that he won't bring up.]

Oona - OTA
[She's not sure which team she's even supposed to be on-- someone might've told her, but all she really knows is she's here to help them teleport away if need be.
Actually, come to think of it, she's not sure why they're here in the first place. She loiters around the entrance, looking idly over notices posted up and scratches at her cheek]
Ehh... [She makes a loud noise to get the attention of her fellow, er, teammates, and asks, not looking up:] Why are we here? Looking for things for murderer? Why? Why does it matter?
[There's no whining or judgement in her tone, she's just honestly curious.]
[Wildcard]
[Oona can be found just about anywhere until it's time to teleport people away. She sits on desks and watches the work, steals donuts and shoves them in her mouth at every opportunity (at one point she just up and lifts an entire box and is wandering around with it), or poking around evidence rooms]
A
[Still, it's expected with Oona, and Chikusa sighs a little as he pokes about someone's desk.]
Because whoever is murdering gods and shinki is targeting new god and shinki like us, not the old ones...
[Implying that Chikusa wouldn't care in that case? Well listen.]
no subject
People are killed. It happens. Why does it matter if they are targeting 'us'? Have not been killed or targeted. People that I know have not been killed.
Is just strange, suppose. People are killed every day, every minute, but do not put this much care into those.
[Again there's no judgement or much to give away her own feelings on the matter. She just scratches idly at her cheek and shrugs again]
no subject
[Another sigh.]
You or people you know haven't been targeted yet...

[Ken is mostly in Oona's boat, here; he's only vaguely clear on what they're even doing. And he mostly doesn't care about the people who've been killed, nor does killing in general alarm him. But the potential for the people he cares about to be harmed down the line is enough for him to deem this a critical matter.
Of course, that means that when Ken refers to important people, he means people he, personally, cares about. No other measure of importance means anything to him.]
We dunno who they're gonna go after, so we gotta stop 'em if there's anybody we don't want to die.
no subject
So instead she sort of hums, acknowledging, and then shrugs.] Suppose makes sense. Still... Why are we doing this work? Ama- Ehhh... One in charge, should she not be doing this? Tch... Heavens are so useless.
[But it's whatever, just an observation.]
no subject
Possibly Chikusa just wants him around to carry his bags.] Her temple even got set on fire. She could still be busy cleaning that up, byon. But that just means we're better. [This thought pleases him immensely.]

Ayumu | OTA
And maybe she's serving as a bit of a chaperone, too, while she's at it. There's several youngsters involved and if they're going to break into an important building, she'd rather they do it under adult supervision. Of course, there was always the option of stopping them but that didn't even occur to her. There was a killer on the loose and if this building had valuable information and equipment as Chikusa had told her, this operation has merit.
As she'd been instructed to do so, Ayumu's wearing a police woman's uniform, her long thick hair neatly coiled under a cap, and an eyepatch in a matching shade of blue over her left eye. She'd opted for simple flats. She's also armed with several concealed knives on her person just in case they run into any kind of trouble that might require getting one's hands bloody.
Generally, Ayumu can be found shadowing random people in various locations, both members of the team to see what they're doing and assorted personnel lingering in the building. On occasion, she can be found in corners attempting to mimic the way policewomen walk and carry themselves. Her earliest attempts are a little rocky but after steady observation and practice, she begins improving in leaps and bounds until not only she's hard to detect by the Near Shore people, she's starting to blend in with the actual police.
Feel free to come bug her.]
no subject
....Is there... a reason for that...?
no subject
[She smiles a bit knowingly. Until just now, he hadn't seemed aware of her observing him. The others who'd come seemed mostly unaware of her presence as well which suits her fine. It gives her more freedom to look around and study her surroundings more carefully and absorb this new information without interruption or distraction.]
If I ever need to return here in the future, I'll be able to infiltrate this place with even less risk of detection by those who work here. Not only do I blend in with the women here if they're to notice me but I have a better idea of the layout of the building and common routines here.
[She chuckles a little and comes closer, looking at Chikusa's spoils with keen interest.]
What are these?
