There's something about it that makes Izumo want to expel all of the self-guilt he's been pushing onto himself ever since Totsuka died.

What if he could have prevented it somehow?

Why did it have to be him?


Questions he tries not to think about now, but questions he remembered thinking as he watched his best friend die. There was someone else with them that was holding him, someone else who was close, but Izumo can't quite make out who that person was.

Only Totsuka stood out.

Izumo curls his fingers around his glass, clutching it tightly.]


You didn't exactly have a choice in that regard - being shot and all. [But it hurts.

His first memory of Totsuka was of seeing him in a hospital. His last memory was of him dying from a gunshot wound.]


But I'll take that apology, anyway.
