[open] A sad memory and a lost friend
Who: Yuto and you
When: backdated to July 31
Where: In the place where Sora's temple used to be, later the beach
What: Yuto regains a memory, but loses a very close friend
A. The memory
[He remembered something from his past. Ruins of a city, fire and dust and debris everywhere. The place he saw in that memory looked like it was torn by war. There were civilians fighting soldiers clad in strange uniforms. In the midst of this chaos there was a girl with long black hair, her clothes tattered and dirty. She was kneeling on the ground, hugging a child. And she was crying and saying that it shouldn't be like this. He remembered that his heart ached hearing her words, but it also made him want to do everything he could to make things better, to stop this chaos.
That's all. There was nothing else he recalled besides that short, sad memory. A memory that left him with so many unanswered questions - who was that girl? What was that city? Why were those people fighting? What was he doing there?
Yuto isn't quite sure if it's a good thing he remembered it, because now it'll be too easy for him to become bothered by the guilt that he had forgotten about so many important things and that maybe his friends are still suffering somewhere out there and he can't do anything about it.
Yuto sighs. He should... probably talk about this with someone, but he doesn't want to worry Hajime (at least not right now) so his only other choice is pretty clear. Because who would be better to talk to than a close friend? With that in mind, Yuto makes his way towards Sora's temple. He doesn't expect anything else to happen today.
But the reality is cruel. When Yuto arrives at the place, he freezes, eyes wide open. He shakes his head as if trying to wake up, blinks a few times. But the temple is gone.
It's gone.]
Sora!
[His cry is hopeless ad pointless. Nobody will hear him. Sora is gone. It feels almost ironic considering their last conversation, where Yuto promised that he'll never leave Sora.
And now he stands there, eyes empty.
And he falls to his knees.]
B. A sad afternoon
[Yuto didn't go back to Hajime. Instead he can be now found on the beach, sitting on some rock and looking at the water. His shoulders are slouched and he looks way more depressed than usually.
First the memory, now Sora is gone. Yuto almost can't believe it, but the truth can't be denied. The temple is gone, Sora is nowhere to be found.
Another friend who is gone. Suddenly a terrifying thought pops in his mind, that one day he'll wake up and won't find Hajime anywhere. Or that Lavi will be gone, or any other of his friends that are still here. When he thinks about it a frustrated grimace appears on his face and his hands curl into fists.
He feels he's failed again.]
