[Semi-Open]
Who: Eiji, Ankh, and later you
What: Eiji and Ankh get settled in their temple and later on people can come stop by.
Where: Fortuna's Temple
When: March 30th
Warnings: Potential angry bird
[Closed to Ankh]
At first glance the temple wasn't anything to write home about. It was surprisingly mundane and small on the outside and not a lavish dwelling like one would think a god's abode would be like. The greenery around it helped make it stand out a bit more but it didn't change the pedestrian look it was sporting. The inside was a different story, however. It was very spacious and could fit a large group of people, Eiji noted to himself.
"So this is where we're going to be living." He looks around with interest, walking this way and that to take in the decor of the large room. He could see another doorway that led into what appeared to be a kitchen, and there were more rooms that he had yet to see fully.
[Open]
If anyone were to come to Fortuna's Temple they would be met by the sight of a surprisingly humble building surrounded by greenery on the outside. But once they go inside they will find that the exterior was hiding a more decorative interior. But only just slightly more fancy. There was a pleasant scent in the air to accompany the presentation, creating a welcoming atmosphere and the visitors will find that they can smell what counts as their favorite foods coming from the kitchen. Comfy handmade blankets are draped about over eclectic furniture and everyone is free to sit themselves down if they wished to.
The decor is consistent through out the rest of the temple which consisted of several other rooms that counted as bedrooms, and there was a staircase that led up into a small attic; a space that the aforementioned god had claimed for himself.
The temple's current residents can be found out and about in the building and Eiji will greet the visitors if they catch his attention. Ankh, meanwhile, can be found either lounging on top of the temple's roof or at the high-table inside.

Eiji and Ankh
It was home. For a creature that lived centuries, it was the only real home he ever had, despite the waves of humanity that appeared in the big room downstairs.
As soon as they stepped into the building, Ankh relaxed. It wasn't something very noticeable by anyone that didn't know him. His limbs just moved far more smoothly, his face losing some of that scowl, his hands uncurling a fraction. He looked around, sniffing the air before giving a throw pillow a poke and then moving to the kitchen and unearthing an ice candy like nothing has changed.
"Of course it is. Were you expecting a lot of gold or something?" Ankh said it almost automatically around the treat as he hopped up to sit on the counter.

Sure, gold was a precious metal and it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to expect it to be something that was associated with gods. But Eiji hadn't been sure what to expect really other than vague ideas and thoughts he had formed himself. Like a big building of sorts but this worked just fine. It looked to be really cozy.
no subject
"What did you expect?"
no subject
"I guess something bigger? But this is good, it's very welcoming."
And, even though they had just gotten here, Eiji already feels at home.

Even if there were temples everywhere for Fortuna, Ankh was pretty sure that the temples would quickly become unusable. There was something unlucky with the deity of fortunes, something that begged to not let people actually take too much of an interest in case that the fortunes brought out were ones that resulted in tragedy. Having a place that bespoke of wealth and power would just be courting the wrong sort of things. Besides, Ankh had enough of that kind of living.
He tossed his stick in the closest rubbish bin and hopped off the counter, heading for the stairs up. Usually he just would use a window but he had Eiji with him and he wanted to see what the human would choose out of the bedrooms.
"C'mon, let's get you settled."
Would he just follow him to the room they use to share, or would he take the other turn and go for a different room? Ankh was almost scared to find out.

Eiji follows after Ankh to where the bedrooms were located. He was going to be living here from now so it would make sense that he needed to find the place he was going to be sleeping in.
no subject
"Go whichever way you want to."
no subject
But he wasn't the only one here. He looks back to Ankh, "Have you already picked a room?"
no subject
It was a little obvious over which room he picked already - there was a drape of red silk over the bunk bed and a few feathers already scattered on the floor from earlier. But Eiji might not know about that now. It seems that Eiji didn't know about a lot of things given his status as shinki. He gave the space a slight scowl and then flexed. His wings came out, a few loose feathers drifting down while the rainbow hues of the semi-transparent wings glittered in the soft light.
"It's easier for me to get at then the ground floors."

"Hello...?" She called out. It smelled nice so there had to be somebody around here somewhere.
no subject
"Ah, hello!" He gives a friendly smile when he spots the unfamiliar girl at the entrance.
/slides in here
He made some kind of sound around the treat, not quite looking at the girl but still watching enough as if to figure out what she wanted.
Re: /slides in here
Then she stops short as another person enters the room but she seems a little concerned that he didn't really make an attempt at an introduction. Maybe she wasn't really welcome? But that doesn't stop her from at least trying "It's nice to meet you too!" ...whatever your name is. She turns back to Eiji, a question mark plain on her face like she's wondering how to make her introduction.
no subject
"Ankh, that's a lot of ice cream." He doesn't forget about Mai, but he had to say that first. He turns back to face her, "I'm sorry. Mai, right? My name is Eiji Hino, it's nice to meet you too."
no subject
It wasn't quite the deal he and Eiji had gone over before, but Eiji wasn't quite the same person he had made the deal with so Ankh felt pretty well justified in twisting it a little. Besides, concentrating on the ice cream would keep him from doing something ridiculously stupid like get the girl upset which would then get Eiji upset at him. As much as he didn't care when it came to random humans, he did care about how Eiji would react.

And her goal with exploring was to make more friends after all. "I hope it's okay that I came over to visit. "It's so nice in here and it smells really good too."
no subject
He didn't forget that bit from their conversation at Hanami. Of course, he also remembered that Ankh had requested that he remind him to eat things other than frozen treats. But he doesn't keep his attention on Ankh forever, they had a guest in the temple.
"It's all right that you did. My name is Eiji Hino, what is yours?"

I'M LATE BUT I'M HERE
He's sure got a load of self-esteem.
But he's curious about the temple. He peers in, curiously. As a temple of Fortuna, that's... not what he expected. He hms, curiously.
"... It's... comfortable." Please ignore that he sounds surprised and that could be taken as very rude.

"Oh, it's you! Hello."
no subject
Excuse him for being a little snappish in his corner. Ankh was sitting at the high table, the raised platform it was on allowing him to watch everyone as they came in the door and looked around. There was a plate of something vaguely Italian in front of him and he was using a fork to stab at it in a way that suggested that he wasn't sure what fuckery he was seeing.
"Something like that would be a waste considering Fortuna is least likely going to favor itself."
no subject
Basically 'not this' covers it, but--
"I thought temples would be more formal." Like he doesn't know why but he just assumed. He can't remember anything so maybe he just... read about them once? Or something.
no subject
He doesn't forget about Nageki being there, so when he turns back to the younger there's a small expression of apology present on his face.
no subject
"Temples are also a god's home. Shouldn't it reflect what that god thinks of as being home?"
If Eiji remembered this place, Ankh was sure there would be a lot of questions raised. As it was, he still questioned some of the things that the temple had done the moment he came into the building. Like the food. He was sure he had never asked for the food to turn up like it did, tasting a little like Chiyoko had cooked it.
no subject
"... It's very nice."
no subject
"Have you been well?"
He distinctly remembers the first meeting they had and how bothered Nageki had been in regards to the food they had been offered at the party.
