July Training
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: August 5
Where: Bishamon's temple, the Far Shore
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki

The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

God Training
- Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

[Emizel had improved a little from the last time he was here. Though it's hard to see it when he was hitting targets that can't fight back. Some have been charred up, some of them are frozen, some even looked like they were chopped into two...though with some struggle.]
[Getting clean cuts with a scythe was, hard. Most of the time it would get stuck somewhere in the middle, it was even worse when he could not actually pull it out. This is still better than how he generally does. Before Emizel was lucky if the blade would cut through at all. This-- well, it was a start.]
[B - Rest + Refreshments]
[Whenever Emizel was not beating himself up against targets, he was working on another way to improve his godhood: Networking. He was still a new kid on the block and there was plenty of gods here far superior than him in experience and followers. There is lots he could learn from them.]
[Within time the small demon approached someone he had not seen before with questions in mind. Socializing may not his strongest trait, but diplomacy is another thing he had to work on.] Do you have a moment?
[C - Wildcard!]
[Surprise me! Or plot with me through PM/
B
[Well -- close enough. Hakkai's pausing his sword practice for a moment to pick up a bottle of water when the young man stops him with that question, and all he has to get back to is more of the same. The targets, being very patient, will wait.
This is slightly more interesting, and so he raises his eyebrows.]
How can I help you?
Sorry late
Um, you don't happen to be a god too right? Have you been here for very long?
[Too personal?? Let's try moving it back.]
--I've only been here for a few days so I don't know everyone yet.
No worries!
[He smiles politely, offering a small bow.] My name is Cho Hakkai, and I'm here in the place of Iron Crutch Li, patron of apothecaries and the downtrodden. And yourself?
no subject
[Perhaps getting too ahead of himself. But that is way more interesting than what he expected to get.]
I-I'm Emizel, they chose me to stand in for the death god Thanatos. Pretty fitting considering I was the current Death back home. I'm just not that good at it yet...
no subject
[But 'current Death' is an unusual thing to say, too, and Hakkai's gaze flicks interestedly back to Emizel's face.]
Pleased to meet you, Emizel. So you are a god of death, and not just assigned to act as one here?

B
I've only been here for a few days so, I was hoping to get to know the other gods a bit better.
You are one right?
no subject
Sorry, can't say that I am. I'm a shinki.
no subject
[Whoops.] S-sorry...I haven't gotten that good at telling them apart.
[Well, some may be more obvious than others. And thoroughly checking everyone would just be weird and creepy.]
[A small chat still won't hurt though, god or no.]
no subject
Don't worry. It's hard to tell at first.
[Lavi just never makes an assumption unless it comes up.]
But anyway, what did you want to talk about?

A! Sorry I'm so late to this
As he approached, he started to feel a bit strange. Almost similar to the connection he'd had to his previous god...
"Pardon me, but I don't think we've met! I really like your fighting style, I don't believe I've seen a weapon like that before."
Viktor himself only carried a training staff, since he wanted to work on his aim and balance. He was also interested in improving his borderlines since they were really the only spell he could do even a little bit accurately.
No worries!
"Ha, it is pretty unique. After all, it's--" as Emizel turned around he suddenly had a chilling feeling. Once he locked eyes with Viktor it became all the more apparent why. Poor kid looked like he had seen a ghost.
He cradled his head with one hand. If these visions were going to keep being a thing he's not sure if he wants to stay as a god. "A-are you..."
"You're a shinki...?" his new shinki, rather. There's no mistaking it but he was not sure either.
no subject
He'd never asked about the visions, since Yuri had seemed so bothered by them. He did wonder, but it seemed out of line to ask.
"And I really do like that weapon! Can you show me how you use it?"
Aside from what he'd managed to glean from watching, of course. There had to be more to it and he was interested!
no subject
"I-I'm Emizel, the current stand in for Thanatos. But...maybe you already knew that," he held the scythe steadily in front of him. With the height and all it was likely blocking his face. "I am a reaper demon back home, so this is my scythe. I don't...really get to use it often. I like casting magic on my staff instead. But now that I'm here, I figured I should practice on both."
Not going to mention that another god kicked his butt either. No shinki is going to want to be his shinki if they knew he was that weak...
no subject
"A reaper demon!? How cool!! What exactly does that entail, do you help the newly departed souls make their way to heaven or hell?"
Yeah, evidently he had a bit of a mythology interest. So sue him.
And pfffft, as if Viktor would care. He honestly hated fighting and would much rather have just challenged people in some other way. Losing in a fight didn't lessen his opinion any.

B
He looks the kid over before answering. A newbie? Or, at least, someone Add isn't familiar with, so it wouldn't hurt to gather some information on him.]
What do you want?
no subject
I just wanted to ask a few things, but if you're busy...
[Can always go look for someone else.]
no subject
You've already disturbed me, so you might as well get on with it. Or were you only planning to pointlessly waste my time?
[He folds his arms, staring at Emizel expectantly now. Clearly this kid must've heard from someone about how intelligent Add is and wisely came to him for information.]
no subject
It's so that I can get to know most of the people up here better. Are you a god or a shinki?
[Since apparently he can't tell the two apart, most of the time.]
no subject
You're obviously new at this, so I'll let it slide this time. Currently, I'm filling the role of the god Henir. Now, what of yourself?

B (forever late, sob)
So he’s out and about at the training session, mingling -- which perhaps isn’t Emizel’s strongest suit, but it is most definitely among this god’s greatest talents. It isn’t long before he’s addressed, either. Wearing a genial smile for whomever he should meet, he turns. ] Always!
[ A tilt of his head then. ] Is there something I can help you with?
No worries, I've been slow getting to everyone anyway
no subject
Sure! What would you like to know?
[ He's an open book. Seriously. ]
