July Training
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: August 5
Where: Bishamon's temple, the Far Shore
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki

The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

God Training
- Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

He'd hoped, but he hadn't realized-- hadn't expected-- that he'd be meeting his god so soon. It's a relief, and his face brightens instantly with delight.]
Really! I'm so glad-- I'm Tsukiyono Omi. It's nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you!
[The boy seems pretty reserved and stoic, but Omi isn't going to let that concern him yet. For now, he's just going to be happy that he's found where he belongs.]

[ It's a little disarming to be so happily met. Especially since Bombay's -- Omi's -- death is still so fresh in his mind. But if he harks back to when he first arrived as a shinki, he does know that the 'being dead' part did not bother him at all. He figured it was because he couldn't remember it. But in retrospect, he thinks he'd probably react just the same even if he did. He understands now that most people are not like him, though.
After his time spent with Omi, he does know that smiles come easily for him. They don't always reflect what he's really thinking on the inside. ]
..okay, [ he says. He doesn't smile back. But he does nod slightly, with a more personable air than he'd show a stranger. It's a minute detail though, that might be overshadowed by his overall calmness. ]
What are you working on? [ He nods at the pamphlet in his hand. ]
no subject
Oh, this? It's a pamphlet I was given about being a shinki. It's kind of them to offer some information to start with! Hey, what do you want to accomplish together? Is there a special cause you're passionate about?
no subject
The question seems so strange. 'Special cause' definitely sounds like something a lot more benevolent than anything Nagi thinks about. Then again, Schwarz was never about helping other people. It's not exactly his first instinct. This also predates his time with Crawford and Rosenkreuz.
He blinks with some surprise. ]
Technology, I guess? I like computers.
no subject
Oh... Okay! Those can be fun. What's the mission?
no subject
Still, he's not sure it's a very satisfactory answer. If Omi were any old shinki, Nagi wouldn't really care what he thought.
He pauses awkwardly. He's more accustomed to having a mission laid out for him and then executing it. While he does have an overarching personal mission for himself, he's not sure whether Omi should be in on it or not. ]
I haven't been a god for very long, [ he says instead. ] Maybe you can help me set the parameters.
no subject
He still intends to perform as well as he can, of course. But maybe he doesn't have to be as anxious and afraid of failure.]
Really? Are you sure it wouldn't be overstepping on my part? I... I'm glad to help however you want me to, although I don't know how good I am at setting parameters. I'll do my best!
no subject
I don't see why not. If you're willing, it would be better to design the missions together.
[ If he has some sense of purpose, maybe Omi can stay focused. An erratic and unhappy shinki isn't going to do either of them any good. ]
no subject
[Omi responds quickly, wanting to reassure his god that he's eager to please him.]
Can I ask what you're god over? Maybe that can be a springboard for ideas for the missions we do.
