Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ NOT. CRYING. Just relieved is all. ]

Of course I remember you. How could I even be brought here as a shinki? If you've somehow forgotten, we are already dead.

[ Duh, Ronald. ]

Begging your pardon, sir, but you did. Just about a month ago.

[ And he's reaching up to awkwardly rub the back of his neck before absently adjusting his jacket over his shoulder - just in case. ]

Ask Mister Sutcliffe and a lad named D2 if you don't believe me. M'not the only one you spoke with then, mind.

That is absurd.

[ He has to remind himself that he's no longer in possession of his work binder. A shame really, since it would show that he's been hard at work collecting souls this past month, and thus never left their home world. ]

I had just arrived on the Campania to make sure you and Sutcliffe were fulfilling your assignment correctly. Which, of course, you weren't.

Mad as it is, Mister Spears, it's the truth. Honest it is, swear on me scythe.

[ Of course he'd be a hard one to convince, Ronald knew that from the start. ]

Blimey but the Campania seems so long ago. It'd prolly do no good to tell you I haven't seen London in nearly a year, then?

[death_glare]

[ blink blink William presses a finger to his temple as if he's already going to give up on trying to figure out how that's even possible. ]

So being summoned here doesn't affect our home worlds.

[ Good. His desk won't be overflowing with forms whenever the heavens decide to send him back. ]

[diehardreaper]

Doesn't seem it, sir.

[ There's a furrow to his brow as he tilts his head. ]

At least I'm hoping if the send us back, it'd be on the same day they took us.

[ He can't help but subconsciously clutch his left sleeve. If they sent him back... could they....? ]

Yes, here's hoping.

[ Or perhaps they could fast-forward time and bring him back the day he's forgiven and allowed to leave the purgatory he's gotten himself trapped in.

It's quiet between them for a bit, as William looks around the training grounds, taking in the sight of everyone. But when he looks back to Ronald, he notices that the sleeve he's gripping is not normal. ]

What happened to you arm?

[diehardreaper]

[ ....it was unavoidable. ]

You wanted proof I've been around here longer'n you lot, didn't you?

[ He lets the jacket slip, hanging it over his right shoulder instead and leaving the empty sleeve in full view. But he doesn't look disturbed. Just a sheepish little smile that makes him look like a kid waiting to be scolded. ]

Do I even want to know the circumstances that brought this on?

[ Cause regardless of what it was, you're obviously at least partially at fault, Knox. Can't you be more attentive? ]

[diehardreaper]

Depends. D'you have time for a bit of a tale?

[ That grin on his face is back and it's probably reminiscent of the times he comes up to explain why his reports hadn't been handed in yet. ]

Can't guarantee you'll believe all of it but it'll be a hundred percent true.

[death_glare]

Let me at least get some tea first.

[ He glances to the refreshments table. He has to admit he's slightly curious. Besides, he can't reprimand his subordinate properly if he doesn't know what happened. ]

[diehardreaper]

Not a problem! You'll prolly need it, to be honest.

[ With that, he stuffs his hand in his pocket and glances over at the table. ]

I'll get that then, shall I? Like old times? Fair warning the tea here isn't the same as back home.

Is it, at least, strong?

[ He needs his tea strong. And they damn well better have coffee in this place, too. ]

Only as strong as you make it.

[ Thankfully he can still brew up a mean batch of both tea and coffee. ]
