Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Ronald Knox is a coworker of mine. I am his supervisor for the Collections Department.

I suppose it'd be weird knowing that you won't have to act as his supervisor anymore.

[ She pays attention, and honestly, some of those traits could be pretty glaring. (If you'd pardon the pun. Though you really shouldn't.) ]

Though I'm curious; do all the reapers where you're from have the same eyes? Because there's at least three others, including myself, and we don't follow that pattern. I know there's one other that's recently arrived who fits your kind of energy, but I haven't met them yet.

More of a relief than anything else. Though I have suspicion that I will have to watch over him, regardless.

[ He won't admit it's because his coworkers are practically his family, at this point. And while they irritate him beyond measure, he would rather not lose them, both in a professional and personal sense. ]

The other is probably Grell Sutcliffe. I would stay away from that one, if you have the choice.

But yes, in our world all reapers have the same yellow-green eyes. And we all possess glasses, as well.

It's nice to know that you care enough to stay involved with him, even if it's optional at this point.

[ Oh, did she say care? She meant- Well, she meant exactly as she said. That's how it sounded, and so that's exactly how Botan verbally interpreted what William said. Warning aside, and William's stern expression, it seems the blue-haired reaper had no trouble keeping up a smile.

She'll have to keep those traits in mind, most definitely. ]

I'll try to remember that, if given the choice. My name's Botan, by the way. Something tells me that we'll be crossing paths a few more times in the future.

Consider it a reflex at this point, if anything. A hard habit to break when you have been expected to do so for decades.

A pleasure, Miss Botan. And I assume so. Honestly, I am surprised by the amount of reapers who have been brought here. Perhaps we should all become acquainted, in some form.

Oh, you definitely should. Aside from that last one that you're guessing is this Grell person, I've already met them all. We're all pretty easy to get along with, from what I've learned. Though you should know that Tsuzuki and I are, strangely enough, shinki.

[ You see why it's strange, right Willy? A reaper being killed and still showing up in a kind of afterlife. ]

[ He frowns, obviously still not understanding how that whole thing works. ]

Honestly, the entire concept of a reaper becoming a shinki makes no sense, whatsoever. We're you even aware of what you were when you first arrived then, or did you somehow discover it?

[ She hasn't figured it out, and that's still a point of confusion for her. Just based off of raw knowledge by itself, and asking others for their kind of experience with the subject. ]

I wasn't aware of being a reaper, no. Just that I wasn't anything more than a spirit, unlike some shinki who may be spirits now, but they were human. However I have a keen awareness and understanding of energy, so I asked Ronald and some others about themselves before figuring out a conclusion. You see, you're the only ones with energy even similar to mine.

[ Which was how she figured out Will's connection to the others from more than his eyes, glasses and accent. Except she wouldn't know if it was particular that she couldn't exactly associate herself with spirits that were human before. ]
