KINYOBI is open for business!
Who: Gojyo and anyone!
What: Drinking, fighting, insulting this disgusting bar...
When: Any time from August 9th through the end of August
Where: KINYOBI, in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan
Warnings: Please put warnings in the headers of your comments as they become relevant.
1. Friday nights at Friday's
Kinyobi is a small, dark bar, located on a street that was never nice, not even when the plant across town was open. This is an industrial area, and this used to be a blue-collar, industrial bar -- the floors are permanently sticky, there's dents and gouges and names carved in every wooden surface, the restroom is a horror movie, and the booze is either watered down or rotgut, depending on the day of the week and the mood of the bartender.
Still. It's home.
2. Shinki Sundays
Gojyo looks up when the bell on the door chimes, and smiles broadly at the newcomer. "Hey, come on in!" he calls. "You're shinki, right? Lemme see your mark."
3. Wildcard?
And some images to give an idea of what the inside of Kinyobi looks like:

Edit as of October 6th, in-game: there is now a bar dog.

So when the hottie in the tight top walks in, he's already sure that she's from the Far Shore, even before she opens her mouth. And had she been eager to show him her mark, he would have gladly sat back and enjoyed the show. But hesitation and uncertainty will never be his kinks, and he raises a hand to stop her train of thought in its tracks.
"As tempting as that offer is... if you say you're a shinki, I'll take your word for it."

"You're sure," she questioned carefully. It wasn't about being embarrassed or uncomfortable with showing her body. The rules of what was allowed in public and how people conducted themselves these days- With this and her playing catch up on all this technology, Hannah was positive that she was from a far earlier time. In fact, the shinki had no trouble airing this out to the bartender. "I'd simply show you, but I'm not sure what's considered appropriate in this time or setting."
Was it a shame that she wasn't flirting, so much as giving context?

Everyone's from a different world, more or less, but he's run into very few people who haven't been able to fit right in with the way things are, both in the Far Shore and out here in the mortal world. Cars, clothing, credit cards... most everyone seems to have already had at least some understanding. The ones who didn't, the one who must have come from worlds so strange he can't even imagine them... those are the ones he really feels sorry for.
They're all lost here, the shinki, but some are more lost than others.
"Keep your shirt on, honey," he chuckles, leaning in with both hands flat on the bar. "Taking it off in public is like an invitation, d'you follow?"

When you were as old as Hannah really was, it was a matter of understanding the new era's trends and 'rules.'
"I follow that you're quite a gentleman," she said with an easy smile, approaching the bar at a deliberately casual pace. It really would be tricky to see the very tip of the shinki brand given how she was shaped exactly, especially with how she started to lean against the bar. "Invitation or not, you had the opening to insist on seeing the mark in some manner, even if through a photo. To be clear, I wasn't testing you, but it certainly speaks about your character."
At least she's being straight-forward about this information. As easy to share her intentions as she was to share sights that some would consider intimate or private. "My name is Hannah."

But this Gojyo, a Gojyo without any memories of his former life, all he knows is that Hannah still has a lot to learn about the world she's found herself in. Carefully maintaining eye contact -- his gaze won't drop below her shoulders once, not unless he's looking at her drink -- he ducks his head and grins, a bit abashed. He's a lot of things, he knows, but a gentleman isn't one of them.
"I'm Gojyo." She probably won't recognize any of the drinks on the wall behind him, will she? He reaches below the bar and pulls out a glass, setting it on the counter in front of her. "What're you in the mood for, Hannah? Something sweet? Something strong?"
What? He can't help being a little flirty, she's hot!

Humming in thought, she looked over the bottles on the shelves- Most of it wasn't familiar, especially the labels, but she knew what some of the types were.
"Perhaps something with a sweet base," she started, seemingly following with the 'game' that was being started. It was all innocent right now, after all. "But far stronger than you would expect. Nice on the lips and taste buds, but might hit you rather hard later on if you're not careful"
