[Open] Let's just live
Who: Hitsugaya and YOU
What: Red lilies, soccer, training, and shenanigans.
When: August 11-18
Where: Both shores and wherever else
Warnings: None at the moment
[A. The Red Lilies Speak]
[There are red lilies that seem to have appeared near the canals, plenty of them to catch Toushirou’s attention from where he was busy soaring through the skies. It eventually stands out to him enough that he drops down beside them.
Anyone walking nearby might cross paths with him as he inspects the lilies, but it’s also not hard to miss the way his expression changes to one of discomfort as if he’s hearing something no one can’t.
It seems to be enough to have him look somewhat troubled, if not pained.
However, the expression turns blank when he hears someone approaching and looks over at them.]
[B. Chase the Stars]
[Surprise, surprise.
Anyone who happens to explore the Near Shore today may be surprised to find a certain god playing soccer with a group of young teenagers (or kids). It’s a good day for sports, after all, and even Toushirou will admit that.
Feel free to watch or join in somehow.
Because when the game ends (more will come), Toushirou will walk off a bit to the side and give any watchers a look.]
…What?
[C. A Dream of A Dream, Evenings]
[It’s night, probably around the time where people might be sleeping, but Toushirou definitely isn’t.
Instead, if anyone happens to look up at the sky, there’s an ice dragon that appears, glistening in the moonlight. However, blink and it’s gone, pieces of ice falling from the air and downwards.
Standing below where the dragon appeared is Toushirou, whose eyes were fixated above him before he holds out his sword to the side, the blade beginning to emit faint wisps of cold air.]
[D. Practicing Some Magic - Closed to Tsuzuki]
You want to practice magic.
[His tone seems to hold some sort of something there, but he doesn’t look much reluctant as he looks at the shinki.]
On what exactly?
[E. Sneaky Nights - Closed to Botan]
[If there’s one thing that’s initially hard to do with Toushirou, it’s sneaking into somewhere he would currently call a home. So, upon sensing a familiar spiritual energy in his temple, Toushirou follows it and sighs softly when he notices Botan.
He crosses his arms, a hint of a frown on his face.]
You could at least check in with me first.
[F. A Game of Tag - Closed to Goten]
[It was a game of tag.
Toushirou, for once, suggested such a thing to Goten after the young shinki but with a few rules: they have to hide their energy from each other and are allowed to use their own powers.
It was more of a game of hide and seek, really, since the chosen location for the game was the forest at the base of Toushirou’s temple. Regardless, he does keep his own end as he keeps his senses out for the shinki.]
Come on, Goten. Don’t lose this early in the game.

Which is why he was on the Near Shore, seeing a familiar enough person playing soccer with a bunch of kids.
For some reason, he couldn't help but sit at a bench, watching and being careful not to lean on the arm that was still in its sling. (The last thing he needed was to ruin it right before Hakkai's prescribed time was finished.) He doesn't really move when given that look and question, either. ]
Nothing much, really. Guess I'm just kinda jealous, but that's cuz I'm realizing more of my limitations. Nothing that's your fault.
no subject
But he recognizes this person as the same man who's given him information the first time they've met. There's a curious look at his arm, but then he looks back at Shizuo.]
Your limitations?
[That's interesting.]
What happened with your arm?
no subject
[ Then, with the same kind of honest tone, he answers the other question without much hesitation. ]
I goaded some people with enough strength to dislocate my shoulder, for a reason that didn't actually pan out.

Yet the whole image certainly ends up looking like she's giving the captain a reproachful look. No, she's just a little tired. ]
It was late, so I didn't want to risk disturbing you or anyone else.
[ Which is why she let herself in. Without using the door or anything. Then again, it's not so different for spirits in the physical world, now was it? She just took advantage of an ability she was aware of having. ]

[There's some concern as to how she's gotten in since nothing seems to have been unlocked.
At the same time, while he did offer the young reaper solace in his own temple, he wonders just how bad it is that she's finally taken up his offer to come over to be able to sleep.]

[ Then again, it was very much between Botan and Grell as to how this naming thing had happened in the first place. For now, at least.
Until the thread actually gets to that point, that is.]Ever since Grell brought back one of those lilies, she's been acting more unhinged than usual. I was going to ask William for some insight tomorrow, after some rest.
[ She's actually quite tired. To the point where her body was getting ready to push for that long, recovering, sleep that Botan had described to Hitsugaya a while ago. Luckily, it's only happened once before since the god had done his restoration thing. At the same time, Botan's just tired in general, from all of the changes. ]

He doesn't want to lose either. He does his best to relax and absently even hold his breath when the god gets closer as if that would somehow help. There's a lot of cover in the tree so he shouldn't be spotted even with his bright orange gi...right?]

They both know that if Goten makes a move, the shinigami will find him even more quickly, but the whole point of the exercise isn't really to see but rather to sense. As it is, Goten stands out like a beacon to him in his own senses, but he's playing fair enough to give him time to be able to find a way to conceal his own energy.
However, there's one problem with the child's bright clothing and the fact that it was easily noticeable from a distance.
He glances over in the direction Goten is in, soon disappearing from the shinki's sight.]

[Wards, he thinks, he can probably handle. That guy with the ears had verified that Tsuzuki's memory of how to write out the spell was accurate, and if he can figure out what he knows well enough to make them reliable, they're probably the best way to keep Sakura safe. He smiles, a little sheepishly.]
Maybe summons if I can get the wards to work!
no subject
[But, and here he raises an eyebrow.]
So what exactly do you want me to do? [Because he doesn't do wards despite possibly being familiar with them.]
no subject
The real answer is, "if I do something really wrong, make sure nobody gets hurt," but he doesn't think he's actually likely to blow anything up or summon a giant demon from the underworld.
He's just inexplicably afraid, too much so to dare trying it on his own until he knows for a fact it'll work properly.]
Um, you could... test them? Once I cast them, to see if they're strong?
[... But that's too embarrassing to admit.]

[Kirie just smirks at him, clearly teasing. She thought he had a different expression but maybe she was just seeing things? Stone-faced Hitsugaya as usual. Though the lilies do draw her attention]
Then again, I don't think anyone could just walk past these without a second look. So I guess I can't blame you. Red is the best color.
no subject
[Really, he prefers teal for several reasons. And the red makes him think too much of blood.]
But these really do stand out too much.
no subject
[Maybe light blue to be exact. Ice powers and what not and going off his typical clothing.]
Maybe but they're really pretty.
[She walks over, reaching out to a flower curiously]
Don't tell me you're bothered by a flower.

C, probably the 13th-14th (because i just remembered a thing)
The ice dragon, though, is easy mode even by those standards.
Shun has his suspicions as to who it might be before he even gets there, and when he does, he's not surprised to see Hitsugaya. He does, however, look a bit thoughtful, because there's something he's been wondering about for a while now, and it's just occurred to him Hitsugaya might be able to help.]
I think you're the first person I've seen here with power like that who bothers to practice at night instead of in broad daylight.
(oh?)
It's easier to practice at night. Besides, evenings are usually quiet enough to train.
[And using his own personal training area doesn't mean he wants to spend his entire time in a frozen cave.
However, his blade returns to normal as he shifts to look at Shun properly.]
(mysterious finger wiggle)
You seem to have access to a lot of different kinds of magic, or spiritual abilities, or whatever you'd call them. Is there a way to sense something like that in people, or objects?
[It's been on his mind for a little while now, but Hitsugaya's the only particularly obvious option that's presented itself to that end.]

Prayer #52; Closed to Goten
I wish I was able to fly in the sky, too, but it’s terrifying.
I don’t know what to do anymore.
It was a simple enough prayer, one that eerily reminded him of the prayer he had answered on Forseti’s behalf to help stop the ayakashi that forced that young man into an accident. However, for one to reach Toushirou in that regard, it struck his curiosity enough to answer it.
Really, Toushirou could have easily taken Yosuke with him to answer the prayer; his shinki needed more experience in the field, but there is one other person he knew he could depend on and would be eager for something like this.
It’s for that reason that he sets out to find Goten himself this time, mindful not to intrude too much on Forseti’s ground and releasing his reiatsu enough for the other shinki to sense him.]

Landing just in front of Hitsugaya, he grins up at him almost proudly because;]
I knew I felt you nearby!

[Have a slight smile.
He'll refrain from doing anything to burst his bubble.]

A! (feel free not to match format)
Relaxing on his back, he looked up to see what could only be a god dropping to the ground, and curious, he decided he may as well go say hello. He didn't think he'd met whomever this was, as yet.
the god's expression seemed a bit discomforted the closer Viktor got, though, and he found himself wanting to cheer him up. What sort of person was made sad by the sight of lilies?
"Hello! Is there anything I can help you with?"
Because, well, he was a shinki and helping was sort of his job. Plus, he wanted this god to feel better!
no subject
"...No, I'm fine."
But he finds himself still drawn to the lilies, glancing at it. There doesn't seem to be anything about it that particularly stands out, but he can still hear the whispers - the way it causes Toushirou's own heart to twist. His hand slowly forms into a fist.
Dream of A Dream, Evenings - Aug 15 night / morning Aug 16
Still very freaked out, he wanders around until he finds the young man below where all the ice shards fall.]
Hey, you there - did you see that dragon just now?
[His hands are shaking.]
no subject
[He reaches out, catching one of the ice shards.]
I did. [But he looks over at him, eyebrows furrowing a bit when he notices his hands shaking.] What's the matter?
