What: Yona has decided this is the month she's going to learn more about this strange world she's been brought to.

A. The Near Shore

[ With most of the excitement over the past few weeks, Yona's in the mood for some distracting, something to keep her busy, or something she can engage in with the new companions she's made in this place. The biggest priority here is understanding more about this world she's found herself in and so she makes several trips down to the mortal world with the intent of exploring and learning more about it.

The place is full of wonders and she's often easily distracted as she wanders, whether it's by some strange new type of food that might catches her attention or a colorful storefront that draws her over to peruse strange wares. The first time she discovers an open market fills her with delight, because this is at least a little more familiar to how commerce is dealt in her world, but then she discovers a grocery store and her mind is blown all over again. She might loose several hours wandering through a bookstore, filled with more tomes than she's ever seen in one place. A colorful candyshop has her stopping to pick out gifts to take back home to her friends, picking out a strange and varied sample, all of them ones she'd never heard of before, but look fantastic all the same.

But as fascinating as it is, it's also a little overwhelming, and all too easy to get turned around. Hopefully, she can manage to not get too lost, or at the very least find someone to point her in the right direction, if she does... ]

B. The Far Shore/Aine's Temple

[ Things at her temple are often lively and filled with laughter. Any visitors are greeted with happy smiles, although on occasion, it's the temple's other residents that beat the gods and shinki to the greeting. Namely a mischievous pair of kittens who answer to the names of Eun and Min and enjoy getting into every bit of trouble they can find. Or perhaps it's one of the horses that make their home among the orchards, an intelligence in their gazes that speaks to much more than just a common animal and hints at fae bloodlines that come as part of Aine's heritage.

Or perhaps you've wandered by and there's a conspicuous lack of a greeting. A little wandering around might lead you to find the temple's goddess seated in the center of one of the gardens, eyes closed and her attention focused on.... something. Occasionally strange things will happen around her, such as a sudden gust of icy wind rushing outwards away from her or a shadowy outline of a bubble around her or a fiery claw slashing downwards, shattering a nearby rock in half before vanishing abruptly. Yona's only starting to understand what her magic can do and learning to master it is proving to be a challenge... ]

[ Yona just laughs at his answer and leans down to scratch the kitten behind the ears from where she seems content to sprawl at her feet. Shizuo was of the opinion that the pair of them only behaved when she was around and maybe he's right, but perhaps that could work to the advantage at the moment. ]

I do not, unfortunately. However, she looks like she's made herself comfortable for the moment if you want to try again?

[Lance raises an eyebrow.]

Huh! Would you look at that. Seems like she likes you best.

[He doesn't hesitate to start walking towards Yona, though, but he does keep a small distance when he gets closer.]

I'm Lance, by the way. Figure I should introduce myself before squatting down in front of you, heh...

Possibly because I spoil them the most. I get scolded about that a lot.

[ She laughs, looking not at all repentant about it either. ]

Hello, Lance, it is a pleasure to meet you. I'm Yona.

Yona. Well, you just have a way with cute names, don't you?

[Okay, now he'll squat down to reach out and pet the kitty.]

I don't think spoiling cats is a bad thing, personally. They're majestic and they deserve love~

Mmm, I'm fairly certain that my shinki are convinced they are little menaces, but that could be because they're all tall and the kittens keep trying to climb them.

[Lance laughs. He tries to keep it down so as not to spook Min, though.]

Hahaha! I wouldn't mind kittens climbing me any day. Thank god my cat doesn't try to climb me, though. She's waaaaaay too big.

[ She laughs at that, crossing her arms atop her knees and propping her chin atop them as she watches. ]

You have one as well?

[Gently batting at one of the kitten's paws, Lance looks up at Yona and grins.]

Yeah. Though I guess 'cat' is kind of understating it. She's a giant robot lion.

[Dude you can't just SAY that...]

[ She blinks in confusion for a moment, because she's not sure she has a frame of reference for that. ]

What is a robot? Although lions are very large! And very difficult to tame! That sounds very dangerous!

[...darnit! Lance sighs a little and scratches his cheek.]

Sorry, sorry. Um... robots are like... cell phones, but bigger and able to move?

[A good try.]

And she's bigger than a regular lion! Like... as big as a couple houses!

....Cell phones... that move?

[ Her mouth drops open at that, because... really? ]

Why do they move? What do they do? And a lion bigger than houses? Mercy, where do you keep it?

[Lance laughs, holding up his hands.]

She moves so I can fly her around and protect the universe. I keep her in my backyard. You could come see her sometime if you'd like.

I may take you up on that. If only because I have a hard time imagining this without seeing it.

[ She laughs in quiet awe, shaking her head. ]

She is a giant protector of your world then? At least that part is more familiar.

That's fine! It's kind of a hard thing to imagine, especially with no frame of reference.

[Ahhhh! Hearing Blue referred to like that makes Lance feel all warm and fuzzy.]

Yep! And there's four more like her. They all protect the universe together. It's really, really cool.
