Who: Shepard and Genos
What: A long overdue date
Where: Apparently it's a secret
When: March 30th
Warnings: None at all
It's been a long time coming but the day has finally arrived. The past week has simple been a whirlwind of tension and emotions running high and it may be over but Shepard still feels the effects of it like a weary fatigue that leaves her body just a little heavy and her determination flagging.
But no more. She had been the one to postpone again in the first place but now it was time to get up, move on, and kick herself back into gear. Standing in front of the mirror she turns and surveys her appearance in the slinky form fitting number that falls squarely in the category of little black dress. With a pair of heels and her face fully made up -- something she'd once described to Yamato as warpaint -- her look is complete.
She turns her wrist like she's done one too many times before only to realize her omnitool isn't there and then she looks up to the clock on the wall. He should be here anytime now.

He's not sure. Should he knock? Ring? For sure not yell. Eventually he decides on the most trusted way of communication, and he simply calls with his phone.
"I'm here." And almost right on time, amazing. He glances at the windows curiously.

The smirk is evident in her voice and she doesn't give him time to reply before she cuts the call and heads down. Not by the door and stairs but out that very same window. She alights down to the ground in the very form they first met and shape-shifts back again as she lands behind him, her heels sinking only slightly into the plush forest ground around them.
"I hope you didn't have any trouble getting here." The air is chill this time of year as it plays across her span of bare skin but she doesn't appear bothered at all.

"There isn't that much war-gods around, so I managed." There is even less named Morrigan, but shh.
Genos is dressed in his usual casual fashion. Which includes a sleeveless black shirt, with one skull print on a side and jeans with rather massive belt. No matter how much he claims of not having a style, he always winds up picking his wardrobe in some sort of rock, or punk shop.
"I allowed myself to take cue from your occupation and got us a pair of tickets for a certain place over at The Near Shore. " Or more likely desperately searched for promotions for some interesting spot. The most awkward thing being asking his own god for advice on 'dates' and such. He got an encouragement, but most of the advice he found online. "Unless you prefer a stroll around the Far Shore, it technically being heavens and all.

The fact that he admits he actually bothered to look into a proper date though? That gets her attention and her lips quirk up in a subtle smirk. "A day in paradise and it's only the first date? You work fast."
Moving to his side she loops an arm in his, whether he likes it or not. It'll be necessary for him to get them both to the same place after all. "But I'm curious to see what you've picked out. Something a little more down to earth is more my style." Oh yeah, she can just hear the old crew groaning at that one she muses with a chuckle to herself.

"I do believe it's not as firmly grounded, as you might hope for." Planes generally aren't very down to earth. Even if they're just part of exposition. "But there is a chance it will down to Earth just enough."
Now the problem is getting to the Near Shore. He knows directions well from the temple of his god, but from here?
"Where do we land, when traveling from here?"

When she smiles this time it's almost amiable. The whole thing was supposed to be a punishment but that didn't mean it had to be a bad time. "I'll have you know I'm a pretty good marksman. Give me an idea of where we're going and I should be able to get us there." Which is a far cry from her initial attempts at divine travel but he doesn't need to know that.

"Odaiba, Tokyo" He answers, fortunately he has good memory and remembers most of the directions without checking for details, saved on his trusty flip phone. "Somewhere nearby Tokyo Teleport station would be absolute best."
He's still kinda stiff, which is how he usually hides his awkwardness. Better to seem overly serious than lost.
feel free to pm me if you'd rather just hash this out over plurk at this point lmao
In all the comings and goings they've done, who wouldn't know of the artificial island oasis with it's it's amusement park attractions and distinctive tv building. In fact, that's exactly she has in mind as she tightens her grip and makes the jump.
Okay, so maybe she'd been aiming for the base of the building but standing on top of it does have a nice effect.
"Alright! What am I looking for?"
haha sure thing I'll poke you about it :D
Not being afraid of height he has no qualms about looking down. But, right, the question. He quickly locates their destination, and so he points south, at the building of National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
"Right at that." he declares looking very proud of himself. "I can get us down" He should handle 25 floors, yes.

"The shiny one, right?" She points out rather eloquently and moves to stand behind him. Heights? This was nothing compared to a space walk or twelve.
Still she slides closer to Genos. It sounded like an invitation after all and she doesn't hesitate to fix her arms firmly around him. "So I guess I should hold on tight." Yeah, that's a smirk.
