In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

On the contrary, they took it blindingly well! Poor blighter was saddled with more'n enough pictures that he knew what to do with.

[ Look if gods can feel dehydrated... but he does grin back in greeting. ]

Taking a bit of a break, really. How're you carrying on?

Oh yeah? Well, in that case, lucky him.

[Tsuzuki chuckles, settling down next to the two, and offers Ron's redheaded companion a friendly nod.]

I think it's just about time for a break. [He pauses, and nods at the water bottle Ron's got, still apparently unopened.] -- Need a hand?

[... and, a second after the offer escapes to hang awkwardly in the air between them, Tsuzuki blanches. He really didn't mean it like that.

Whoops.]

Um! I mean, you know --

[untodeath]

[ Grell will be the first to break that silence, a sound of amusement slipping past grinning teeth. ]

Ronald may say he's all right, but you should be certain to tell him that you know better!

[ Because, you know, he's only got a left arm left to him, now. Ba-dum-tss.

Crossing her legs at the knees, she regards Tsuzuki with a wink. ]

Bloody sod off!

[ And he elbows Grell for that pun because DAMN that's terrible! But he's actually laughing, lightly clapping Tsuzuki on the back with a shake of his head. ]

No harm done, mate. M'not too sore about the arm but yeah... that'd be appreciated.

[ Cue sheepish sad little smile as he hands the bottle over. He can't help but remember the time a sweet boy opened his bottle... ]

Sorry-- [Tsuzuki shoots Grell a disbelieving look.]

That was awful.

[...but he's glad Ron's not too offended, and he's setting down his own water bottle to crack open the lid on Ron's and hand it back over. The smile on the other man's face is sad, much sadder than Tsuzuki'd expected, and his own expression goes from disbelief to concern as he returns the open water bottle. He won't ask in front of Ron's other friend, but.

Is he okay? Because he doesn't look okay.

Tsuzuki glances back at Grell, instead, offering a smile.]

So, I don't think we've met...?

[untodeath]

[ Getting an elbow only gets her to giggle, a palm lightly pressed over her sore side! Once Tsuzuki's attention is on her, though, she'll reach that hand out to him, instead, with a bat of the lashes. ]

Grell Sutcliffe, darling. Have you and Ronald previously been acquainted?

[diehardreaper]

[ That does get his attention and he's practically jerking straighter as if his attention was called. Less sad, back to his usual manner as if it was but a fleeting thought. ]

Ah, yeah! Tsuzuki's a friend. Asato Tsuzuki, he is. Been here twice, actually... sort of like Mister Spears was but in reverse.

[sweetdeath]

Meaning I used to be a god.

[He offers the two of them, more or less equally, a friendly smile. (A bit more to Ron, who still looks like he needs it; a bit less to Grell, who he doesn't know all that well yet.)]

Not that I remember any of that. But there's even a kid here who used to be my shinki...

[untodeath]

Oh? That's unfortunate.

[ Considering his situation, Grell's gaze briefly ventures wayward. ]

I've not met anyone like you before, then! How interesting! [ Gaze shifting to glance over at Tsuzuki, she manages a more pleasant smile for him. ] Pleasure, Tsuzuki.

Yeah. Wasn't too sure if it'd be alright telling him but he's been here before. All things considered, he came back to us in one piece.

[ Which is why he's half hoping to see a certain someone else come back... but no, he can't let that get him down! ]

How're you carrying on though, Tsuzuki? Everything alright with you'n yours?

It's nice meeting you too, uh -- [Miss, right? She's got the long hair, the makeup, the nails, just because she's kind of tall and flat-chested doesn't mean she's a guy and he's pretty sure if he gets that wrong he's gonna get slapped, so!

Miss Grell. Things've been pretty quiet over at Sakura's place. She misplaced her hairpin for a bit, but we tracked it down, and I've been getting along okay with the futon beater.
