In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Morality and justice can take as many forms and interpretations as truth, sir.

[ It wasn't an argument, but a simple statement. While she wasn't done speaking, it said plenty about how much of a demon's personality was in their nature, noting the wiggle room in certain terms. That and doing so while speaking the truth without arguing for or against a particular decision. Going into a slower, deeper bow, the woman keeps her head down. ]

However, I will uphold your order as you would choose it to be. If it turns to not meet your standards, then I'll take whatever form of correction you would choose.

[ So, the mentality of a demon was still there. Finding cracks and loopholes to make themselves appear trustworthy. ]

Yes. You will be. And I will make no hesitation to correct you if you fail to follow my instructions the way I intend them to be followed.

[ The others he'd spoken to here had almost convinced him that this new 'job' of his would be far easier. That he could almost look at it as a well deserved vacation...

[ At least she's shown to be up-front about this whole situation, instead of snaking around it quietly. In fact, as if aware of his opinion of her (it was written all over his face,) Hannah kept her head and shoulders bowed downwards. ]

By your command, sir.

[ Of course, he'd have to be in a position to give commands. Luckily for William, this isn't the same as a demon's contract- only one of them would wear a mark. ]

You just need to give my regalia name first, then I'll officially be bound to you.

[ William couldn't help the foul taste in his mouth at the idea of being 'bound' to a demon. But this would be the simplest way to keep an eye on the demon and make sure she didn't go causing him, and others, more trouble than they already had to deal with with the ayakashi.

He has to think a moment. What name will he chose to give her? Something that shows her his true thoughts on her, but also shows any others what her hidden attributes are. Japanese is still rather foreign to him, as his speech seemed to merely translate itself as he spoke, but he found a suitable word quite quickly. ]

I am William T. Spears. [ He begins, somehow knowing the incantation without being told it previously. ] Grasping your true name, I bind you here. With borrowed name, I dub youmy servant. The name answers, the vessel to sound. I call you as my divine instrument. The name, Hannah Annafellows. The vessel, Gi. Come, Giki!

[ Right before the incantation was finished, as the symbol for Gi hovered in the air between them, there was the slightest of furrowing of the woman's brows. She had a passing understanding of the language, and if William's opinion of her wasn't clear enough before, this certainly put the nail in the coffin.

Still, the mark in the air moved and faded in the air as it went to settle underneath the clothes, right on her chest, before she turned into a bright light to form at the reaper's hand. The shape of a sword, which had the appearance of bladed branches forming into a point and a teal color, mimicking a particular weapon. Which, even if he was unaware of it before, Hannah's final moments would give a little more context to as he received that as well.

Pulling the blade (the same that Hannah formed,) out of another demon, who was clearly dead, and peacefully laying against him and the blade as a whirlpool took them both. "The four of us will share a great love" coming from her lips before the waters crashed down. Of course, being from Hannah's part, even William will be able to hear the voices of two children being together, happy and never lonely again, with both Hannah and Claude. ]

[ William couldn't possibly imagine what form this demon woman would take, or whether or not he would be able to get himself to become comfortable with the idea of working along side her. But the incantation was done and, at least for now, their partnership was set. Though, he had to admit, a sword was not something he would have guessed, if he'd had to place bets on it.

There's a brief moment of confusion and contemplation as the blade completely forms and settles itself into his hand. But it's only a second before the images of Hannah's final moments flip through William's mind. It's almost no different than the countless cinematic records he'd been forced to view over the past century, so he doesn't bat an eye at the concept of watching someone's death. The context, however, does little to help clear things up for him.

Had she slain a fellow demon with this sword? And those children's voices...it sounded almost as if they were pleased with the fate that this woman had brought upon them.

But there was no way that made any ounce of sense. William stood there, looking the blade over before he finally spoke. ]

An odd form to take.

[ Hannah had been considered strange ever since she took one of those children in, especially among the demons. Though that was because she showed the capability of love, which was seen as a strange obsession. Even if William carefully analyzed the scene he'd seen, it would probably be impossible for him to get the answers he wanted.

Now came the part that would probably be the worst for William. The fact that he had to experience her voice in his mind, though she was just a sword in his hand. A demon sword from a demon shinki. ]

It isn't the most standard of sword builds, this is true, sir. This should serve the purposes of handling ayakashi as described in the brochure, however.

[ There is, most certainly, a flinch as he hears Hannah's voice without seeing her speak. It's uncomfortable, but that will just have to be another thing he's forced to endure if he is to work along side this woman. ]

I have no experience with one, but I assume it cannot be that difficult to wield.

[ At least in terms of technique. There would be difficulty with other aspects, of course. ]

And you were given a second power, yes? Are you aware of what that is?

I'm sure I can help guide your hand. For now, hold it in a way that feels comfortable and secure, even if it requires both your hands for that. You'll likely adjust over time.

[ Though it would require William to allow that, instead of fighting the urge to keep control on the entire situation. For now, she can only provide advice without having anything to refer back to on that knowledge. ]

If I was given such a thing, it probably hadn't been created until you named me, sir. We'll have to figure that out over time. Most likely as my vessel form is used against opponents in the future.
