In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[There's a soft laugh at the moment of confusion, but Maria's eyes light up when Honoka gets to explaining what she actually means.]

Ah, so you were on your way to becoming a professional. We don't have audition days - simply performing for myself or Barry to get a good gauge of your skill is enough to join. And the studio is open most days, so it's really not hard to find the time for that. We could even do it later today.

Alright! Once I'm all settled in I'll come find you guys and I'll totally blow you away!

[ She's not lacking in confidence, at least. Whether that's a good thing or not is entirely up for those of you playing along at home to decide. ]

Whereabouts are you guys, anyway? I have pretty much no idea where anything is, but if you lemme know where I can find you, I'll work something out!

I look forward to it. [And Maria sounds entirely genuine about that. Confidence is a good thing to have as long as she can live up to it, and honestly, no performer here could be more overconfident than Hibiki, so Maria's used to it.

At the question, Maria seems to have a sudden realisation before pulling out her phone.] Of course, I can text you the location. What's your title as a god?

[She'll never understand why the contacts list on their phones uses god names, but here they are.]

Oh, duh! Yeah, that'd be way easier than me trying to remember all the directions!

[ honoka don't be so... honest about that... ]

I'm Ame-no-Uzume-No-Mikoto! So if it's in alphabetical order, I should be right up at the top.

[declamando]

[The bluntness of it just makes Maria laugh, and she tracks down the listing without much issue.]

Yes, it's right here. And I think that's the longest god name I've seen here so far. I've even had people call mine long.

[After a few moments, Honoka's phone should light up with a message, listed as from Nuada Airgetlám.]

[korekara]

Alright then! Once I know what me and Neku-kun are doing, I'll come right on over and see you guys! Oh -- and you can just call me Honoka, by the way! I'm Honoka Kousaka and--

[ she looks down at her phone and then just... squints. tilts her head a little. ]

And, uh... how... h--how do you say this, exactly? Airgat... no, uh... Arr-get...

[declamando]

I'll look forward to it. [And thankfully, all Honoka tripping up on her god name gets is a gentle laugh. It's not the first time something like this has happened.]

It's Airgetlám, but my real name is Maria Cadenzavna Eve. Just Maria is fine. [Since her real name really isn't much better than her god one length-wise.]

[korekara]

Right, right! I'll uh-- I'll just stick with Maria-san, I guess.

[ Because if you think Honoka is going to be able to pronounce any of those names then think again. ]

Man, do all gods really gotta come with crazy complicated names or what?

[declamando]

Most people do. My name is a bit unwieldy for even the most polite of people. [At least she's understanding about it, almost to the point of amusement. It's really no issue to her what name people choose to use.]

Not all of them, thankfully. Names with more than one word seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

[korekara]

I guess it's a good job everyone still remembers their real names then... seriously, no offence! But there's no way in heck I'd ever be able to say, uh...

[ ... she just gestures to her phone. you get it, Maria. ]

And hey, can you imagine how long it'd take to introduce yourself to everyone if you had to give the crazy long name every single time you did it? It'd be impossible!

[declamando]

[Maria just laughs softly at the gesture. It doesn't seem as difficult to her, but that's probably just because both her real name and her god name are so long. Any issues she may have once had have long worn off by now.]

Well, I usually give both to start just so people know who to look out for. The texting and BBS system here uses our god names, so it can get a bit confusing if you never found out someone's god title.

[So Honoka may be doomed to using her incredibly long title at least some of the time.]
