In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[Naoto chuckles softly at Chikusa's response and overall lack of head movement. He must be wiped, but that still doesn't mean his severe lack of energy isn't at least a little bit funny.]

Ah, so someone roped you into something a little more grueling that you anticipated?

People in general are grueling. [Chikusa "huge pessimist and people hater" Kakimoto.] I just wanted to practice spells...

[Naoto raises an eyebrow while she grins at Chikusa knowingly. His attitude comes as no real surprise to her.]

I'm surprised you let someone talk you into the more physical training then.

People....

[And then he falls silent, not really saying anything else for few moments. gdi chikusa]

They always make unexpected things happen.

[Naoto unscrews the cap of the water she brought with her. The small, amused grin still on her lips.]

They are certainly capable of surprises from time to time.

Was this person a friend of yours?

Ah.....

[His gaze drifts off a little bit.]

....A lot of people here will say that they're your friend.... and apparently just make the decision yourself. So...

So... not a friend then? An acquaintance? Or was it a random stranger who somehow managed to rope you into physical exercise you would have otherwise passed on?

[She cocks an eyebrow. A bemused grin still on her lips as she watches Chikusa clearly wrestling with his thoughts and word choice.]

Acquaintance.... probably.

They must be quite the persuasive acquaintance then. I can't imagine you would simply go along with grueling exercise for just anyone.

[Naoto's trying really hard to not overly enjoy herself here.]

[Naoto, you sadist. Chikusa makes a small noise that possibly is an attempt at words before actually doing it properly.]

People sweep you up in things.. It's so troublesome.

[She's just curious to see how long he's gonna be able to dance around using the word "friend." That's all. Really, Chikusa is doing it to himself. ;) ]

You've never struck me as someone who gets easily "swept up" into things. I hope you weren't coerced through any sort of unscrupulous methods.

Sometimes it's worth more effort to argue with people. Right?

[Naoto nods her head.]

Sure, people can be difficult to say no to. Usually though, they tend to have a more personal connection to you. The motivation being that one doesn't want to disappoint their acquaintance.

[She won't say the word "friend" until he does. >:D ]

[Never.]

...No, it's just annoying.

[Just barely, he moves his head so that he can squint at her.]

[And so the war of attrition continues. ;) ]

It's annoying to say no to them? Or it's annoying to disappoint them?

[A knowing smile crosses her lips, as he looks up at her.]

[If he could look more suspicious without wasting undue effort, Chikusa would.]

It's annoying to fight against it.
