In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

People can't get enough of me. They won't leave me alone. But if you wish to believe that my behavior is the problem, then that's on you.

[His mouth jerks a little as Niles steps closer, his shoulders growing stiff, and Garry wonders what he'd done in his life to deserve this.]

That's a questionable statement to make, considering you apparently can't get enough of me.

We just keep happening to run into one another.

[He smirks and steps closer again.]

And it's fun for me.

[Nope, that's it- Garry's hand rises up, fingers curling appropriately, and he tries to call out a borderline because hell no Niles.]

[Of course, it's not like he's a trained fighter or anything, so he's probably slow enough to be intercepted, if Niles gives that much of a shit.]

[deniles]

[Niles wants to create uncomfort. So, he quickly, as the border line tries to appear, blocks it with his own.

He's gotten better at this, making a sword appear to outright block his borderline.]

Aww. You tried.

[artificialrose]

Tch-

[A scowl crosses his face that his borderline is done in that easily- he really does need the practice.]

Really?

[deniles]

...No, that was pretty terrible. Mine is awful so yours being worse than mine? Is really sad.

[artificialrose]

[UuUUUUGH]

I'm still relatively a newcomer, so of course mine is going to need some work. What's really sad is harassing new shinki like that.

[deniles]

As am I. And if you can't handle it then either get better, or fall over and die.

[artificialrose]

Do you plan on doing anything about how much I apparently suck?

[deniles]

Why should I? You'll die if you can't keep up. It doesn't matter much to me.

[artificialrose]

Then quit wasting your breath on things you don't plan on fixing.

Then fix it yourself. I can't fix your terrible borderline, your terrible choice in clothes, and your terribly short life. Unless you're satisfied with that. Then I certainly can't fix your terrible attitude.

[And then Niles pulls a knife out.]

Although, if you want me to. I can. Close your eyes, it might hurt less.

[artificialrose]

[There's a lot he could say to all of that- and he's right about to if he's bristling is any indication- but then what the fuck that's a knife]

Why are you pulling that out!?

[deniles]

I'm helping you out. That's what you wanted, isn't it?

[He spins the knife in his hand.]

Be careful what you wish for.

[artificialrose]

I didn't wish for that! I just said if you weren't going to help then to be quiet!

[The appearance of the knife definitely has him leaning away- who the fuck just does that- but he's not... really backing down either. This is just to mess with him, right? He's not going to actually get shanked or something, right?]

[deniles]

And now I'm going to help! Aren't you lucky?

[He lets his knife spin again as he moves closer. He hasn't promised to cut him up, but there's still time.]

I'll just remove the unnecessary parts.

[artificialrose]

[Okay, nope nope nope- he takes a good few and fast steps back.]

I think I have to agree to what gets removed first!

[deniles]

Then pick. Your hair, your clothes, maybe an arm. Or... are you truly all talk and no action? How shameful.

[A slow step forward.]

[artificialrose]

What does my ARM have to do with anything!?

[what the fuck, niles]

[Needless to say, he's taking another long step backwards.]

[deniles]

Maybe if we remove it, you'll have a better chance at casting better borderlines.

[Due to being afraid.]

[artificialrose]

That is not how it works.

[Some of the fear is- not leaving, exactly, or being replaced, but starting to get an edge of anger to it.]

[deniles]

And how would you know? You can't even do one.

[Another step closer.]

[artificialrose]

You mean you harassed me before I could do one.

[Fuming and finally just done with it, he takes a long step forward himself that gets him right into Niles' space.]

[deniles]

You're full of excuses.

[He steps even closer to him so they're nearly touching.]

Just do one and quit trying to defend why you can't.
