What: Cardia was taking her dog for a walk but he wandered off.


A- Sisi

[It's a lovely day out and Cardia had taken Sisi for walkies in the park. Because that's something dogs enjoy, right? And he did enjoy it, but now it's time to broaden his horizons and explore a little. And maybe get some attention. From you. You look like you aren't doing anything important. Probably. But what could be more important than petting a cute dog? A cute dog with a little top hat. And a strange artificial limb which seems to move just as well as the real thing.

He's looking up at you expectantly. Well? Make with the pets.]


B- Cardia

[Or maybe you find Cardia wandering around the park, clearly searching for someone. Or something. Maybe she should invest in a leash.]

Sisi? Where are you?

Hm, hello there, little guy.

[The artificial limb gets more of a curious look as Izumo crouches down to give him ear scratches.]

[The limb is well made and moves very naturally. But it's a strange mix of high tech and old fashioned.

Sisi sniffs at him curiously and then tilts his head to give better access. Ah~ ear scratches. Truly it is a good day to be a dog.]

Where's your owner?

[After a curious tilt of his head, the dog trots off. Obviously the clever pooch is going to find his owner and-

Nope. No, he's coming right back with a stick in his mouth. Because throwing the stick for him will be a great time for everyone involved.]

[The answer is that absolutely nothing could be as important as petting a cute dog with a little top hat. Tsuzuki looks enthralled for about two surprised seconds before he promptly drops down to his knees to give Sisi a proper ear-rub and shoulder scritch.]

What a good boy! What's your name, huh? Did you wander away from somebody?

[He'll just check to see if he's got a collar or tag anywhere....]

[Perfect. Someone who understands. He is a good boy. His stubby little tail twitches happily as he stretches into the shoulder scritch.

No, instead of something useful like a tag, someone decided to give him a cute little bow tie.]

[That's a cute bow tie, but Tsuzuki's not going to get any names or phone numbers off it, is he?

The artificial leg looks a lot more distinctive. He holds out a hand, wondering if the dog's learned this trick, and suggests:]

[Who knows -- maybe if he sees the paw better he'll recognize something about it!

Or at least be able to snap some phone pictures for a lost dog poster.]

[Oh! Yes, he knows that one. Sisi obligingly holds up the metal paw. And waits. Expectantly.

Now comes praise, yes? Perhaps even a treat!]

A (is for absolutely no self-restraint)

[ On his self-directed walk, Sisi will encounter a new friend about his height! It isn't a particularly talkative friend, but it does seem to be headed somewhere at a fairly decent clip. Making an interesting whirring sound.

Is Sisi the kind of dog who enjoys chasing toys? Here is a stuffed goat! ]

Or maybe it's for awesome.

[Whirring sound? Oh that is definitely suspicious. He'd better catch that and chew on it. Just in case. With a growl that he imagines is very terrifying, Sisi takes off after his new toy friend prey.]

[ The goat obliges by moving to one side in the hopes its pursuer will charge right past it. Or perhaps it thinks this will confuse the animal.

Either way, it doesn't seem especially worried. ]

[He does charge past it, skittering on the pavement as he wheels around to continue the chase. It is very important that this thing is caught. And then shaken vigorously side to side. Perhaps several times.

Will barking help? He'll try that.]

[Zoro had been jogging in the park when something small and furry called his attention. Huh.]

Where did you get a hat?

[He kneels down, and pets the dog behind the ears, and then on the back, because dogs like pets right?]

That's a cool arm you've got there by the way.

[Yes!! He will take all the pets! He doesn't even seem to notice the artificial limb though, possibly because it moves almost exactly the same as the real thing. It is definitely metal though, as will be discovered when Sisi decides he'd better jump up and try to lick his new friend's nose.

Because all dogs know that people just love it when dogs jump up at them excitedly, poking them with their forelegs. Right?]

[Zoro laughs as he pets the cute dog, he can't resist someone as adorable as this pup. He even lowers himself so that the puppy can lick his nose. What a precious little thing.]

You're excitable eh?

[Very. Especially considering he just made a new friend. Which reminds him....

Sisi suddenly trots a few yards away to pick up a stick. Because his new friend will obviously want to throw the stick for him. Possibly several times in a row.]

[Though Shun doesn't usually pay too much mind to the Far Shore residents he runs across on patrols besides noting their identities and potential threat level, the fact that this woman seems to have lost someone gets some level of his attention. After a brief look over to scan her up and down and get a general idea of her appearance and demeanour, Shun heads over, his tone typically brusque as he speaks.]

What are you looking for? [Sounds like a pet by the way she's calling its name, but it's hard to be sure.]

[The step back as he comes closer to her is automatic, her typical response to being approached by anyone she doesn't know. But he may be able to help her, so she answers him.]

Um, it's my dog. I don't suppose you've seen a corgi with a metal leg and a top hat?

[Because at the very least, Sisi is distinctive.]

[Taking the hint, Shun stops a good distance away from her. He prefers not to get too close to people himself, but this woman seems to be particularly averse to it, so he's not going to push it.

That description is definitely a memorable one, and while Shun does faintly raise a brow, he shakes his head.]

Not in the direction I came. [He points back over his shoulder.] It's probably gone the other way. How long ago did it run off?

[Let it never be said that Dust is too busy to give a lonely dog some attention. He kneels down, the better to properly bestow pets.]

What're you doing out here all on your own?

[Receiving praise and attention from total strangers.

Although Sisi declines to answer and instead just leans into the petting while his tail twitches happily. Walkies are great. He's making so many new friends.]

[Dust, despite appearing more animal than most humans do, doesn't expect an answer -- it just works out that talking to pets crosses species boundaries. At the same time as he gives a good ear scritch, Dust surreptitiously checks for a collar. Is someone missing this poor pooch?]

[Well, this seemed a familiar scene. In fact, it's downright deja vu as Naoto happens upon Cardia apparently searching for someone in the park.]

Hello, Cardia-san.

Who is it you're looking for?

Oh! Naoto...

[The sense of deja vu is mutual and Cardia at least has the grace to look embarrassed.]

It's my dog. He's run off somewhere and...

[A sigh.]

And I'm not very good at keeping track of things, am I?
