Prayer 48 | Closed
Who: Ronald and Niles
What: Prayer 48 - Ron being empathetic to the plight of overworked service workers and going into a prayer unarmed... asks a friend to lend a hand.
When: Belatedly backdated to sometime in early August
Where: Somewhere downtown in the business sector of Tokyo
[ If there's anyone who knew the pain of overtime, it was this reaper. He hated it. It was a waste of his free time, after all. So naturally, overhearing a social worker griping as he settled down in a bar one night was something that piqued his interest. It didn't seem like much at first, just ordinary post-shift griping... but something didn't sit right with him. Sure, he wasn't that kind of god but... he felt for these people. Call it a service from one office worker to another, after all.
So the next day found him slowly circling an office building. He had no plan; just to scope the place out for now. The only shinki he had on him was Noel. If he needed to fight, he'd find a way to make it work... or at least get a way to call for Kuroyuki before things got too dangerous. For now, reconnaissance. His hand moved up as he shielded his eyes from the sun. There's a blot out there... something he can't quite make out and it's on the roof.. ]
No bleeding wonder this thing's got a firm hold on this lot...

No bleeding wonder this thing's got a firm hold on this lot...

Still didn't stop him from thinking it.
He sighed, looking across the way to where the blot was.]
We should get closer.
[Even he can barely see, and if he can't see, he can't do something to distract it.]
no subject
[ He lets out a breath, hooking his thumb to his pants as he glances over with a small smirk. ]
Get through this in one piece'n dinner's on me, eh?
no subject
[They'll get through this alive.]
Alright, let's go. [He points towards a set of stairs that go to the roof.]
no subject
[ There's a grin back as he leaps, swinging himself up onto a higher flight of stairs. It's been a while since he's been out and about after all so he's... oddly excited. ]
Kuroyuki was a little out of it today. Haven't a shinki I can use to rend that.
no subject
[He starts to join him, jumping up and over the railing.]
Hm. Well, that's a bit of a problem, isn't it? Don't you need one to rend?
no subject
Yeah, prolly will... course, too early to tell! Could be easy enough to wear it out a bit and bring it to someone who can, we'll see.
no subject
[He's joking, of course. Although he is amused.]
Let me know when you need me to escape.
no subject
[ And a smirk back. Is he being honest or is he just teasing? Who knows? But he's pulling himself up again onto a higher ledge. ]
Push comes to shove, you wouldn't mind me naming you, would you?
no subject
[He pulls his phone out as he's climbing, and sends off a quick message.]
And then he'll probably call you to the temple and give you the business.
no subject
[ He's surprisingly nimble for a dude with one arm... but then, he's gotten used to moving around with it. ]
Just if push comes to shove, mind! Might not need to make arrangements if we're not in that much hot water.
no subject
[He laughs, following along behind him.]
I may as well warn him. Especially if you want to do more prayers.
no subject
[ Have a laugh back. Gosh these two are weird friends. ]
A heads up might be a good idea, yeah... least so he knows you'll be in capable hands. Figuratively speaking.
no subject
[But the best of friends. He checks his phone.]
He says it's okay, but if you want me permanently, you'll have to talk to him.
no subject
[ See this is why he asked you to come with him and not Hime, but he does nod back at the second bit. They can cross the bridge when they get there.
He pauses as he looks up at the ayakashi that's spotted them though. ]
....well... looks like the blighter's on to us. Are you ready?
no subject
[He is only teasing back, of course. With a smirk on his face, he looks towards the ayakashi.]
Let's go.
