When Two Nerds Collide
Who: Takuma Ichijou and Rei Ryuugazaki
What: Shinki naming
When: August 30
Where: A library somewhere in Tokyo
Summary: Takuma and his assigned god, Adonis finally meet for the first time. How will it go?! Will Rei feel like he is cursed with overenthusiastic blonds? Will Takuma's urge to pick on loud people overcome him? Stay tuned!
Takuma had been wandering around Tokyo without a place to really call home for a while. He had run into some interesting people at the training and even while he was exploring and getting familiarized with the nearshore. He had even come across a god in need and helped him! He had been acquainted with the internet and manga cafes. He had even commented on his first BBS post.
Now it was time for some more simplistic information gathering with good old fashioned reading. Takuma had some to discover his love of books. When he was in the manga cafe, he was in heaven, but there was more to literature than manga, though he put that at the top of his reading material list.
He was browsing the non-fiction area where informational books on Tokyo caught his interest. He idly wondered if his assigned god would show up soon.

It was only chance (or rather fate and destiny ) when Rei had had left his table covered with towers upon towers of books that covered every subject that dealt with extended amount of sleep, comas, dreams, feelings, and the lore of Adonis, to go seek a certain book in the nonfiction section that dealt with dream studies done in a Tokyo Lab.
At first it was the flash of the blonde hair that had caught Rei's interest but then came the memories-and not his memories, nor was it like that odd dream of his, but memories that were not his own. These memories... They were memories of someone else's life, and from what some of his research had suggested they were memories that could only belong to his very first shinki!
"Excuse me..... But are you perhaps named Ichijou Takuma?" Rei asked as he nervously approached his shinki, adjusting his red frames as he spoke.

These creatures, vampires, who were Takuma's kin, rejected the light. Takuma, on the other hand, enjoyed it. There were memories of slumbering vampires as the rays of the sun attempted to peek their way in through the curtains and cracks from the door and Takuma wide awake enjoying himself among the humans in their Day Class School Uniforms. He looking out of place in his own white Night Class Uniform.
Secrets. These memories were full of secrets that a Pureblood named Kaname Kuran had imparted to him through full confidence that he would keep them. Takuma fulfilled his promise to never share these dreadful secrets full of death, lineage, and darkness. What really happened to the beloved Kuran family and how cold blood took them. And how Kaname Kuran was The First--The Ancestor.
More secrets. His grandfather devising a plan. His grandfather wanting to use Takuma's closeness with the Purebloods to gain the Ichijou name even more power than it already had.
Feuds between the Pureblood Royalty and the Council Faction in which his grandfather held the highest position. Bloody politics.
Senri Shiki, a loyal friend and fellow Noble. Captured and possessed by his cruel pureblood father all by the hands of his own grandfather. This was the final straw.
Takuma confronting his grandfather for the last time. Kaname leaving the gruesome task to his most trusted best friend. To put an end to a corrupt man. Swords clashing at speeds incomprehensible to a human. A dark aura swirling around the room, things bursting into dust.
Then finally...pain. His heart had been cut out.
That's the end then, isn't it? It can't be helped... Everyone should be okay now. Rima will take care of Shiki. They will be all right.
Kaname...be careful...be happy...

He smiles a warm and polite smile to counter the boy's nervousness--to ease him.
"That's me! And who might you be?"
Lol! Way to overwhelm a god.
A undead creature of the night that lures their victims to their deaths with sweet words and hypnotic gazes and diamond skin! A creature that had so many horror films based on cruel things that they take delight in! Creatures that defy logic by any means! Even in the world where mere mortals could replace religious figures! It was almost too much too handle, and much more concerning then his own small problems, that's for certain!
Trying to keep a rather friendly and all together "in control of everything" smile on his face, Rei jerkily offered Takuma his hand in a business like manner. "Ah! I am Rei Ryugazaki- or as I figured out when I woke up- I am now the greek God Adonis! I believe that you are supposed to be Shinki! I hope that we can work together rather well!"
And please don't drink my blood? I am not sure just how good god blood will taste?!? Is it healthier? Cleaner? AAAaaah!!!all in a day's work. 1/3

"You have finally found me! I am so happy! I was wondering what kind of person you might be and here you are!
You're not really what I had in mind when I was researching Adonis but..."
Takuma looks him over and gives a solid nod.
"It's good to finally meet you all the same!"
Takuma takes his outstretched hand with both of his and pulls him into a hug before releasing him.
"I will do my best to be a good shinki for you!"
Re: 3/3
He is a very example of what it means to be Adonis! He keeps his body in great condition and even with his super long slumber his body didn't give up on him, and even went through the effort of running to the library! He is a perfect example of Adonis- a figure meant to be an shining example of male perfection! How dare you insult him with such dismissal! And- And a hug just won't do to soothe that bite of an insult! And Neither would that blinding smile! You have a bit to learn Mister RazzleDazzle!
"And I will try to be a good god for you, I'm sorry for being late to greeting you! I hope that you have been doing well in my absence? I see that you have been named by someone else," Rei answered as he took a step back, puffing out his chest with pride- trying to disproof Takuma and his assumption that he did not fit the image of his godly title.

"It's alright. There were a lot of things to do in the meantime and I met a bunch of people." The puffed-up chest filled with confidence did give him more of an Adonis-like appearance.
Takuma's long fingers ran themselves over the name that was on his neck. "Yes. I was helping out another god! We beat an ayakashi together, so if it's okay with you, I'd like to keep helping him out. The god is Satan!"
Takuma says this with a cheerful voice not even realizing that his vampiric nature and his affiliation with Satan go hand-in-hand. Though, he doesn't even know that he is a vampire.
"Was there a reason you hadn't found me before? What happened?"

...
...
...
And of course his vampire shinki had agreed to work with Satan. Somehow that doesn't even sound unusual, isn't it legend that vampires are natural servants for Satan anyways? Or was that just some fiction told?
Shaking his head in dismissal, Rei offered Takuma an embarrassed smile as he rubbed the back of his head and ruffle his already messy blue hair. "I don't mind, I think that it shows a great amount of team work actually! If there is something that I can fully understand is just how good it is to be a team player! When one is down it is help to someone else to lend a helping hand! As for my own absence I can only think it was some sort of long sleep! I don't even remember getting here!"

"You look healthy enough, though. Are you feeling okay even though you slept for such a long time?" There was a kindness in his eyes that truly showed worry for his god. It was the same kind of look he would give his friends in the memories when things were becoming dangerous. Even though he was a vampire, he had a good heart.

"Hahaha~ Never fear! No amount of beauty sleep will put me out of my game. I even ran from the station to the library. Before I was Adonis I used to be a co-captain of a swim team and even before that I was on the track team!"
no subject
"Ooh! You're quite the athlete then." he said with a smile and a nod, glad that his assigned god was doing just fine in spite of the long slumber. It was too bad that sports didn't interest him as much as literature did.
"So then...You have to name me now, right? I hope you're at least a little more creative than Satan was", he said gesturing to the name on his neck. The kanji, was in fact the kanji that was already a part of his name. It was just pronounced differently.
