The Soul of Hades
Who: Kiryuu Twins (Ichiru and Zero)
When: Few days after the Prayer Log.
What: Zero finds Cerberus and Ichiru sleeping under a tree, and it's adorable.
Where: The Far Shore
Warnings: The Twins are idiots
It's been awhile since Zero last took a long walk by himself. What with the amount of prayers that suddenly piled on his plate, he had little time to do anything else the last week. He was walking through the forest, his thoughts far away when he suddenly comes to a stop. He blinks. Once Twice. A third time. Yet, the image never changed. Sleeping under a tree was Ichiru, but even more surprisingly, was who exactly he was using as a pillow: Cerberus. The ten ft Hellhound was settled under the shade with its eyes closed as his brother slept on him.
For a moment, the Hunter is surprised but it soon fades. Moved by the simple scene, Zero settles down on the ground to watch over the pair as they take an afternoon nap. Anyone that may see him may find it strange to see a soft smile on Hades normally stoic features.

He was suffering a major migraine, while inside Hades Temple and didn't want to be caught looking paler than he usually did. Zero was unusually perceptive, even if the God didn't have any physical connection to him but it was probably because they were brothers-- twins even. Ichiru had more or less put that together after their initial prayer when Zero claimed that Ichiru was his brother.
So with that being said, he took a walk-- a really long walk away from prying eyes. Somehow along the way, he ran into Cerberus and the three headed guardian ended up moving about too much and Ichiru followed him to ensure that he wouldn't be too far away from the temple. At some point the hell hound stopped in the middle of the forest, and forcefully nudged Ichiru to rest. Whether it knew or felt what Ichiru was gong through, he didn't know. However, it was enough to make Ichiru give up since he basically loved the three headed creature.
The boy had finally given in and settled under the largest tree they could find and then without warning, he found solace sleeping on the dog. It was a place where no one venture and thus it was probably okay for him to show some kind of weakness-- weakness that he would dare not show anyone else. This was what Zero came upon on.

He shifted briefly in his sleep, and sometimes his brows would knit together.

The thought lingers in his head, as his eyes shift to him again. In the end, it didn't matter what he did, what he said. Zero would always love him. Even if he was hated, betrayed, his feelings wouldn't change. Ichiru was the world to him and here he would protect him. Cerberus felt the depth of his feelings for his brother and mimicked Hades direction. There was no mythological Persephone here, but Cerberus knew where Hades heart laid. Who it would do anything for and followed suit. Like Zero, Cerberus was protective of the young shinki, showing a subtle tenderness the Hellhound would never display toward anyone else aside from its master. It's why the Hellhound was content to let the shinki use him as a pillow, why he followed him around, why he sometimes followed the shinki out of the Underworld. Its heart reflected Hades' own.

Stomaching that was difficult for a long time. He had considered the thought a few times but he had never really settled on it and situations never really brought themselves known for him to really admit that he needed a god. Lately, it's been that case. He's been feeling really troubled by the fact that he struggled without a God and wasn't able to perform at 100% because he needed a partner.
He was also stubborn. He didn't want to admit it but deep down in his guts, he felt an attachment to Hades-- no Zero. There was something that kept him here. He didn't understand why but he knew that he chose the right place for himself. Whether he chose to be Zero's shinki or not, it didn't really matter. His brother had a shinki and for once, he was pretty fine with the shinki.
Ichiru really did love Cerberus without really understanding the hellhound was a reflection of his brother. How it seemed to be playfully shoving him here and there or not taking no for an answer. He's on multiple occasions been knocked down by the creature and he seemed to take it lying down. The hell hound definitely was a creature that he trusted. That's exactly why he was sleeping under a giant tree with the vined creature as his pillow. It was almost childish but no one was here to see this-- well from what he recalled before he slept.

As usual, it's return for that was a hard nudge and Ichiru is well pressed against the tree as he slowly pushes himself up.
"You haven't quite understand what 'no' means do you?" he muses slightly with a small chuckle. He pats some grass off of him before noticing something that stood out a good distance away from them. Oh--? What have we here? He almost had an amused expression on his face once he zeroed in on the person.
(no pun intended)."Hmm..." he hums slightly, making his way over, quietly of course.

In fact, he looked rather peaceful sleeping. Ichiru playfully put a finger to his lip and looked at Cerberus in telling the creature to remain a bit silent as he amused himself. Frankly. he still didn't understand a lot of things regarding Zero-- his brother, but he did know that there was some kind of attachment that he had towards the other. He didn't quite understand it but when Zero wasn't around it felt a bit different.
He was still angry about the forgotten memories, but he couldn't completely blame someone who didn't cause their on memories to disappear.

Ichiru was staring at Zero's sleeping face for a moment, trying to see if he could remember or recognize anything that would jog his memory. Of course, like anything, nothing triggered. He wondered if Zero was doing this on purpose, or that he knew that Ichiru held nothing malicious against Zero. In fact, he supposed he owed this individual more than he could express. He leaned closer for a moment, wondering if Zero really was out.

He still can't place it but it was very weird to see such a guarded person so relaxed. He looked away from his brother for a moment before staring at the book that was on his lap. Out of curiosity, he picked it up.
"The Republic of Plato...?"
He tilts his head briefly. At some point, the younger twin settles down next to his sleeping brother and probably flipped through a few pages of the book.

"......."
He opens his eyes, light orbs staring up his brother.
"... Ichiru?"
no subject
"I see you're finally awake."
He muses, letting the book fall to his lap.
"You shouldn't be sleeping so unguarded like that."

When did you wake up?

[ He replied. ]

But rather than asking that, his eyes shift to the book and his brows crease. ]
There's more books in the temple you know.
no subject
I know. I was curious on what kinds of books Zero reads on his spare time.
[ As an indication he's quite curious to know more about the brother he can't remember but in a roundabout way. ]
no subject
[ He's not quite sure what to make of that answer, usually when Ichiru was like this he was trying to be an ass. ]
It's assigned reading.
no subject
Assigned reading? How curious.
no subject
For the Hunter Association.
[ He keeps his eyes on him, waiting to see if there's a reaction to his words. ]
no subject
I feel like I should know what that means, but it escapes me. You read for hunting?
[ Anything tying him to his memories or his past seemed to be very muddled. He doesn't recall anything, he can't remember why he knows certain things. Small things like this were better off being dismissed. ]
no subject
For hunting and leading.

[ He tilts his head at Zero. It's kind of nice to have the other kind of tell him what things mean. ]
I see. It must be an interesting place.

Vampires.
no subject
I see, an organization such as that exists huh?
[ He chuckled. ]
It's ironic ne?
