This neighborhood is so loud at night that my baby keeps waking up. I wish there was something I could do, but the cops won't quiet things down. I'm just so tired!"

Like I said, I'll be fine! For some reason, I feel like I'd find you two even if you went far away. [Just a hunch, really.

But now that Yuto's in reach, Yuya reaches out with his rabbit-puppet clad hand to yank on his shirt to get him to kneel with him.]

You should say hi before you go. He might be teething, but I don't think Tommy will bite.

[He said that just in case-

Ah. Yuto makes a face when Yuya yanks his shirt, but he doesn't say anything. Instead he obediently kneels down close to his twin and looks at the small child with a deepening frown, as if someone just asked him a very difficult question.]

...Er, hi...? [He manages to say in the end.

Does this baby even know what he's saying??]

[If Yuto asked, Yuya would probably say it doesn't matter. Now "Ms. Daisy" has something to say.]

Oh dear, that's not how to say a proper hello! You have to smile so that the other person knows you're happy to see them. [The puppet crosses her arms while Yuya chimes in--] Yeah, Yuto, what she said!

[Apparently he's super into his puppet play.] Wouldn't it be better if Tommy grew up with happy memories of us?

[...Which is a big reason why Yuya is going all out. Small children can see them, and that's super important.]

[Yuto blinks and first looks at the puppet, then he looks at Yuya.] ...You're not embarrassed when doing that? [Having the puppet show in front of the baby is understandable, but why do you have to keep doing that when talking to him?

Yuto sighs then.] But fine. Fine... [He closes his eyes.] I'll try.

[He stays a moment like this with his eyes closed and taking a deep breath. Then when he opens his eyes again he tries very hard to smile, but, as expected, it comes out incredibly forced.]

No way. It's all good fun. [He's completely fine with acting like a clown.

.........Wow. That's...that's just sad. Yuya tries not to laugh outright at the forced smile, and his cheeks balloon at the effort.]

W-we should really practice on that... [Seriously. Smiling shouldn't be that hard.]

[Yuto's expression changes into a saddened frown. This isn't even funny, Yuya!]

It's not like I can't smile at all... [He says in his defense.] I just... How am I supposed to smile when you tell me to do it?

[Maybe there's something wrong with him and that's why smiling is so hard. He doesn't know. He doesn't remember.]

With practice! Or just think of something funny next time if you have to get yourself to smile. [Although that's kind of hard without memories...But that's something easy to fix:]

Think of funny faces, like this-- [Yuya rolls his eyes and fans his hands in hands in front of his face while wiggling his fingers.] Bwuh-wub-wub~

[Even if it's meant for Yuto, the baby seems to be getting a kick out of it too with all his giggling.]

I can't think of anything funny... [No memories and all.

Ah, but that face. It makes Yuto frown even more now. Good thing at least the baby has fun here.]

...I don't think this will work.

[If anything he's even more amazed that Yuya isn't embarrassed at all when he's acting like a clown.]

[Back to normal face, although Yuya starts to frown deeply with his voice mirroring Yuto's usual serious tone.]

This is a lot more serious than I thought. We can't let this go untreated. [Are they doctors now?]

[ridethathippo]

Then what about this-?! [The goofball suddenly reaches for his twin's ribs, ready to tickle the heck out of him for a smile.]

[darkduelist]

[He's just overly serious, not sick. You can't treat that.

But suddenly Yuya tickles him, forcing a small laugh out of Yuto. He quickly grabs his twin's hands to stop him from tickling him more.]

S-stop it!

[ridethathippo]

[Even with his hands trapped in Yuto's grip, Yuya still has a cheeky grin on as he wiggles his fingers.]

Heheh, looks like I found your weak spot.

[darkduelist]

[Another small laugh escapes his lips as tries to push Yuya's hands away.]

I-I told you to stop it!

[ridethathippo]

[Well, he better stop before Tommy ends up crying at all the loud voices, so Yuya finally raises his hands in surrender.]

Alright, alright. I'll stop. [But he'll keep a mental note of where Yuto's ticklish.] But I won't go easy on you next time!

[darkduelist]

[Ah, Yuto shouldn't have raised his voice, but how else was he supposed to make Yuya stop? He gives the baby an apologetic look, before he again looks at his twin. He's frowning now, obviously not happy with what Yuya has just said.]

No, Yuya. Don't do that again. [He sighs a little.] I know you mean well, but... I need time, I guess.

[Forcing him to laugh is not the way to go.]

[There's an awkward pause on Yuya's end as he takes in Yuto's comment, almost like he doesn't quite get it at first.] ...Oh. Right, sorry.

[His gaze darts away, first off to the side as his brow furrows then to the floor. Everywhere except Yuto while he mutters:] It's not a bad thing to laugh though.

[He's a little afraid of not laughing or smiling because he knows exactly where his thoughts will go. Maybe that's why Yuto's rejection rubs him the wrong way. But it's his twin's choice even though Yuya doesn't want him to be sad either.]

Anyways-- ['moving on'] you should probably get going before Vector gets grumpy.

[Seeing his twin sad makes Yuto frown even more. He isn't planning on taking his words back though. He really just needs some time and then he promises he'll smile and laugh and be happy... He hopes so at least.

A heavy sigh escapes his lips and then Yuto slowly wraps one arm around Yuya's shoulders to pull him in a half-hug.]

I'm sorry. [For making Yuya sad, for not being able to smile.

He lets go after a moment and stands up, then turns around to leave.]

I'll see you after we get rid of that noise.

[ridethathippo]

...It's okay. [His twin's gesture is very comforting, and Yuya leans into the embrace with a half-hearted smile. Yuto just needs time and then everything will be all better...He'll try to believe that.

So when Yuto gets up to leave, the red-head is quick to give him a wave (with the cow puppet still on his hand).]

[When Yuya waves, Yuto turns to look at him and only then he finally manages to smile. It's small and weak, but it's like a tiny proof that he wasn't lying when he said that he could smile.

Yuto gives his twin a nod and then he finally leaves to find Vector.]
