A) Fishing - Hakkai's School Courtyard

[It's a few days after first meeting Caster that the way the god was fishing is still bothering him. He doesn't understand how it would be more effective then just jumping in and chasing after the fish.

So he's trying out fishing at the pond in the back of courtyard at the school. He's already taken an accidental dive into the pond before and he knows there's something there. Maybe it's a big fish he can show off to Caster...if this fishing rod thing works.

The young shinki sits by duckweed covered pond, frowning in concentration as he ties some string to the bamboo stick. He doesn't remember everything the god had to do but he did remember the stick, string and he just needed some bait.]

I think that's how it was... what do fish like to eat?

B) Exploring - Various Temples

[With so many new gods appearing, there are more temples to explore too. But there always seem to be abandoned temples that appear as well since he never can seem to explore them all. Being as curious as he is, Goten flies down landing on roof tops and court yards alike.

He knows better then to randomly enter the building of a clearly occupied temple. He has manners! But that common sense doesn't expand to the outside of the temple even if they're gated by high walls and whatnot. He freely walks about, checking out the areas with little worry. Sometimes the outside of a temple gives hits to what kind of gods live there which...would be helpful if he knew anything about various gods.]

C) Training - Abandon Temples

[A bright flash of energy and Goten drops from the sky. Nimbus swoops over, easily catching the boy as he catches his breath. Goten wipes sweat from his face on the back of his sleeve as the yellow cloud bobs up and down a bit to make him smile.

He's been practicing for the last couple of hours but training by himself isn't as fun as fighting Hitsugaya or Izumo and Shizuo. He would usually track them down but Goten needs to figure out ways to get the upper-hand first. Because he practices with them so much he's starting to realize how predictable some of his attacks are. Even with being able to go blonde, Hitsugaya especially is difficult to fight because he's able to guess what Goten is going to do. He's too straightforward but how do you change that?

Goten frowns thoughtfully before falling backwards, laying on Nimbus as he stares up at the clouds above. Training solo doesn't seem to be doing much for him and no matter how much he thinks about it, nothing comes to mind.]


D) Baseball - Near Forseti's temple

[After the first ball went through one of the window's of Aymeric's temple, Goten decided to put a little more distance between himself and their home. He'd have to apologize later to his god the next time he saw him but for now he was focusing on his swing.

It was his last visit to the Near Shore that he spotted some other kids playing the game. He didn't really understand it and even though he tried to play and get their attention it was no use. Goten knows why that is but it's still frustrating. Seeing other kids roughly his age playing and not being able to join in isn't fun.

So maybe if he practice the game and got really good they would some how be able to see him long enough to play!

He's trying his best but his attempts aren't going so well. Tossing the ball up into the air, he then tries to swing with the bat only to miss almost every time. The few times he does hit the ball it goes flying in a random direction or down at the ground so look out!]

B- Temple exploration

[There is a high stone wall surrounding a foreboding, somber mead hall. A chill hangs in the air and in the distance, the howl of a wolf can be heard.

This dramatic scene is completely ruined of course by the dapper looking corgi romping about by the gate. He yips at his new friend Goten, waggling his little butt excitedly.

Best guard dog.]

[Any uneasiness the temple gave him at first is almost instantly gone thanks to the friendly corgi. The yip did make him jump just a little and make him spin around quickly but he instantly relaxes. He likes animals and dogs are no exception to that!

Blinking, Goten perks at Sisi and kneels down to greet the corgi with his hands held out. Truly the best guard dog since no one would be able to resist trying to befriend the canine. Muchless with a hat on.]

Hi there. Is this your home?

[Does sniffing his hand and then licking his fingers constitute a yes? Probably. Either way, this is his home.

It's followed up with another yip and a play bow. It's time to play, right?]

[Goten laughs a little at the licking before reaching out to try and pet the corgi while being mindful of the hat. He really wonders how that stays on anyway. This new friend is clearly energetic.]

Nice to meet you too. I'm Goten.

[He smiles, looking around for a toy or stick or something.]

[Random direction, you say? How about directly behind Goten somehow, bouncing back out of sight- before landing securely in Sharak's hand, a few metres behind Goten.]

You might do better throwing it higher and giving yourself time to get into position, Goten.

[Hi.]

[Before he can even turn around to try and find the ball, Sharak's voice makes him stop and blink. He tilts his head back to look at her]

Hmm-- Oh hey Shark!

[He perks up before turning around. Nice catch!]

Do you know how to play?

Hello, Goten.

[Sharak tosses the ball in the air and catches it again.]

I know a little, I suppose. Baseball, right? [Sports are a thing, right? Right.] Did you want to learn?

[While Goten is laying on Nimbus, a flash of red streaks overhead. What's odd, perhaps, is that the flash of red seems to be on top of a handle that seems to stretch beyond the shinki's sight. However, it does screech to a stop and Lavi peers down at Goten curiously.]

Goten?

[sonofson]

[Goten stares up at him from his spot on Nimbus. He blinks before squinting up at the older shinki, looking confused. How did he get all the way up there?]

Huh...?

[Nimbus practically seems to read his mind as Goten sits up. The cloud floats upwards so he can get a better look at who else is flying. Even once they're both leveled with each other, Goten can't help but stare. He follows the handle but he can't see where it's coming from so he focuses his gaze back on Lavi.]

....How'd you get all the way up here?

[lostinshadows]

I used a hammer.

[As if that isn't vague.

He eyes Nimbus curiously, blinking.]

No offense to the cloud, but can't you already fly without it?

[ Ignoring for a moment what is he doing here - probably nothing good - he does notice a familiar face playing fishing...

Did he make an impression or what? Son Goten had supposedly mastered an alternate and more interesting method of fishing ]

Hey kiddo -what's up? Any bites? [ He approaches suddenly by dropping down from a nearby tree ]

[Goten looks over to him, he'd been started had the god not called out to him first. Where did he even come from? Maybe he lived in the trees?]

Hey Kuu!

[Goten smiles at him before holding up the make-shift rod which is nothing more then a bamboo stick with a string attached. But he's proud of it all the same.]

I haven't tried yet, I was still working on it. I've never fished like this before...what do fish like?

[ Tiny first steps towards making own fishing rod. That's admirable. ]

Worms, usually. Or just food left-overs, like the chicken skin you don't like or such. [ That could be a good excuse for being a picky-eater. Probably a bad idea to give a kid pointers like that. But nevermind that, the pond seems kind of small, so any catch is probably going to be equally tiny. But he got an idea-

He saw a cat wandering around, and now chilling like only cats can, on a warm rock nearby. ]

I didn't tell you a secret! With right bait, you can catch more than just fishes on that rod.

[She's barely paying attention.

She's just out on an errand for her gods.]

[Goten blinks, glancing over his shoulder to Homura.]

Worms?

[He looks from his make-shift pole, to the water and back over to her]

Are you good at finding worms?

[She looks at him oddly for a moment.]

Why would I know how to do that?

[Hijikata's out for a stroll near his temple when he spots that flash of energy in the sky over a nearby abandoned shrine. Curiosity and slight paranoia compel him to go and check it out, and the latter leaves him relieved when he gets closer and recognizes Goten. Even as a god, it's hard getting used to some of the powers people around here have...]

[As Goten leans back onto his cloud, Hijikata steps nearer, waving slightly.]

Hard at work?

[Perking at the voice, Goten lifts his legs and pushes himself back up to a sitting position on Nimbus. He looks over to Hijikata, smiling almost instantly and returning the wave with a bit more enthusiasm. If it isn't his favorite multi-colored duck god...]

Kinda, I was training. How have you been, Hijikata?

[Hijikata shrugs, settling his weight back on his heels and ruffling a hand through his hair. It was shorter when he was at the end of his life, but he's been growing it back out here, since he doesn't have to worry about making a point of adopting more modern ways for the sake of victory anymore. At the moment, it's at an awkward length where he could tie it back, but he'd feel a bit silly about bothering to do so.]

Fine enough. Been doing the usual sorts of things.

[Tending to the needs of his followers, hunting ayakashi, training, poking quietly at heavenly intrigue in the background. Domestic life with Souji. Smoking. Trying to keep the ducks from trying to eat everything he owns. You know, normal, averae stuff.]

It's been a little while. You've been well?

[The flash was what drew her attention most. From what she knew of the area, these were Temples which had been abandoned. Not that there was anything wrong with someone being there. Just that it was worth further investigation.]

[When she caught sight of the young boy, things fell a little more into place. She made sure she wasn't interrupting at a crucial moment before approaching.]

You've been busy, Goten.

[sonofson]

[Goten perks and glances over to her upon hearing his name. It's only a second after that that he's already practically bouncing over to her]

Hi Mai! What are you doing over here?

[If she was interupting anything, it clearly wasn't too important to Goten.]

I'm training!

[waitingforhope]

[It was impossible not to smile at the sight of that face coming towards her.]

I see that.

[The flash. Plus nimbus. Although she did wonder what kind of training he could do on his own, since she didn't see any signs of anyone else around.]

Although I was referring to more than just the training. [Despite her words, her own smile didn't falter and she seemed far too at ease to be anything but amused.] I spoke with Gohan recently. He told me what happened.

Go Bros

[He had flown over to Gohan's temple the following day after talking with Mai. She had made it clear that he needed to apologize and given him a good push to do so. Even though he knew it was the right thing to do...it didn't make it any easier. It's not like apologizing to someone he knew. Apologizing to Izumo and Shizuo was easy. But with Gohan...he isn't so sure.

He lands one the temple grounds. Though the temple is in front of him, he can't help but look to the forest-area. It's tempting to go look for more dinosaurs--no Goten! You're here for a reason!

Nodding firmly to himself, Goten Tip toes up to the temple by a nearby window and peeks through it for any sign of the older Son.]

[The moment Goten has entered the temple premises, Gohan has become acutely aware of him. Or rather, he's sensed his brother coming long before he even reached the temple. It's made him curious, wondering what exactly has him coming back. It's why he's hidden his own ki as he approaches the shinki, watching him curiously.

He's reminded of Goten back home and holds but the pang of heartache that comes.

Eventually, he lets his ki known to the other.]

Goten, what are you doing here?

[sonofson]

[He hadn't sensed his ki before so he's not trying to sense it now. Though he notices something change when he releases it. But Gohan's voice reaches him before he can focus too much on it. Goten jumps and spins around to look at Gohan.]

How.....

[He stares at the god. Any sneaking around he was going to do is out the window. But he settles down. Gohan doesn't look upset.]

You said I could come by if I wanted to right?
