Who: Butch, Chikusa, and Fushimi
When: September 12th (some time after Fushimi's post)
Where: Epona’s Temple
What: The shinki might not like it, but they need to talk.
[ While he had known that it was a worthless hope, Roy had been hoping that they’d be able to work things out somehow. Avoiding each other most of the time and clashing often when they are near isn’t healthy in the long run, and he’s not the only one who was concerned. But it would be better for Chikusa and Fushimi to talk. Not make friends, he knows that’s an impossibility, but at least so they’ll make some form of peace that won’t grate on their nerves. Roy is well aware that they have no desire to talk, but it needs to happen and pushing it aside for another day isn’t going to help.
While he’s asked Ken to help Alba in the stables for a while, so he is at least distracted for the time being and won’t make matters even more complicated, Roy has asked to have a word with Fushimi and Chikusa. The dining room (that they don’t really use since there’s a table in the kitchen) is neutral enough grounds, he hopes. Not to mention that there are no sharp objects in there, in case the boys starts to fight. Which he hopes not but he is far too aware that there are no guarantees.
He leans against the ledge of an open window, so the cigarette smoke won’t get stuck in the furniture (he wouldn’t care normally but it’s not actually his house) and though he’s nervous about how this will go - he doesn’t want to make things worse - he needs to try. ]
Well then, lads, how bout y’take a seat?
[ It’s a suggestion, of course, they can stay standing if they want to, but there are a lot of chairs around the table and who knows how long they'll be here.]

This is so stupid.]

[So, with even more reluctant slowness than his usual shuffle, he goes to collapse in one seat and simply... slumps over the table.]
[He'd rather stab himself, quite frankly.]
no subject
I know the two a’ you ain’t exactly keen on talkin’ but it’d be easier iffen ya don’t need’a be avoidin’ each other so much, don’t you think?

He's lying.
no subject
I ain't askin' you to be friends or anythin', or to get along, but the hostility's a problem.
Chikusa, when ya're accusin' someone of lyin', you ought'a say why y' think they're lying'.

Just.... break your nose or something.... and you started it.
[This is the dumb bullshit Roy gets to deal with now.]
Anyway.... That was before, so I don't see why it matters...
no subject
[ He feels like he's suddenly back home dealing with squabbling siblings, but without the advantage of knowing what will actually solve their problems. ]
So why were ya lookin' to break his nose?

no subject
[What? He's honest. That's the basic fact of it. Still, he won't leave it at that.]
His reaction was worst, honestly... He kept slamming into people, and then set my hat on fire.
no subject
Annoyed you how?

Try to learn how to tell a regular fight from a murder attempt...
[There's something in his monotone that hints that not knowing this is a personal failing of his.]
....But the actual attempt wasn't my fault anyway. [His gaze shifts from Fushimi to Butch and back again.] Or did it miss everyone how weird that night was...
no subject
[ He's merely stating a fact here, no insult meant. Roy crushes what little is left of his cigarette in the ashtray and fishes out a new one from its pack. ]
I'm fine with you havin' regular fights, iffen it's helpful in gettin' your frustration out'a your system - Lord knows me'n my siblings did a whole lot'a that growin' up - but I ain't convinced it's goin' to do the two'a you a whole lot'a good.
no subject
[If Fushimi could behave, Chikusa is clearly just looking for an excuse.]
It won't. Which is why I avoid him and the other one.
no subject
[Now why does that sound familiar...]
And he acts like he's the one pulling all the weight, too... So egotistical.
no subject
Awright so, tell me exactly why the two'a you got off'n the wrong foot at the start.
no subject
no subject
[He won't let this inaccurate slander go without commentary.]
no subject
Why's bumpin' into people a problem in the first place? It happens, it ain't life or death.
[ Please explain this to the old man who is not even trying to hide his confusion over this thing. ]
no subject
Ask him. I retaliated when tried to trip me. That's it. I have done everything I can to avoid him after that.
[Occasionally there might have been some verbal sparring. Fushimi doesn't remember.]
no subject
Besides... I've been avoiding him just as much.
no subject
It would be easier iffen ya ain't got no need t'be avoidin' each other...
[ That's really the key issue he wants to solve here. ]
Why'd ya try to trip him at all though?
no subject
no subject
[Sometimes, things are just that simple.]
I didn't think it would be a big deal....
[Or that, you know. They'd share a god. The world is really too damn small.]
no subject
[ He knows he's old fashioned in some ways, since he's from a different time and on top of that he's middle age, but, still. ]
no subject
[And this is coming from the man who carries like. Twenty throwing knives on him at any given moment.]
no subject
[Because you want to go, Fushimi?]
