Who: Izumo and you
When: September 17-19
Where: Double Cross Bar, abandoned temples, or every other temple
What: Aftermath of the Moon event, possible Welcome Center things, and Izumo just needing a huge break from this all.

[A. Double Cross Bar - Morning]

[Anyone who decides to come to the bar today will surprisingly find it closed. There’s no sign that states the reason why, but it is.

Until Izumo walks up to the bar, eyebrow raised upon seeing whoever might be waiting outside.]

Haven’t been waiting long, have you?

[B. Training]

[It’s been a while since he’s actually done any sort of training with his borderlines, so he’s taken up a spot at an abandoned temple. He doesn’t really seem to be focused on doing the regular borderline casting spell, but is instead working on the offensive type.

Which is why anyone who’s walking by should immediately backtrack the moment an offensive borderline surrounded in flames flies by their face.

Izumo looks somewhat apologetic.]

Did you get hit?

[C. Temple Hopping]

[Due to his injuries from Grell, healed by Mikoto, Izumo has mostly taken up residency at Yona’s temple. There are some days where he would suddenly disappear without a word to the main residents there, often being at either Aymeric’s or even somewhere near Nari’s temple. Since he’s still recovering, he’s trying not to move around too much, but he also hates staying still as well.

It’s why it’s not surprising to see him around Cnoc Ainé, Neptune’s Compound, or even Forseti’s Temple. Anyone who runs into him at or near these places are free to bother him or convince him to get some more rest. Being hurt by a chainsaw isn’t exactly the best, after all.]

[ Yoon didn't know Izumo well at all. His only impression of him was his participation in that network post.

So when he shows up at Yona's temple, Yoon takes notice right away. After about an hour and Izumo hasn't left yet, Yoon finally approaches with all of the bravado of thinking he knows what's going on. Aymeric and Leo were both gods, and the tone of the post had struck a nerve with Yoon, so obviously that meant... ]

What's a god like you doing spending so much time here today?

[ Even as he says that though, he's eying Izumo up and down as he does to everyone upon first meeting in-person, taking stock of the sort of person they are. ]

[Ah, this is the boy Leo's been talking on the post, isn't he? Izumo recalls him briefly from the time they've talked about Goten, but he's never really gotten to know him.

However, there is some bemusement on his face upon the question.]

Really, I wonder how rich I'd be if someone keeps mistaking me for a god. [He keeps his tone light, showing Yoon how Izumo doesn't seem to mind it at all that he's been mistaken for one.]

But to answer your question, I'm staying here for a bit. It hurts if I move too much.

[ That makes his tone shift so fast there might as well have been a teacup dropping somewhere nearby. ]

What kind of hurt is it?

[ He instinctively reaches for his satchel that isn't there, because he only takes it with him when he's leaving the temple. So it's not far away - in his room - but it's not on hand either. Instead, he just waits for an answer. ]

[He looks mildly surprised by the sudden shift.]

Some leftover aches from the injuries I received. My god healed most of it, but some of them are likely to reopen if I do anything strenuous.

[Not to mention he's been dipping in Yona's healing springs.]

[Ah so this IS the guy Yona told him about after all. Now he remembers. The attitude for analysis slips back in.]

Mikoto, right? What kind of healing powers does he have, anyway?

[He approaches Izumo with little regard for personal space and starts to analyze what he can tell with all of Izumo's clothes on - how his stance is, his vision tracking, all kinds of things.]

Depending on the hurt, even standing could be too strenuous you know.

It can heal blight and most major injuries, but if he uses it too much, he'll pass out.

[Woah, kid. Personal space.

Izumo lets him inspect him, somewhat bemused.]

I'm aware. Yona's healing spring has helped, too.

So if you're recovered that much...

[He shakes his head in frustration.]

This kind of stuff doesn't make any sense to me, as much as I keep trying to figure it out. Magic healing that high quality shouldn't leave someone so exposed to re-opening a wound, if it did such a good job sealing the opening in the first place! If it was that shoddy a healing job, it should show up somehow by now... Hmph!

[He crosses his arms and shakes his head. He's starting to wish...]

One of the spells that they teach shinki should be one of these healing powers.

[Izumo watches him, mostly bemused.

He could see in a way why the younger would feel frustrated about that sort of thing. Then again, he decides not to mention how it was really only a quick heal before Mikoto left him at Yona's and disappeared somewhere.

Even so, he smiles.]

For all we know, there could be a spell of healing. It's not as if we've managed to uncover all the shinki spells.

[He blinks. That hadn't occurred to him just yet. Magic is such a strange, nebulous thing.]

Well now I know what to bother the librarians about the next time I'm there.

[He imagines all the good he could do with magical healing powers.]

Until then though... I suppose Yona's been making you something while you're staying here. I'll make something heartier. Soup is best.

Please do. It'd be good to have a healing spell among us.

[Less of a hassle for everyone, too.

...Is he being mother henned by a mother hen? Izumo looks bemused, but he doesn't argue.]

Soup doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.

Good, because my soup is amazing.

[If he does say so himself.

Almost like he spent a LOT of thing making soups. Of all varieties.]

Some things you don't need magic to make well! Are you going to rest in your room or do you want to eat at a table?

I'd rather eat at a table if you don't mind.

[He definitely isn't okay with resting in his room all the time. It's why he's bothered wandering out.]

Of course I don't mind. If you take longer to heal, it just means you won't go on prayers until you are healed.

[Obviously.

So he can kind of guilt-trip the guy into healing as fast as possible, but if he doesn't take Yoon's advice, well... there's always consequences.]

[Izumo laughs a bit.]

I think I'm fine not answering prayers for a while.

[That last one he did with Yona was....something.]

Good.

[They make it to the kitchen and Yoon starts pulling out the cutlery and cutting board.]

I won't ask your favorite vegetable because you should eat them regardless, but is there anything you can't eat right now?

[Well, this is a first.

Izumo's not sure how to feel about someone actually cooking for him.]

Nope. Anything is fine.

Good.

[He feels like he's going to say that a lot. But off Yoon goes, slicing up vegetables with skill and precision, then moving to slice up some chicken into smaller chunks. The vegetables go into the oven to bake while the meat goes into a skillet. He starts some water heating up and adds herbs and spices. After a few minutes (10-15) he pulls the vegetables from the oven and adds them to the water. Then he still hunts for this thing he found at the store - some chicken stock in a can. He adds that into the pot, then the cooked chicken. As thinly as he sliced everything, he's hoping it only takes 20-30 minutes to cook, but now he starts puttering around cleaning up after himself.]

[Throughout it all, Izumo watches, somewhat interested and amused. So, this is how it feels like to have someone cook for him instead of it being the other way around. It's no wonder Goten was learning how to cook from Yoon; the other shinki certainly had a way of going through the motions with incredible ease.

He smiles.]

So, how close are you to Yona?

What kind of a question is that? You've been here at her temple. You know I don't even live here.

[He's assuming an underlying question about the nature of their relationship and he's preemptively getting defensive about it.]

That's not what I'm asking, Yoon.

[His smile turns gentle.]

I'm just noticing how close the two of you are is all.

Oh.

[Hm. Okay then.]

She's from the same world I am. We traveled together. She... actually asked to take me with her on her travels.

[He's only willing to tell him that because he's another of her shinki.]

[Don't look so defensive, Yoon.

Izumo hums softly.]

I see. She cares a lot for you.

[Look how red he gets as a knife slams on the cutting board.]

A-as a friend!

[AND ONLY AS A FRIEND. FOR SURE.]

[.....

He looks bemused.]

Yes, of course as a friend. [Why would there be anything more?]

Good.

[ He pushes the food towards Izumo. ]

Enjoy.

[ He looks ready to bolt now for COMPLETELY UNRELATED REASONS. ]
