[A. Double Cross Bar - Morning]
[Anyone who decides to come to the bar today will surprisingly find it closed. There’s no sign that states the reason why, but it is.
Until Izumo walks up to the bar, eyebrow raised upon seeing whoever might be waiting outside.]
Haven’t been waiting long, have you?
[B. Training]
[It’s been a while since he’s actually done any sort of training with his borderlines, so he’s taken up a spot at an abandoned temple. He doesn’t really seem to be focused on doing the regular borderline casting spell, but is instead working on the offensive type.
Which is why anyone who’s walking by should immediately backtrack the moment an offensive borderline surrounded in flames flies by their face.
Izumo looks somewhat apologetic.]
Did you get hit?
[C. Temple Hopping]
[Due to his injuries from Grell, healed by Mikoto, Izumo has mostly taken up residency at Yona’s temple. There are some days where he would suddenly disappear without a word to the main residents there, often being at either Aymeric’s or even somewhere near Nari’s temple. Since he’s still recovering, he’s trying not to move around too much, but he also hates staying still as well.
It’s why it’s not surprising to see him around Cnoc Ainé, Neptune’s Compound, or even Forseti’s Temple. Anyone who runs into him at or near these places are free to bother him or convince him to get some more rest. Being hurt by a chainsaw isn’t exactly the best, after all.]
[D. Wildcard]
[Feel free to hit me with a prompt of your own or plot with me atseabutterfly!]

[She lowers her head a bit, then lifts it again.]
Not that Roxas was a bad god, I was just a pair of gloves so I could only do so much... you know? Or, well...
[She puts her hands in front of her waist in thought.]
I can't remember your vessel form if you ever told me, I'm sorry.
no subject
[Izumo blinks and he smiles.]
No need to apologize. But you're not planning on trying to use a spell on me, are you?
[He's teasing - mostly.]
no subject
[She's got her finger on her chin as she tries to remember, but smiling too.]
My vessel form is an actual weapon, but it's really long like a staff, so it's super different. The little pincers at the top kinda form a mouth too.
[She makes a set of pincers with her right hand and puppets the 'pincers' opening and closing.]
no subject
Sorry, Kairi. Definitely can't teach you something like that unless you've managed to learn magic since I've last seen you.
[At seeing her gesture, he can't help but chuckle.]
That really is different than being a pair of gloves. But you sound like you're handling it pretty well.
no subject
Well, does this count as magic?
[And she puts her hand out to summon her keyblade.]
It can't rend ayakashi I don't think, but it's gotta be magical, right?
no subject
In a way, it makes a familiar ache in his chest, though he gives her a smile.]
You're not wrong about that. I wasn't expecting you to be able to wield that.
no subject
[She holds it close to her chest.]
I haven't talked about it much because... I only remembered the day that the temples disappeared.
[And the boys with them of course.]
In my memory, Riku gave this to me, but Sora and Roxas... they must have known too. They must have.
[She grips it tighter.]
I'm trying to think of it like I owe it to them to understand why I have one. And that starts with continuing my sword training.
no subject
He gives her a nod.]
Well, if you need any help learning how to wield it, I don't mind helping you even if I'm not a swordsman myself.
[But if she wants to use the keyblade in remembrance of Sora and Roxas, then who was he to tell her no?]
no subject
If there's one thing I've figured out so far...
[She spins her wrist to move the keyblade in a slow circle.]
It's that you can't really use this like a sword, anyway. Not the ones I've been practicing with so far, anyway.
no subject
Really? How do you use it then?
no subject
[She holds it to the side in a direction that won't hit Izumo, and then she swings with a big follow-through.]
Or maybe a baseball bat?
no subject
You don't sound too sure of yourself, Kairi.
no subject
[She starts to answer, then goes quiet. It's because all of her teachers are gone. But instead she focuses on another aspect.]
I only remember getting this keyblade, not how I used it compared to the others.
no subject
Maybe it'd be good not to have a comparison. That way, you'd be able to find your own style in using it instead of how Sora and Roxas used to.
no subject
Yeah...
[But she looks a little sadder.]
I guess you have a point.
no subject
[He reaches over, giving her a head pat.]
Well, let's see how well you'll do with that against my fire, first of all.
no subject
Then she gets a little confused look.]
How would a sword even protect against fire magic? It's not like bunting in baseball...
no subject
From my experience with that blade, it has its own magical properties. It may be effective defending against magic so long as you're careful with it.
no subject
Did you spar with Roxas and Sora and Riku?!
[MIND. BLOWN.]
no subject
Izumo looks a bit lost on the name.]
Mostly with Sora, actually.
no subject
[She nods softly in thought.]
So... how did Sora defend with it? Just like...
[She holds it up - one hand in the place a hand looks like it should naturally go and the other up near the 'key' part.]
no subject
Just like that.
no subject
[Since she's more convinced that she'd be the one to miss a cue from him to block the fire than he'd screw up casting his magic in the first place.]
